I think I can make out a D at the end.....other than that I can't tell.

Metal Sucks used to run this contest with unreadable band logos. I swear with most of them you just had to know the band because you really couldn't read them. I don't know if they still do it or not.

They do, but you can just reverse image search on Google to get the answer.

Was that an actual suicide in the video?

I choose to believe it's not, and won't do any research to find out. Easier that way.

(Also I hadn't actually watched the video until now, since I just assumed it'd be the standard "band logo" type of preview video. I just tabbed over once the song started. That'll teach me, I guess.)

"Pound For Pound: The Wolverine Blues Sessions" Digital EP from Converge features our rendition of "Wolverine Blues" originally written and performed by Entombed, presented as five different tracks.

Each vocalist recorded a full version of the song which we used to compile into the final version included on the Converge and Napalm Death Split 7"EP. This Digital EP is the complete mixes of each guest vocalist who contributed to the final track, presented as five unique versions of the song.

If you like what you here, please support all of the artists by purchasing our music and apparel.

1. Wolverine Blues w/ Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom, etc)
2. Wolverine Blues w/ Jacob Bannon (Converge, Wear Your Wounds)
3. Wolverine Blues w/ Kevin Baker (APMD, The Hope Conspiracy, etc)
4. Wolverine Blues w/ Nate Newton (Converge, Doomriders, Old Man Gloom, etc)
5. Wolverine Blues w / Tompa (Disfear, At The Gates, etc) and Kurt (Converge, etc)
credits

You see, guys? Wolverine Blues is Entombed's best :p

Crazy stacked. What I'm interested in that you're missing:

June 21:
Extol - Extol

June 25:
August Burns Red - Rescue & Restore
Mouth Of The Architect - Dawning

Yeah, Amazon's specific weekly stuff runs out June 11th so June 18th and on is bunched together and in no order by release date.

I wonder why we haven't heard much about the High on Fire live album. I think they announced it as a special release, and amazon has a cover and track list but that is it.

1. Serums of Liao
2. Frost Hammer
3. 10,000 Years
4. Devolution
5. Last
6. Fertile Green
7. Speedwolf

Charles Bronson wouldn't approve metalcore and melodic death metal.

like our esteemed colleague Giant Robot correctly pointed out, Left Hand Path + Clandestine = best Swedish DM. I'm not sure why we got sidetracked by Wolverine Blues cover discussion.

If anything we should commend FACE for showing amazing restraint with the guy who said Bonded by Blood sucked.

None of this discussion would have happened if Wolverine Blues was never released :p

The Bonded By Blood rage in this thread made me listen to the first three Exodus albums today and it was a good day.

The month of June has a lot of big metal releases, what are you looking forward to?

This whole year has been crazy for metal. this is my list so far:

The Living Infinite - Soilwork
Circle - Amorphis
Spiritual Migration - Persefone
One of Use is the Killer - The Dillinger Escape Plan
Heart of Oak - Anciients
Infestissumam - Ghost
Beyond - Omnium Gatherum
Disarm the Descent - Killswitch Engage
Vertikal - Cult of Luna
Bloodsvept - Finntroll
Target Earth - Voivod

Any recommendations of things I've missed?

Upcoming albums I'm looking forward to (or heard through streams and love already, like Tesseract):

Altered State - TesseracT - May 27
Construct - Dark Tranquillity - May 27
Coal - Leprous - May 28
Wisdom of Crowds - Bruce Soord with Jonas Renkse - June 3 (sort of metal, maybe... it is Katatonia's singer)
Old Mornings Dawn - Summoning - June 7
13 - Black Sabbath - June 11
Halo of Blood - Children of Bodom - June 11
Everblack - The Black Dahlia Murder - June 11
Migration - Scale The Summit - June 11
Deceiver Of The Gods - Amon Amarth June 25
All is One - Orphaned Land - June 27

And this year will also have new Cynic, possibly Dream Theater, and Ayreon, all of which are varying levels of metal and interest for me.

So I'm trying to get into Megadeth. I need some recommendations to make a perfect playlist.

Note: Mustaine's voice is really on/off for me. I hate songs like "Sweating Bullets" and its "Hello me..." part. So anything without the 'weird' Mustaine vocals is my bag. My fave songs are Peace Sells and Hanger 18. What other songs should i be giving plays to?
