I'm not one for spoilers per se, and most things I've heard rumoured I want to check out myself. But can anyone confirm the below for me:

Are there really 900 Korok seeds to find? Or was it a typo in the leaked guide? 900 seems ridiculous.

A mate already looted 50+ seeds while exploring

Guys is this gonna dethrone LttP?

Is this going to be the best 3D Zelda yet?

I feel so ridiculously excited based on the things I've read about the design - open, go anywhere anytime (Link Between Worlds vibe)...

Okay seriously what's up with weapon degradation? Watching streams that's single handedly turning me off the game.
It's such an annoying mechanic especially with no way to repair them. I don't get what game Nintendo got inspired by to add it, it's always been nothing more than a nuisance in any game.

No repair mechanic? I really dislike that. If anything just make it really expensive.

In any game I'm super apprehensive about using special ammunition/weapons/potions/items in case I really need them later. Then I end up not using them or something. I know if I find an awesome weapon I'm probably just going to keep it in inventory, which sucks. It puts a weird stress on me.

This may be a really dumb question, but can you play the game through Off-TV mode on Wii U? I haven't read any reviews (I'm afraid of even minor spoilers), but I remember reading that they removed the Gamepad map from the Wii U version for parity reasons.

And phenomenal OT, I love it!

You definitely can.

The inventory is small enough at the start of the game that you'll get over your need to hoard powerful weapons.

It is time.

Yes

Edit: beaten

Absolutely beautiful OT, well done! Can't wait to be playing this tomorrow. Feels so surreal that I may be playing one of the greatest games ever made in a little under a day.

It's probably right tbh, but they don't all need finding.

I'm gonna pick up the physical release here in Japan. I think it has been confirmed now that the game supports English so nothing is holding me back!

Just two more hours until the store opens.

So my most important question about this game is:

Did Nintendo said anything about the ost? Pokemon had it at least on itunes.

Can I just sell the stuff the standard enemies are dropping or should I keep it for later? And what about
stones and Minerals?

Is there an option in the Wii U version to have the sound come through on the gamepad while playing on the tv? I want to play the game with headphones if I can.

I'm planning on going to sleep right when I get home from the midnight launch, because I really hate staying up all night, but I don't know if I will be able to resist playing this game. fuck!

I'd just play blind and play it how you feel it. You'll learn all of this in time.

If it bothers you though, here's the low down on items:
There is no vendor trash. Every single item has a use.

However in the early game rupees are far more valuable than items so don't be afraid to sell tons of stuff. It's plentiful. Keep a few of each item if you can for the future.

The exception is anything marked 'Ancient X'. You'll want to hold onto these. And the ores are what you should sell as they are very valuable and you don't get a chance to use them for a long, long time depending on where you end up going. Ores are nowhere near as rare as you might think.

Buying a new set of kit from the ores you sell can help hugely in the early game.

EDIT: Also don't be afraid to spend rupees on arrows. You always want to have at least 10 arrows or so on you, they're tremendously helpful and when you get caught without them it's a real pain in the ass. Very hard to find in the wild, too.

Oh by the way, here's an edited/patched up version of that GameInformer art, with logos/text removed, gaps painted over and things generally cleaned up a bit. An asset for the OT I didn't end up using, but thought I'd share anyway!

Anyone wanna do the same for the Famitsu cover?

Yeah that definitely happens to me.

Has anyone watching the streams noticed if the instrumental from the 2015 E3 trailer is in the game or if it was just trailer music? Please tell me it's the former!

There are normal enemies that can oneshot you so you're going to use them eventually.

You won't hold on to your awesome weapons in this game, because it's not that kind of game and you'll learn that quickly. Weapons are crazy disposable, they often last only two or three enemies. Hoarding them won't do you any good.

That said if you have a weapon that's way better than anything else you have it makes sense to save it for a tough fight, but there are tons of those anyway. You'll go through hundreds of weapons, trust me.

You can find a super special weapon in a secret location, think it's unique and incredible and then an hour later find a random mob wielding it.

lol

an OT so epic you need to download an extension to view it. Thanks OP my laptop fan is on now

see you all on the otherside. Hopefully I could get a copy without a preorder since my SE is not available until monday
