Ah yes, I misunderstood his question. They'll most certainly power it up and let you inspect it before leaving. But IIRC, they use florescent lighting in the store, so it may be difficult to see the light leak anyway. Unless you have some creative way of creating a dark area inside the store. Or unless they're willing to go in the back and turn off a light. That's the part the worries me. It's not really visible when lights are on, so unless I find a way to re-create the conditions to which the light leak becomes apparent there in the store, it's possible I could take home a unit with more light leak than the one I'm potentially returning has.
