I've seen Baroness 3 times now, including right before Yellow and Green came out. They have blown me away everytime. One my favorite live bands.

They need to get microsoft sam to do the vocals.
Yes. I preferred the later stuff known as Axis of Advance with J. Read destroying on the drums. All that stuff is pretty intense, Revenge/Conqueror/Axis of Advance/Sacramentary Abolishment etc.
I prefer the dirtier sound of Sacramentarty Abolishment but both bands are killer.

very early stages, very raw, very short, mostly trying stuff out.

any feedback is welcome.

Haha, this is awesome! First few seconds bought a huge grin across my face. I like it, though I understand it's still got a ways to go. Good luck finishing it.

Anyone listen to Anacrusis? You can get their albums free from their official site. Really dig their last two. Excellent thrash / prog.

Oh, and here's my LastFM profile if anyone wants to add me: http://www.last.fm/user/GON4PP

Going to see Corrections House tomorrow night in DC. From what I am hearing, it should be interesting. Each of the members come on stage one at a time to do some of their solo work with each additional member in some way adding to the last. Once they are all done with their solo stuff, they play a few songs as a group.

that's pretty cool, man, sounds like something Sleep would do. i posted my own doom project a couple pages back, check it out if you want to.
I checked you stuff, very nice songs man!
Nice that you mentioned Sleep, because I'm playing almost in the same tuning as they do (They play in C Tuning, I did in Drop A#)

How do you record your stuff? I have some song ideas I want to get down but no really good way to record it. I need something with a good drum machine too.

My amp has a USB out but it sounds like crap for the most part. I think I just need to buy a mic and one of those mic -> usb portable studio things.

If your amp is decent and you got recording software, just buy an sm 57. A versatile workhorse mic. You can probably find them for a really good price on the internets

My amp is ok. It's just a practice amp. A Fender Mustang 3 to be exact.

I probably have enough riffs rolling around for a song or 2. I just need to stop being lazy and record. Even if its just the riffs for documentation purposed.

Audrey Horne '(with members of Enslaved and Sahg) has released the first single from their upcoming album Youngblood. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FRHn5tRzl8

They're not exactly metal, more of a 70s hard/classic rock in the vein of Thin Lizzy, UFO etc. The album has received amazing reviews and is album of the month in Metal Hammer Germany, Metal Hammer Norway, Rock Hard Germany and Rock Hard France

Pic from the Black Death Nostalgia page. Death "Spiritual Healing" era practice space. I believe other bands Nocturnus and Morbid Angel practiced in the same lot. Look at them shorts.
