The cost of the game is like the frame rate, it will drop from 60 to 30 soon enough.
Unfortunately, since it’s Nintendo, it’ll drop to $50 max and probably stay full price for a while. I have it coming from GameFly though so I’m excited to give it a whirl. The cost of the game is like the frame rate, it will drop from 60 to 30 soon enough.

Its a cool 3 hours of fun then you won't touch it.I'm liking the chamber dungeon idea, and I'm having a blast creating my own dungeons! It's really fun putting my own little flair to a classic game. I like chaining rooms of mini bosses together, though I wish I could make the enemies more difficult.
Which brings me to my next point on the dungeon maker, I find it a bit disappointing how limited you are in your options in building a custom dungeon. Though I haven't unlocked everything so maybe I'm wrong, but you can't put out specific item drops, connect specific stairs/passage ways (it decides what to connect seemingly), no uniform theme, no specific enemy or obstacle placement (all of the tiles are preset and unchangable). It's certainly lacking, but it does work and let's me be a bit creative.
This makes me want a full fledged zelda maker game.
It is very bare, but it's a start and you can do a little (not alot) with it. I just want a zelda maker within a similar vein of mario maker. Being able to actually make a dungeon instead of rearranging one would be hecka awesome. Its a cool 3 hours of fun then you won't touch it.
All i see is content ripped from better dungeons from the real game sadly.
The idea is fun tho.
But typical ninendo 1 step forward 2 backwards
Took me 3 days about 20 hours? For those that finished the game already, how long is the game if you want to do 100% completion? Thanks.
As in 92 hours!?Took me 3 days about 20 hours?
I spent maybe 22~24 hours on it, but I didn't quite 100% the game. There was a heart container or two that I didn't get and I didn't do all of the Dampe challenges. I did get all of the sea shells, did all trading, got the boomerang, and all of the Mabe village statues (including Bow Wow). For those that finished the game already, how long is the game if you want to do 100% completion? Thanks.
I have a feeling they won’t completely fix the issue.Regarding Nintendo patching their games, how soon are they on it. Im thinking should I wait and hope for a stable framerate patch or just go for it?
Well it doesn't take place in hyrule or have anything to do with the triforce. I don't really see why the lack of that particular item is a bad thing.I'm really enjoying the game. It's been so long since I played the original, it's like a whole new game to me right now. Performance is ROUGH though, even 100% in docked mode. As some have said, I'd vastly prefer locked 30 than what we got. Exiting buildings is the worst.
I was also a bit bummed to find out that there is no Master Sword in the game. I know you can get the one with the seashells, but it's just not the same.
yes! so otm. i agree with all of this. ALTTP was my first Zelda i ever beat, and I loved it so much. but this is a really special game. it really feels like an HD sequel to that game, with all the old systems, the enemies and items, but implemented with a much better story and with far better pacing. once you are in the dark world in that game, you kind of just go to one dungeon after the other. this game has you talking to people, going on side quests, exploring the world a little bit more. ah it's so good. if they patch the framerate i'd rate this a 10/10. unpatched i'd give it 9/10.The real surprise is how much better this game is than LttP that I had considered to be the pinnacle. The world in LA is much richer, the game has substantial QoL imprivements over LttP, the variety and memorability of NPCs is on a different level, but most importantly, the game has an insane amount of subsystems and minigames to keep you playing, And as a bonus, it has this inexplicable feel good factor, it feels chill to play.
When has a Nintendo game ever dropped that much without hitting players choice? Breath of the Wild is still 60 bucks. The cost of the game is like the frame rate, it will drop from 60 to 30 soon enough.
GL with dungeon 7 you are going to need itThis game is so fucking good. I am in dungeon 6 now, and I am ready to declare this not just the best remake ever, but also the best 2D Zelda and one of the Top 3 Zeldas along with OoT and BotW.

what an absolute masterpiece.
The 7th dungeon was a royal pain in the ass. Just wanted to drop this here. Had to resort to walkthrough because I simply lost the patience.

I bet Botw is still gonna be $60 even after Switch 2 come out, or Botw2It's been well over two years and they won't even do a GOTY edition with the DLC for $60.
Eagle's Tower was always a bit of a pain with the switches and positioning the wrecking ball to the correct spaces to knock down the pillars. It just requires trial and error, but you have to do some backtracking to get caught up.The 7th dungeon was a royal pain in the ass. Just wanted to drop this here. Aside from that the game is great but it doesn’t blow me away like AlbW did. Guess it’s due to it being only a Remake and all. It’s a shame about the framerate but the art style is one of the cutest I have ever seen. Playing this game at night in HH mode and it’s just a marvel to look at. Can’t get enough of it.
Where do you even get all the statues in the game? I only got the first one of Yoshi from the shop.
Could not care less. The 1 minute joy I get doesn't make up for the endless backtracking and searching. I have no regrets. Not only did you cheated the game
You cheated yourself
I crushed the first 3 pillars on my own and caved on the forth for the most stupid reason… I forgot that I can grapple across the pit with the rope.Eagle's Tower was always a bit of a pain with the switches and positioning the wrecking ball to the correct spaces to knock down the pillars. Really? I only had Yoshi in the crane minigame. There was no other status on any of my later visists to the shop. Do I have to clear the available items first to make them appear? You get the statues from the crane minigame. They are just little replicas of mario enemies that you can place around Mabe village. You don't really get anything major for collecting all of them except you get a chamber dungeon piece and the crane shop owner says you only have to pay 5 rupees instead of 10 for the game from now on.

Money is pretty easy to acquire in this game, especially later on when other parts of the map are unlocked. I guess you could grind to earn enough to get them early but it's not really worth it as it's not a progression item you could use to unlock new areas early.Hey, I just fired up the game and was questing around the first village. The Bow & Arrow Set is 980 rupees. I can grind the mini game for it, but is it worth it?

If you really wanted it early, you could always just steal it.

Those playing hero mode, how many times have you died so far? >.>
Kinda but no. Some items are bound to set buttons now so you don’t need to keep swapping so much.So pure note for note remake of DX?
Not worth it if you want something new from it outside of art?
In the hero mode, hearts aren't dropped by enemies or found in bushes and stuff. You have to rely on the fairy fountains or buying the hearts outright in the shop, beating a dungeon (which automatically refills your hearts), or finding 4 heart containers (which also automatically refills your hearts).Sounds like the updated the quality of life stuff and improved / updated things so the basics would at least feel fresh. I hear there's a hero mode too. Guessing that's simply tougher enemies.
