As a result, the feeling of progression and the way the puzzles and the overworld are designed are really impacted in a negative way imo. But I really love all the physics systems and powers and the "find your solution" style, it's just sad that the progression around those systems is not well designed.
Maybe play the game first, maybe there will be a progression. We did see a battery icon when Link uses Ultrahand, there's a limit that you may need to progress to increase. etc.

First real trailer I watch of the game and it looks incredible. I don't even really play video games anymore, but Nintendo keeps giving me reasons to have to.

Previous trailers have drained my hype. This, however, has heightened it!

Except for this vehicle and fusion stuff, ugh. Seems like a tacky system 🤷‍♂️

I think the issue is that they weren't high-tech enough for 2017.

Personally, art style and atmosphere trump specs.
I personally couldn't give rat ass about if the graphic are high tech or not, in 2017 I played both Horizon and BotW and honestly hated Horizon but I fucking loved BotW, having high tech graphic doesn't mean anything to me.

Agreed. I'm playing The Wind Waker for the first time right now on my Wii U and it looks incredible to me.

Texture showcase timestamp. This will cheer up those sad 8 gb vram owners, like me. Jokes aside, trailer is nice, it looks like a better game than the first one. I wish we could play it on PC, officially. It may motivate me to buy a Switch 2. I'm not playing that 30 fps, low resolution, inferior version.

What other versions are there for this to become an inferior version?

To be fair, that game has one of the best art styles in history. It's still gonna look good 20 years from now.

It's over 20 years old, and even the old Gamecube version still has a good look to it. The HD version makes it virtually timeless.

Every time I see Zelda trailers I just wonder how they would look running on a PS5...and remember when Nintendo released top power consoles

It would certainly look amazing.

On the downside however, the game would be a cinematic escort mission where you deliver a moody teenaged Zelda to a gender clinic during a zombie outbreak.

Cannot wait. Looks glorious.

So, do we think those were underground dungeons? I did spot a shrine.
I don't think they showed "dungeons" per se, I think there might be a recontextualization of what a dungeon means like for ex turning the entire underground region under death mountain into a "dungeon" aka a enclosed place you have to clear in order to purify the region above.

Then again it also seems there are obvious time travel shenanigans with a pristine Hyrule castle being shown so that might be what dungeons are, like in Twilight Princess with the Temple of Time you go back in time at certain locations and instead of exploring ruins like with the Forbidden Temple there's an actual dungeon here.

Just watched it again on my TV, what an amazing way to end the switch life. With the perfect start to the perfect end....I dare say it could be the best Nintendo hardware ever released.

Just incredible trailer. Literally, easy goty right year. Swimming in 10s I can feel it.

I had pretty much no interest in this, despite loving Zelda games prior to BoTW. But gotta give credit where credit is due. That looked pretty damn good!

I just want good dungeons this time. Trailer is good but, can't help but wonder what's the next « forest » place in this game that will tank performances to N64 levels. Unless they use an upscaler like xenoblade 3 this time?

Forget it, no Dungeons for sure. Would be too good to be true.

This looked like D L FUCKING C
Played the first game for over 400 hours.
Nothing in this trailer really pulled me back in.

Like how the hell do you sell more Botw hands down the most innovative open world game with this trailer? 🤣

Sky shit? Really? The more creative crafting stuff sounds cool. But water zora world? Real dungeons? Srsly.

MEH.

My biggest question is whether it's still compatible with Labo VR.

Even with a "real" VR setup at my house, I still enjoyed being able to put on the cardboard any time in BOTW just to enjoy the sense of scale.

Looks good, or as good as it gets on the hardware. As always I'm going to play with the Japanese dub to get some much needed "Cultural distance". The English in the trailer made my toes curl and gave me what kids today call "cringe".

The depiction of Ganon? Is that a new avatar or a previous incarnation returning to Hyrule. He kinda looked like Twilight Princess's Ganondorf and the voice over says "... you witness a King's revival, and the birth of his new world". I'm guessing that's from the intro where Ganon robs Link of his powers to resurrect. A good narrative device to explain why the player needs to start over with three hearts again.
I couldn't stand Zelda's English voice in BOTW. Japanese dub all the way...
