The Mario, Tetris, and D&D movies will all have come out next week - will you be watching any of them?

I know very little about D&D and my wife even less.

The movie was fun and no woke ba.

That's not true. It was clickbait. Sites like CBR need to be shut down.
Yeah the lead was great. An actual leader. He is the bard and had a great redemption arc.

I'm going to watch the Tetris movie, I hope they're fairly accurate to the real story, it's pretty interesting.

I'll take the kids to see Mario, it looks okay.

No interest in D&D, looks like shit

Tetris was decent! It's probably my favourite game ever, Ive played an iteration of it on every console I've ever owned but Ive never known the backstory, quite dramatic!

Mario I'll take the nephews/nieces to

D&D I have zero interest in, looks like the Jumanji remake with Jack Black. Maybe when it hits streaming

I'll take my kids to see Mario next week. I started Tetris last night but I turned it off around 40 mins in as I'm an old man and I was too tired. I'll finish it tonight hopefully. But even going by the first 40 mins I've found that the gaming historians doco was much better.

All three to be honest, Mario for me and the kids so wife gets a break, DnD will be a family cinema day out as she's a fantasy nerd and Tetris will be a Friday nite movie for us when the kids goto bed

I am going to hit the trifecta. I have seen 2 and I have a theater rented for super Mario.

The movie is great. So as usual do the opposite of GAF and go see this.
Yeah, preconceptions can be a stupid bitch, and Chris Pine is a star.

Heard nothing about a D&D movie, went to Box Office Mojo saw that not only has it unseated JW4, but is at a fucking "Certified Fresh" on RT. The ONLY thing I can think is that this is the rare instance (like I'm hoping with the Mario Brothers movie) where creatives know the source material, know the audience, knows what appeals to a wider audience and manages to somehow balance all three (or actually puts in the effort to do so).

. . .like I saw Michelle Rodriguez was in this and was like "How good could this possibly be?" Will definitely check it out next week during a long lunch break.

About to watch tetris in bed and can't wait for mario next week with the family.

D and D looks like a good watch when it comes to streaming but deffo looks like marvel meets fantasy.

Big fan of Forgotten Realms, and apparently, the movie is in this version. So definitely will be seeing D&D.

Mario looks awesome. Being able to share that experience with my little ones will be more than worth the cost of admission.

Watched the Tetris movie and it was a blast. Really good film.

I'd like to see Tetris but not enough to subscribe to Apple TV+.

Apple TV+ has a lot of high quality content. It doesn't have as much as Netflix since the focus is quality over quantity. But everything in there is quite good.

Quite possibly one of the biggest belly laughs I've had in a theater since There's Something About Mary is nestled in this film. I'm laughing about it while typing right now.

Apple TV+ is what HBO was in the Sopranos/Wire era.

The Tetris movie was great! I think there might not have been quite so many car chases and guns in reality, but it's still the best story in videogame history.

Still not for me, even if it was considered the greatest film of all time. I'd rather get a hand job from my grandmother than watch a D&D film.

It doesn't seem like my usual jam either, but it's still just a movie. This isn't really high stakes shit. I felt like I was gonna be in for two hours of a stupid cat movie when I took my niece to Puss in Boots 2 but it ended up being astonishingly good. If it wasn't? I would have seen a stupid cat movie, which is still better than a hand job from grandma.

D&D looks like stupid fun. I will probably go for it.

If I get with my coworker to agree on a date and she ask to bring her kid, i will suggest we go watch the Mario movie. Go watching kids movie without kids can feel to creepy.

Prob will watch Mario just out of curiosity of how they can sustain a 2 hour movie about a guy jumping on mushrooms and blocks.

No interest in Tetris, but yes to Mario. D&D I'm intrigued because of both the critical and audience scores. If I don't end up watching in theaters, I'll check it out when it hits digital.

I took my 10 year old to see it on IMAX, and I would've paid double in hindsight! Not very many movies like this any more.

D&D - nope. Tetris - maybe if I'll find some time. I'm not a fan of the casting for the lead role, but I know the story itself may be an interesting one.

I'm a big fan of D&D so definitely have to check the new movie out at some point, especially with it getting good reviews/word of mouth+being made by the same main people behind the movie Game Night which was great fun.

Mario movie looks fun especially Jack Black's Bowser, so will see that too but lower priority than D&D.

Tetris movie sounds good, something to watch solo whereas the other two will be with friends. It being on Apple TV+ is annoying, but I can probably manage to get a free trial to watch it like I did with Wolfwalkers movie that was also Apple+ exclusive.

Mario movie with kids. And the Tetris film looks interesting to see what happened to get the game on the game boy etc.
D&D just looks terrible tbh

D&D missed the boat on doing a Harryhausan, 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Clash of the Titans style movie back in the 80s. Now that would have been cool.

Funny thing about the tetris movie if you watched it the Maxwell's are the rivals for the licensing agreement. Kevin's little sister is a relatively unknown socialite called Ghislaine Maxwell.

Small world, eh?

Saw and liked Tetris: 3.5/5

Plan on seeing Mario in theaters for sure as it looks super fun.

Didn't plan on seeing D&D but reviews from critics and people seem to be quite good. So I'm thinking about seeing that this week.

Just got back from D&D - very good movie. Go see it GAF.
This man speaks truths.

If you have even a passing knowledge of D&D you should be very impressed by what they made.

As someone who has played D&D...the movie nailed SO many things that other D&D movies just don't even bother with. It feels like this was 35% an actual D&D campaign the writer/director/someone on the shoot actually had.

And as a movie buff that only has a passing knowledge of D&D, it's just a great movie with lots of laughs.

Dungeons & Dragons was better than it had any right being. If you're even remotely interested, check it out - it's well worth the ticket price.

Tetris looks really good, and at least it'll be an interesting yarn. The Mario movie, I'll probably wait for the word of mouth on - looks decent from the trailers, but I'm not falling over myself to watch it.

Have seen all 3 now. I enjoyed Dungeons the most.

All three were fun, but Mario had the most issues for me. Tetris was surprisingly captivating. Dungeons was the most fun to watch and really makes me wish BG3 comes out sooner

I have now seen all three. I really enjoyed all of them. They all had fun aspects about them. You should watch all three and enjoy the feast.
