Looking forward to the new adventures of Trans-Shepard.
There's hope for ME:5I'm still incredibly salty about Mass Effect
I want my AAA Big Budget Sci Fi Space Opera Western RPG With Fanservice
And I know Current Year Bioware isn't going to give me that
I tried the original Mass Effect back when I had 360 and I just couldn't get in to both the combat and UI.
I just cant get in to BioWare games or even most WRPGs for that matter.
There's hope for ME:5
I tired but the combat was not fun for me and UI was god damn mess but even back then characters models looked so damn ugly. When it comes to WRPGs I'm extremely picky. There's only been a few WRPGs that I loved which one of them being the OG Mass Effect Trilogy
There's hope for ME:5
Fair enough, that's true.Nothing about the writers who are the ones who’ll ruin the game.
The sad thing is if EA/Bioware releases an amazing, bad ass trailer like this one from ME3, everyone will cry about how it's woke DEI garbage pushing agendas in their video games. So we really can't have nice things anymore. Two I wonder if they will be forced to put certain messaging in the next Mass Effect game. I wonder how all the female characters will look in comparison to the first three games
Literally nobody cares about these games. That's less than I was expecting after 4 games. Maybe the series wasn't as popular as I imagined.
I only play them/themShepLooking forward to the new adventures of Trans-Shepard.

It's also before Andromeda which sold incredibly well. So yeah, probably closer to 30.....by 2018. These are old sales numbers from before the ME Remastered trilogy was even released, and that one sits at around 2 million on Steam alone. I wouldn't be too surprised if they were at 30 million something by now.
Not even talking about gameplay.I disagree there. Yes you can play as a female MC but most of the time you can make her the prefered body type and have her have the facial features you prefer. Not only that but female Shepard was well written and actually felt like a badass. Even though there are characters like that Punk Rocker Chick that are part of your crew, you are given the choice to be able to get rid of her later on.
Nowadays these writers will force you to stick with certain characters that have that certain messaging just out of spite. And yes I hated that character in ME2 and was glad I could get rid of her if I wanted to
And not only that I'm pretty sure the current writers are gonna to make sure if you go with a female MC that she's fugly and written like an insufferable bitch

I know you don't really play any WRPGs, but I'd recommend grabbing the ME Legendary Edition on a sale on PSN and give it another shot. The writing and characters are some of the best in the RPG genre.I tried the original Mass Effect back when I had 360 and I just couldn't get in to both the combat and UI.

The OG 360 release of Mass Effect was one of the first UE3 games so maybe that's why you thought that the character models looked "ugly"? ME2 and ME3 improved on that and also fixed the UI and combat clunkiness you've mentioned in your first post.I tired but the combat was not fun for me and UI was god damn mess but even back then characters models looked so damn ugly.
The original game is for sure rough to go back to. I'm playing ME2 in the Legendary edition right now, and yeah...It hasn't aged that gracefully, but it's still a solid RPG/Shooter. Especially after they took the RPG out of the shooting part lol.Same
I actually like the second game better and like the 4th game better, but holy shit people exaggerate that series.
That story is not that good and I'm just there for the concept in general lol
You look at games like Hunting Grounds and Silent Hill 3 on PS2 or even RE4 on GC had better looking character models than Mass effect which was on 360.I know you don't really play any WRPGs, but I'd recommend grabbing the ME Legendary Edition on a sale on PSN and give it another shot. I know I probably won’t change your opinion on that, so we’ll have to agree to disagree that the character models were 'so damn ugly.'You look at games like Hunting Grounds and Silent Hill 3 on PS2 or even RE4 on GC had better looking character models than Mass effect which was on 360.
People told me same thing about Witcher 3 and other WRPGs but accepted the fact WRPGs are just not for me.Anyway, the game still has some of the best storytelling and characters in any RPG, so I’d def still recommend giving the trilogy a shot if you ever feel like trying a good WRPG. If not, that's cool still, but you'll be missing out.
Arguably one of, if not *the*, best gaming trilogy of all time.

Yeah, I get that. I even mentioned in the first reply that I know you might not be into WRPGs, but if there’s ever been a WRPG that could break the ice, this one could be it.People told me same thing about Witcher 3 and other WRPGs but accepted the fact WRPGs are just not for me.

Anyway, I won’t bore you with this any longer, although I’m a bit surprised you’re even in this thread if you have such a strong dislike for the first Mass Effect and are apathetic toward WRPGs in general.
Maybe you secretly still have the itch to give this trilogy a shot.
It's also a tetralogy.
ME1 would be a big hurdle to clear as the controls were rough when it launched so I can't imagine playing today. And if you are going to go back in time, give Shadows of Amn a whirl. No idea how those console ports are.

I used to replay the trilogy every year up to Witcher 3 release. Just the absolute best, pinacle of gaming.
Hence I specifically cited the trilogy, bite my shiny metal balls.
