Aww man, I was reading the IGN review and was disappointed Greg Miller wasn't reviewing it. I wanted them funny melodramatic quotes.

I still love you colin, you sold me on guacamelee before it was cool

their review wont matter to the last of us.............

to us it shows what polygon is. they are the worst score on one of the best reviewed titles of the gen.(maybe some random blog go lower after a week) if it doesn't flop commercially who is going to look dumb?
polygon "haters" or polygon?lets hope it sells.

I think the bigger litmus test is the reaction of gamers in general. Remember the furore over one of the Uncharted 3 scores? Well that score turned out to be pretty much justified in the end, after the dust had settled and everyone had actually played the damn thing.

Thanks for the reminder, i haven't touched my PS3 since forever.
Neither have I. It was completely unplugged and it took me 5 minutes to find the right plug.

My PS3 controller is associated with MotioninJoy instead of the PS3...

Mandatory update... tons of friend requests...

Ya, I haven't touched my PS3 in forever.

This will make people happy
While this is not an open-world game in the textbook sense, it feels remarkably dense for employing such spacious environments. A typical slice of unbroken space might incorporate a street, several alleys and a variety of multistorey shops or dwellings. This approach to level design gracefully serves the game’s narrative context: when an apocalyptic event knocks out the structured routine of law-abiding society, you’d expect there to be more latitude in your decision-making.

The world of The Last Of Us is big enough to get lost in, and without the aid of a minimap, we did on several occasions. Whereas Uncharted often felt like walking down a scenic but clearly delineated hiking trail, The Last Of Us prizes deep, meaningful exploration.

Sterling:

This is very, very concerning to me.

Can someone verify this please?

I want to play a very realistic playthrough (probably hard my first go about), where every bullet counts.

But the concept of regular humans taking up to 3 shots to the head before they die might make me just play this game on easy and go for the narrative only. Because what's the point of hyping this survival mechanic, this every bullet counts, if the humans don't behave like humans, but rather robots?

Now I know why the Polygon reviewer didn't like it.

Watch this part. He simply sucks at the game, I don't mean that as an insult, just watching him shoot is painful.

This isn't a run and gun game, and he's clearly moving all over the place when taking shots. You are supposed to stand still, catch your breath (the reticule will minimize) and then take your shot.

This is the same journo that refused to review a game when he got stuck fishing at the wrong part of the sea in a game, despite the game having a map icon pointing the player to the correct place, correct?

Yes yes fucking yes!!!! I played through the demo with my A40s and when the building was creeking and shaking it was intense.

I just got some A50s just for this game, how easy are they to set up?

Feel tempted to watch video reviews :( but I don't wanna see spoilers

They have really strong restrictions.

No one is allowed to talk about the beginning or anything after the halfway point. We can more or less only talk about the stuff you have seen in the trailers and nothing else. We can't even discuss some of the easter eggs and main character motivations.

If only arne was here he could clear up this talk about multiple headshots on a humans on a game that's suppose to be realistic and low on ammo and every bullet counts, etc

This reminds me of Uncharted 3 shipping with borked ass aiming controls and yet most critics gave it a 9/10, not even mentioning the control problem that were plain as day for many GAFfers

C'mon now.

I love sony as much as anyone, but the amount of shit people give towards Bioshock Infinite is ridiculous on this site. It's as if they have some sort of hidden agenda. Infinite is a spectacular game, one of the generations finest, and if you have the chance purchase both titles.

(especially when no one has even played the last of us yet)
I'm not saying its a bad game lol
It can be completed in one day
If anything I'd wait for a complete edition tbh
TLOU has mp which might give someone more value
It doesn't look that great but we'll see

I regret clicking this.

But upside down forced shooting part?
Really? What's next, infinite ammo setpiece?

Still very excited for the game, but come on.

yea apparently, listening mode off and a good sound system is a must to so you can hear the enemies.

I want to grab a pair of pulse ellite, but i want to know if they are compatible with PS4.

best buy offers a protection plan where if they dont you can get your money back something like that, I just did it with my Astros its 40 bucks. @Slty thanks for the info.

I literally just loaded up the game and just used the revolver to headshot a hunter, 1 hit kill.

Well don't you look foolish now ViewtifulJC.

Not everyone had aiming problems. I for one had zero issues with the aiming.

Its always funny reading posts from game reviewers when they put out a score that is just out there.

High or low... when you are just out there compared to everyone else you did a bad job. Suck it up and dont cry like a baby twitter.

It funny people acting like he is a victim. Its was the guy first video review so I am sure he been under some pressure. Better luck next time.

I have this weird fear that as Naughty Dog leaves their more wacky days behind them they're gonna eventually change the logo to better reflect their recent games

then again it's the name that could sit a bit goofy now, not really the logo

hope they keep everything

so how many reviews are left to come at this point ? you know just to get an estimate about final metacritic score, i seriously wasn't expecting a 96

In the multiplayer section of the video review he's running and shooting and it works just fine.
