Even though it's free to play, the most expensive game for me has probably been Fortnite. I don't even want to know how much money I've spent on it between all the season passes and DLC. :lollipop_downcast_sweat:
Same, but it is League of Legends. Definitely close to a $1000 over the past 10 years.

$79 for several SNES games when they were new. I remember it being a big deal with Final Fantasy 3 being expensive because of the memory size.

Modern games drop too quickly to pay full price. Unless it's something I really want to play day 1, I'll wait.

It really is. You get the occasional assheads in general rooms, but there are so many rooms that appeal to chill ppl and what not. Drinking rooms, adults, etc. Just a group of wholesome ass ppl who are down to travel, have a good time, and D2F

I jump into VRchat from time to time...not sure what you are talking bout. I liek it in theory ( even more if it was unreal and not shitty unity). However, all i ever run into is 14 year olds with 14 year old opinions and after 10 minutes my dreams of jacking in cyberpunk style fizzle away under the weight of little edgelord kids dressed as foxtail anime people...which is 90 percent of the people who use it.

Also all the girls are...teen girls which concerns me a bit about your previous comment.

In theory its there but its not really there yet.

Ya. Bigger cartridge size or battery back up. +$10 each.

I'm not sure what pedo rooms you join, but depending on time of day, locale, room type, etc, you can avoid all the b.s. kids. Meetups have always been ppl over 21, etc. I usually play with Australians and ppl in EU. Met and smashed some hot girls in Iceland, etc. Not everyone on vrchat is a kid. Kids don't have deep pockets to afford nice things. But think what you want dude.

was into collecting for the Sega Saturn and had Street Fighter Zero 3 and Blast Wind, paid like $250 each. Didn’t have them long before reselling them for more.

I wanna say FInal Fantasy 3 on snes (6 now..) was $72 at toys r us at release. I really don't know though. I have never payed more than retail price for a video game. I never needed to.. I've been buying these things on release date for a long long time.

Defensive much? No need to be an ass. Im not thinking what i want, i actively get on Vrchat usually to watch movies and thats my experience with it. If the top ten rooms that have the most people on it are Pedo chat rooms i guess ill have to report VRchat to some kind of authorities then. And if you are going to make a crass comment ....im sure i can make some comment about having to fly half way around the world..but i wont.

$250 is the most I've paid for one game. I've done that several times for those gigantic collector's edition that comes with a huge ass statue. In hindsight, I regret every one of those purchasing decisions. All that stuff just ends up becoming clutter.

Defensive? You literally are assuming some fucking weird shit about me and kids, why would I not be defensive about that? Maybe you should look back at how you approached me initially. I don't join the top rooms, which I kinda made obvious in that same post. Sorry dude, but you coming at me like that, can only warrant a fitting response.

I said defensive because i made a light ribbing joke...no one was accusing you of kiddy fiddling jesus dude.

I just opened VRchat and stepped into the highest populated group...this is the very first thing i was greeted with

Please tell me about all these secret over 30 chat rooms where you dont have to be bothered by kids because it would make vrchat actually enjoyable instead of a distraction

My initial response could have been sarcastic, but you wouldn't catch that would you? Sarcasm is hard to catch online, so being that we never interacted before.... Catch my drift?

So think about it like this. You meet cool ppl, you make private rooms, just for these cool ppl, which you know on and off VRchat, like in real life, discord, etc. I don't do public rooms, unless no one is online, and even then, I'm selective.

Yea but you have to be in a public room to meet people to make private chat rooms first, which ones are those? Unless you mean you are just hanging out with friends you already have from outside Vrchat in which case.../shrug....... i just use discord for that.

Vrchat wont really mean much until there is something thats tied open ended into other communication programs and you can just bounce into worlds...true mindjack style. ok enough getting off topic

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The most expensive game i ever bought was FF3/6 unless you count mmo expansions throughout the years the same as the initial title....then prob EQ1 or 2....sadly

It's not hard to mute the kiddies, and weed out the people you don't wanna interact with. The people who play vrchat know this, as it's something most people do. You can play with ppl you know and meet others as well, something which is obvious to most. I'm just not sure why you are harping on my post so much. I met cool ass ppl, we met up in real life, had fun. Nothing different from walking into a bar, etc. Hopefully I've answered whatever questions you are intrigued with in regards to my post 📯

If double dips count mine is Skyrim.

60 on launch day xbox
60 more a week later after giving copy to friend
45 on dlc
20 on PS3 ultimate edition when I was an OTR trucker, and randomly wanted to play Skyrim
60 on SE
40ish on creation club points

Roughly $285 on Skyrim over the past decade.

Back when Ocarina of Time released it was sold out everywhere but I found some dude selling it at a flea market. However it was the collector's edition and he wanted $140 for it. I managed to talk him down to $120. It was worth it.

Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition for 180 euro.
Tekken 2 was +-70 euro in 1997 and Pokemon Gold import at 70 euro in 2001.

$59.99 plus tax. The only time I buy special editions of games are when they cost the same as the regular versions. I also haven't bought any used or retro games lately, but even then I never went over $60 for a single game.

$7k for a metal slug 1 us aes.
Got out of the Neo scene back around 2010.
Sold everything for around $20k.
Did the math recently after seeing that recent Atlantic article and realized my old Neo collection would be worth somewhere around $75k rn.
I try not to think about it often.
Same here, but I did not play my Neo-Geo at all compared to my other systems... got a steady GF kids, it took too much room, so it had to go.

The Street Fighter 4 series godamnnit Cashcom

Let see

Street Fighter 4 (360)
Super Street Fighter 4 AE (PC)
Super Street Fighter 4 AE (PS4)
Super Street Fighter 4 AE DLC upgrade (360)
Ultra Street Fighter DLC upgrade (PC)

I can't remember if there are any more DLC upgrade in between. If only it's freaking cross platform to begin with

Bought Diablo 3 a total of 3 times. For PC on release, Playstation 3 on release, Playstation 4 on release. I guess that amounts to around 180€.

Back in 1997 I believe, I got Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! for $89.99 and I loved that game. Actually I loved all of the Donkey Kong games.
