The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom Final Trailer is Here

Let's assume that all these big games are going to deliver on being great. 2023 will go down in history as one of the greatest years in gaming ever. No matter what wins GotY, we'd be eating good. Like 5 Star Steakhouse good.

Don't jinx it as Starfield could slip.

Came in to the thread expecting to be "meh"-d by the trailer and make some apathetic shitpost about "BotW version 1.5", but holy shit that trailer.....

Just goes to show you though, the crafting open ended gameplay is fine for people that like that sort of thing, but I wasn't IN until I saw story bits, dungeons, bosses, etc.

God dammit Nintendo, bravo, that's what I call a trailer.

Any chance I can buy the copy and play it through an emulator on Series S.
Switch emulators aren't available for xbox consoles as far as I'm aware, I'm afraid you'll need a PC.

----

Also wow that Jaysus meltdown, it really was not that deep :messenger_tears_of_joy: Trailer looks good! I will probably skip it on launch and get to it in a few months, too many games atm.

Looks like dungeons are back on the menu. This may surpass BOTW for me and if it does...hooo boy.

Also the fact that Ganondorf is a Samurai makes it already on my game of the year listing. But, it's Zelda...it was always going to be on there.

I feel like I'm still in 2008 with these graphics lol but looks cool regardless.
It might be stuck in 2008 with its graphics (but not really, as the vistas look completely insane), but the gameplay variety is 10 years ahead of anything in gaming.

The open-world possibilities on display here are not comparable to anything. This looks like a Super Mario Galaxy 2 situation, where they took the original and built a pure-breed 3D platformer that no 3D platformer has even come close to yet.

Frankly, what they showed in this trailer runs circles around anything I have ever seen in an open-world game in terms of what you can do.

I have never played Zelda, but I did play immortals which apparently is somewhat like Zelda. Didn't really care too much about the game, so I am not sure what makes Zelda special at least based on that trailer
Well, Immortals isn't really in the same league.

As someone who isn't interested in playing this game. This trailer was beautifully crafted and made even me want to dive in it. I know everyone is in for a treat. That trailer was amazing.

VERY GOOD Trailer and great preview of exciting things to come. It's my most anticipated games of all time and I can't believe we are almost already here. It's been a long trip.

Unparalleled sense of freedom in these games, I can't wait to freely explore that sky and screw around with weird crafting contraptions. It looks massive even if it shares the same lower world.

yes, we are about to have the greatest year in gaming history!!!!

A new Zelda, and i'm not excited? Never really got into BotW. Oh well, maybe i will be surprised.

Great trailer, but probably should've opened up with that one. Then you can do your deep-dive into the Nuts & Bolts mechanics.

The other two trailers had me like "Ehh Zelda ima get it day one, it looks cool"

But this trailer here had me like this is motherf$()@#()@#(@) zelda :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Okay im officially overhyped, it looks absolutely amazing. They bout to steal game of the year again

IMO I'll add this...feels like this would be the perfect Send off for the Nintendo Switch and we open next year with a new console...I dont think it'll happen and im not crazy enough to think Nintendo cares...but this would be perfect

You should spend less time worried about how other people feel about video game graphics. Clearly we see differently on this subject.
My problem comes when trailer showing gameplay but all people want to whine about is graphics and killing any discussion, as if graphics is the only thing matters here. If you are someone obsesses with graphics then you shouldn't be playing Switch games

Decent trailer! I like the look of some of the over world changes. I'm not convinced that there will be dungeons like the pre-BOTW games though.

I don't even like the route Zelda games had after BOTW, but I must confess this trailer is very good.

And people calling this a DLC, I prefer 1000x games like this so called 'DLC' than what western devs are doing in gaming any day, any time.

What are you guys favorite parts of the trailer? For me it's probably the short scene where Link falls down a gigantic shaft with all the Resident Evil 4 style lasers. The first time I saw the patent for aerial combat I immediately remembered the Ridley fight in Metroid Prime 3 where Samus fights him while they're both freefalling deep down the planet's core and thought it'd be great if TotK had something like that. Close enough, but the most exciting thing to me is how deep the underground seems to go.

Rocket arm.

Companion fights seem exciting.
