That sounds like fun. NOT! Why would they put this iconic sword of the series in a puzzle?

It is a million times cooler to
hear stories about it and optionally search through a hidden forest while having to have an actual in-game requirement to retrieve it like the lore always made it out to be
than to have it just handed to you.

What region?
I know I said last question, lol, but I want to know where to look when the time comes.

Follow a certain
Big Korok dudes
direcrions if you have not found him yet he is
near the very first village you visit for the main quest

Edit: region
norrh of hyrule castle

Spoiler for "A Gift of Nightshade" side quest.

I wish
Perda would accompany me everywhere. Wabbin tried to give me a red rupee but she yelled at him for being cheap and he gave me a silver instead

Man getting the blue flame for robbie was an excellent advanture. The game design is crazy good in this game.

I have a feeling im missing out on a lot of cool stuff with how large the world is and how packed with content it is. I could play this game for years to come.

Wasn't this quest fucking cool? You hear stories about
the Lovers Pond including that old gerudo lady who searched for it her whole life and you can just take clues from a man in Lurelin village to find it...and even play matchmaker for two lovers who heard the story and actually managed to find it themselves as well.

Also don't forget to check the water

There's such an ugly haze in this game quite frequently. Just this greyish shit that subdues all the colors. I'm not sure why they chose to have it.

Saw it too.
Were the small magical rabbits there too? The rabbits drop rupees when shot. Had the Sheika stealth armour on so I was able to sneak up on the lord of the mountain. I tried to mount him, but he was too strong. There's a side quest where a guy wants rare meat from that mountain, but I'm not sure if that's the animal you need to kill. Would be a shame.
Afterwards I checked youtube and some people
were able to ride him. 5 stamina that instantly recovered, but it couldn't be registered as a horse. I don't think we know everything yet.
Is that what's in the aurora looking light that shows up some nights? That is cool as all hell, goddamn.

That's one thing I really love about this game, is the fact you hear tons of little stories and rumours about various places in the world. Talking to NPCs, they mention some place and it makes me want to go out and see if I can find it!

I really enjoy all the little details they peppered throughout the world.

One more basic question (only played WW before this Zelda where dodging was super easy). I find that dodging side to side almost never seems to dodge the enemy's swinging melee attacks. Is that the case for all of you too or am i just bad at dodging side to side. Doing the backwards jump dodge works quite well on some enemies for me. Haven't really bothered with parrying. Should I?

Any basics I should keep in mind for the dodging/parrying?

One other thing. Amber. What can I do with it?

This game is too much. I have been playing for almost 30 hours and I just unlocked the
4th tower, Lake Hylia. The other 3 are Great Plateau, Kakariko village and Hateno village ones.
I still haven't even gone to
Impa after restoring the rest of the functions of the Sheikah Slate

I get sidetracked so easily lol

You don't get invincibility from dodging lol. Dodge side to side if the enemy swings up and down, do a backflip if the enemy swings side to side

Backflip horizontal swings and sidehop thrusts/overhead swings.

Recent Tales of games trained me to do this automatically I guess. lol

View it as less of a Zelda dodge, more of a Dark Souls dodge. Perfectly time it, and you'll flurry attack 'em. Anything less, you'll get cranked.

As someone who is really weird about spoilers, I'd like a very simple yes or no to this question: Can you get the classic garb in this game? Or, rather, can you get the *hat*?

If you are looking for the master sword so you dont have to deal with durability.... lets say you may want to try a different zelda game

Yeah, same, I've barely made it through a few of the combat shrines because I could rarely get the flurry attack (and if I miss the dodge/parry I get one-shot killed or at least super close to dead)

Guys. What a fucking game. Wow.

I am loving the shrines. So much fun. They remind me of those special levels in Mario Sunshine when you didn't have Fludd.

Also, shame on me, I bought the OoT and Smash Bros Link amiibo today so I could get some skins, lol

Yes

This is a horse taming question in regards to a side mission for a horse. I'll spoiler it but how much stamina do you need to get
Zelda's horse?

It really was a magic Mononoke moment :P The place is cool too, went there the day before and it has a pink cherry blossom tree. I really recommend going there when it glows.

Anyone else on the zora helmet. I got a rupee at totop lake

It's there, I got it today.
In a chest in the bottom of the lake, in the ruins. Towards the back of the house

It's immense. I've clocked maybe 40 hours and have only done one
Divine Beast
. I just love this world so much.

I think it's these two things:

1) The hardware is obviously not good enough for it and if there wasn't a haze it'd look poor since the shortcomings would be more apparent. For evidence look at any area with minimal haze, all you'll see is flat and blurry textures, low LoD and little geometric density. The Haze kind of gives depth to the atmosphere taking a bit of attention away from the flaws.

2) As an added benefit of the environment being subdued, the shrines now stick out more since they contrast with everything else in the environment.

I definitely recommend you spend some time gathering materials whenever you get the chance. Good possibility a side quest requesting 5+ items pops up. I bumped into someone wanting hot footed frogs and completed that one right away.

where's the best place to get stamella mushrooms? or any other stamina increasing ingredients. I ran out of all my stamina food trying to tame
the lord of the mountain
lol

I just got (item spoiler)
A kick ass Fire Sword (forgot the name)
from
The maze in the NE corner of the map
. If I use it up, will I ever get to replace it?

Yep. My constant habit of blowing up ores payed off when some guy wanted 10 of something and I already had 15.

Holy shit.....just had an incredible moment just now and it honestly blew my mind! I mean I had my mind blown in this game already but this one just peaked everything else I had so far!

(Lake Floria/Floria Bridge area/Random(?) Event/Creature spoiler)
For those who know where this location is, I was just exploring around here and the surrounding area for materials/food when a lightning storm started coming through the area outta the blue. I had no wooden melee weapons at all, the only wooden weapons I had were some Spiked Boko Bows so I took out my bow out just in case. The lighting was getting closer and you know that it warns you if you're gonna get a lightning strike soon right? I saw static forming on Link and immediately knew I was gonna be f'ed up in a few moments so now I'm jumping off cliffs and gliding into the rain forest to find anywhere to be safe! All of a sudden, I got caught in a updraft literally out of nowhere! I looked down and there was no fire so I'm thinking "wtf is going on?" but then noticed that everything seems unnaturally bright for some strange reason. At the same time, I'm hearing a different yet majestic music playing....low and behold to the right of me was f'in
FAROSH
coming out the freakin' waterfall from above!!! I finally landed and I was in awe at how random this was since it just came outta nowhere! At the same time, I noticed that the lighting storm was gone....seriously, the whole area was clear of any storm but it was just really bright from the energy around
Farosh
. After that, I just watched it dive in and out of the river and under Floria Bridge then right out the area above another waterfall. I don't know what to say but wow, what a absolutely AMAZING experience!!
Sorry that I'm so hyped but man, this game is absolutely amazing.....a master class in gaming experience.

Also I said this before but fuckkkkk man, I really hope Nintendo adds video recording in the next firmware update or really soon. This game was MADE for it, seriously.

Here are some screens I took during the event! And spoilering this just in case someone haven't been to Lake Floria/Floria Bridge yet and also doesn't know who
Farosh
is.

Lighting Storm at the Lake Floria/Floria Bridge area

Really crappy shot but this was me trying to screenshot my "wth is going on" moment(caught in random up draft with no fire). No spoiler since you can't see anything really.

make a stealth potion or two. mix up two or more stealth ingredients in batches of 5 looking for a 3 stealth boost. that'll basically let you run right up to wild animals and swim right up to fish.

then go to the river that cuts through dueling peaks. along the way, look for fish. you're bound to find some stamina fish. I've caught 20 in the last hour just fooling around in this area. mostly by using stealth elixirs so I can swim right up to fish. Then again I have used 12 orbs toward extending my Stamina and none toward Health so maybe it's just easier for me

There are not that rare. Also you cabonly use the first hit to stun with the elemental attack and then change weapon to continue the combo.
