hoooooly hell, this is absolutely incredible.

I've listened to just about everything posted in the past few pages, and this is BY FAR my favorite. Maybe it's because I'm still relatively new to black metal (been into it for just over a year now), but this is unlike anything within the genre I've ever heard.

Incredible. Thanks so much for sharing brother! \m/

Definitely check out their previous record. It crazy weird. There's a black metal dub song.

So, Aurora Borealis has a new album coming out soon called Worldshapers. Here's a song, have a listen.

Finally someone else who appreciates Aurora Borealis. Sounds like where they left off.

BTW, all their stuff is available to download for free, donations accepted by them: http://www.auroraborealis.org/html/downloads.html

EDIT: Just read its an offshoot from their last album "Timeline", makes sense now.

PAGAN'S MIND! one of the best power/prog acts around. they haven't released anything since 2011 but they're still active, so hopefully we'll get a new album soon. 1st album (as you can hear by the samples below) was a fairly straight Fates Warning-like sound, the others evolved their sound and by God's Equation they have their own thing going.

Another idea for drinking game - have a shot every time you hear 'hammer' or 'heathen' in this song

Try putting on Dark Funeral's Secret of the Black Arts and taking a drink every time he says "Satan" and chugging the duration of every scream.

If you make it through the whole album without blacking out it'll be a miracle.

(Yes, I've tried this before.)

I know some don't consider them metal, but I got the APMD Wolf banner for Xmas. Definitely one of my favorite pieces of artwork.

Good rec. I just got this album recently and love it. It feels a bit like the old school thrashier American death metal with some harder hitting production. (I don't want to say better production because I love old school death metal sound but the more modern production serves this record well.)

Why wouldn't All Pigs Must Die be metal? Good shit!

Plus, even if that was a Katie Perry poster, you'd still be forgiven for having a Sleep poster up. (ok, well, maybe not, but...)

Iced Earth's Plagues of Babylon is up on Spotify already.

The two previously released tracks don't do the album justice, its quite good. But its still Iced Earth so if you don't like them you probably won't like this.

Hearing Hansi from BG in songs like Resistance was damn cool. Unfortunately The Journeyman is missing though, which I was really looking forward to because of the Volbeat vocalist being on it.

Ohh,,,a new Aether Realm song (okay it came out last month), I sounds fantastic, especially on my new Sennheiser 558s.

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
I wonder if they are CAVE and/or shmup fans :p
Considering that the vocalist's former band (Discordance Axis) has songs famously named after Sega Bass Fishing and Ikaruga, I'd say it's very likely.

Sorry for the double post but wanted to share this album too.

Cult of Fire - मृत्यु का तापसी अनुध्यान

Getting around to this now and goddamn is it amazing. A late entry but I would probably have to redo my top 10 metal releases from this year to add this album. Atmospheric black metal at it's finest. The band also has Thomas Corn of Lykathea Aflame fame, who are one of my favorite death metal bands/albums of all time.

finally getting around to this today. It's fucking awesome and gonna buy this. Listened to their first album Triuvirate and it's just as fucking good.

Also discovered some new/old school dirty sounding thrash: Nekromantheon.
