Have they put the DLC on Origin yet?
What? It has been on Origin since they were released.
Unless you meant on sale? Or not with Bioware points? Then, i guess no.

I'm not expecting one. You must be thinking of JohnnyFootball. I'm the one who kept saying EA doesn't so remasters, so we don't have much reason to expect it.
The thing I'd love to hear from people is what you'd like to have in such an experience. For me (personal opinion, and based on what people have told me many times before):
- 1080p
- 60 fps
- High res textures, especially on ME1
- Some shader improvements commensurate with newer GPUs
- All the DLC
- "Seamless experience" - the adventures flow into each other without having to go back to save import, menu screens, etc.
Agree / disagree? What else?
Bear in mind this is a "wish list" at this point...
I remember that post and think you should read the whole thing and look at the timeline of his comments at this point.Has everyone forgotten this post?
Every time this thread is bumped and there still is no remaster announced I die a little inside. Don't know why I keep expecting it at this point.
Because it has been discussed by a Bioware developer? Fucking hell guys just wait.

I have a question - I know time is relative, and we're taught that looking at the night sky, some of those stars aren't the same from the way we're looking at it.
However, throughout the ME trilogy, the "year" all around the galaxy is ~2180, yeah? How is this possible? I suppose Me1 did the explanation for with the FTL travel and such, but now that I think about it, I've never understood how this has been firmly established.
I think he's trying to ask why is the date and time in different planets the same as ours on Earth. Shouldn't Ilium for example be another year and date altogether or just have a different way to evaluate time.
Wait for E3.
So, you're thinking relativity and light speed travel, and time dilation, correct? Mass effect fields trump time dilation for...reasons, and communication uses the same reasons to allow faster than light communication. It's vague, beyond the entire ezero+electricity=zero mass. No explanation for FTL without the mass relays, or with the mass relays for that matter.
Obviously Einstein got it wrong lolI have a question - I know time is relative, and we're taught that looking at the night sky, some of those stars aren't the same from the way we're looking at it.

That means 100% nothing. He just wanted to get people's hopes up, but the facts remain.
EA doesn't do remasters. It's 100% fact. They never have and they never will. They can NEVER change their business policies. Companies like EA NEVER change with the times and cannot do something new. That's not how business works. PANTHEON has spoken. He knows.
Again, EA has never done remasters and they clearly NEVER will. Aaryn showing up was just a smokescreen. Bioware needed to get one last troll attempt in since people had finally let the ending go.
Give me true space exploration with planets and missions off the main path that make you feel small and isolated in a huge universe.
Let me explore those planets and reward me for that exploration
Give me combat that is both exciting and tactical.
Let me work out a combat strategy that lets me get through an encounter, keeping me on the edge of my seat, but also making me feel powerful.
Give me characters I care about, even if they are flawed.
Let me explore those characters with fully fleshed out side missions
Give me items and weapons and attachments that really let me customize my experience
Let me choose what combination I want to use and not give me one clear cut "best" item in each area
Give me the next Mass Effect game
Communication is based on quantum entanglement, which is a real concept. Although we're not certain it could be used the same way Mass Effect does it.
As for time, it's ~2180 in the human sense, but that's just the way that humanity measures time. Do we have any indication what the current calendar or whatever is for other species?
I suppose they talk about things being X years back or whatever, but I have to assume that it's just a shorthand for the player to easily understand.
As for the question about the stars being different, that's just because it takes so long for the light from the stars to reach us. So, yes, the stars we're seeing on Earth is the light that left the star thousands of years ago. But that doesn't really affect anything in the game, because most of those stars are still there, or will just be vaguely different.
If it could return to the writing quality of ME1 i'd be in.
In terms of the main plot, absolutely. In terms of virtually everything else, nah, ME2/ME3 please.
All I am saying that EA doesn't do remasters. They never have. Why would they start now? It doesn't work that way. If they have never done something before it means they can NEVER do it.So much rage coming from that post. You need to relax a bit. And Aaryn's post never felt like a troll attempt, like he said "just a wish list" if it was to happen.

sarcasm
I'd say more in terms of tone.

pretty much, yeah. you said it better than I did. I remember during the shadow broker dlc where there was a paragon interrupt and shepard trying to talk reason to liara, justifying time to talk by saying "the jump we're gonna take will be at least a few light years away, so we have time to talk" or something like that. so i've been thinking about that and like.. that doesn't really matter considering the relays.I think he's trying to ask why is the date and time in different planets the same as ours on Earth. Shouldn't Ilium for example be another year and date altogether or just have a different way to evaluate time.
hm. well even if it doesn't make sense in the real world, it's something that still works for the purpose of the story/setting I guess. the elements of the lore didn't stretch to complete nonsense imo till Me3.So, you're thinking relativity and light speed travel, and time dilation, correct? Mass effect fields trump time dilation for...reasons, and communication uses the same reasons to allow faster than light communication. It's vague, beyond the entire ezero+electricity=zero mass. is it really unexplained, or can we infer that once humans discovered the diverse galactic civilizations that they helped normalize and make it uniform as a galactic society?Oh.
Well since instantaneous communication across interstellar distances is possible and does not appear to cause time paradoxes in the ME universe we can infer that special and general relativity are tossed into a trash can somewhere. Simultaneity is possible at a distance in this world for some unexplained reason and therefore everyone can keep steady clocks regardless of where they go or how quickly they get there. People are measuring years against Earth time in the Alliance because it's the capital and most populous world. When foreign terminals are talking to you in English they translate the dates into alliance dates for convenience.
But in the ME-verse, I'm guessing even though the stars in the night sky may different at the normal speed, but thanks to the ftl mass relays, simultaneity throughout the galaxy is achieved. yes?Communication is based on quantum entanglement, which is a real concept. Although we're not certain it could be used the same way Mass Effect does it.

I guess so. dead dude gets way too much credObviously Einstein got it wrong lol
IM=illusive man?Well, QE is used for the Normandy's communication link to IM. Otherwise, FTL communication is handled via the mass relays, just like ship transportation is. That's why QE is termed secure since it does not have to go through those channels.
agreed. TIM was good as the enigmatic, questionable character opposing shepard in Me2 but I hated how he was the main villain of Me3.Need someone like him to be in ME IV; Illusive Man felt too exposed in the end.
for real? They should have added the Illusive Man as a love interest for FemShep. It would make things a lot more interesting.
it's been so long since mass effect anything

for the record, if you're serious... he looks way too old for her.
For real. Shepard is 32 and the Illusive Man is probably on his later 40s (Mass Effect: Evolution spoilers)They are both adults, I see no problem here.He was a young merc during the First Contact War, if we give him 20 years old back then he will be 48 in ME3).

I get that they're both adults but I always feel like these sort of age gaps are.. just a bit iffy for couples. For real. yes it is serious, johnny. Is your spoilered response serious? I can never tell with you.
You'll have the extended ending so the issues won't be prominent much as with pre-patch.I should probably finish Mass Effect 3. I still have no idea what this horrible ending everyone is talking about is exactly.

You don't know me.You're weird.
Don't forget that the asari are several hundred years old and date much younger.

90% is a little aggressive imo but 60%+ sure. Still not a huge fan, but it's almost certain there would have been no enormous shit storm if EC/Leviathan had been in the base game.If you play Leviathan+Citadel in your playthrough with EC (Extended Cut): 90% of the ending problems are negated IMO.
Totally ending feels vs. Vanilla confusing feels.
