What's woke about this movie? A black fairy godmother?
Give me a fucking break. I wish they made Big Freedia the fairy godmother, just to see everyone shit themselves.
I'm really want forward to Strange world being a big flop in the cinema .
Because of the inclusions in the movie. Disney needs to stop at this. Why would you want Strange World to flop?
People are whinging and whining about Hollywood being out of ideas and here's a new movie that's original, and you want it to flop?
Get woke, make millions and brainwash an entire generation of youth that Twitter culture is real life. I mean go broke*

I want movies like the ones from the 40s to 60s, not the modern ones.
Have there been any of these live action remakes that haven't been soulless cash grab attempts?
Actually not male. Just hair so short it looks bald, so the character looks like a guy from a distance. Its as short as when I get sides of my head buzzed at the haircutters with a level 1 attachment.But...why black? Why male? Or whatever they identify as. Is it just because the former characters were white? Like, the whole idea that it's all but criminal, and an error that needs "revising," like a crazy George Lucas edit of one of his Star Wars films. And sure, Remakes and reimaginings don't need to be 100% in line with their progenitors, but guaranteed if a high profile IP released a remake of a film with a previously black character now white as the driven snow, there would be a (social) media Hell storm. Their game is rigged, and any move you make, you lose, unless you subscribe whole heartedly to being politically correct without pause to so much as think.
No, the silly character in a remake of a film that 90% of viewers weren't alive for the original isn't the flaming end of times for me, but it certainly CONTINUES a precedent that was set long ago in multimedia. I don't really care either way, but were I to have a deep investment emotionally in the topic, I'd likely err to the side I'm currently arguing for. Regardless, it's an interesting topic between those with enough restraint to discuss it without instantly breaking out in frothing at the mouth tribalism.
Starring Tom Hanks, and directed by Robert Zemeckis, it's getting atrocious reviews all over.
These live action adaptions never really do meet the same height as their animated counterparts do they?
The over use of the label woke is becoming just as bad as the overuse of the label Nazi…and in this case the overuse of Tom Hanks. When people label everything they don’t like as woke the term loses all its meaning. Granted there are some truly dumb as shit woke ideas (just look at Reset Era or calling fucking pedos minor attracted persons) but saying a black blue fairy is woke or that a normal lesbian couple showing affection is woke is just a poor reflection of one’s own biases.Okay I have to say something. It's just so FUCKING annoying.
People didn't give two shits when Whitney Houston was the fairy god mother decades ago. People may say they have a problem with so and so being black but it really isn't about race.
Until it gets removed for being a 'product of a different time'It's ok, the original film still exists for everyone to watch.
You mean 140 characters and online photos do not determine the value of one’s life?Get woke, make millions and brainwash an entire generation of youth that Twitter culture is real life. I mean go broke*

You hate people that aren't white being in movies?

...
Ah yeah, here's the typical retort to people disliking woke writing: "you must be racist then!!"
It's dishonest and you know it.
Maybe they all turn into female mules? How did they handle the boys turning into donkeys? It must be uncomfortable, since that is essentially the kind of lifestyle Disney wants to promote.
The irony is, in the original book she wasn’t even a fairy in the modern sense of the word, such a creature not being typical of Italian folklore. She was unquestionably called the turquoise-haired girl. As in, she had hair on her head. She can be of any color you want, but making her virtually bald is as spectacularly dumb as was choosing Jim Broadbent to play the uber-fat Professor Slughorn in the sixth Harry Potter movie.Actually not male. Just hair so short it looks bald, so the character looks like a guy from a distance. Its as short as when I get sides of my head buzzed at the haircutters with a level 1 attachment.
"Because of the inclusions in the movie. Disney needs to stop at this."
What else does this mean?
It means woke inclusions: changing character designs to be uglier, twisting race/sexuality of characters, changing personality of women characters to be manly, etc. There is no good reason to do this, however, I'll explain to you why it does.
They know that if they create new woke IP, it will be incredibly unpopular, so they infiltrate and infect existing IP to push their narrative and punish their audience if they so not comply, as the past needs to be rewritten according to their rules, otherwise it will all remain racist, oppressive and such.
Nice, you changed from "woke writing" to a general generic anti-woke narrative. Lucky, because I was going to ask how a fairy with black skin had anything to do with writing.
Anyway, I won't bother engaging you on this topic because I'm perfectly fine with someone who isn't white playing a character who was white in previous adaptations.
Dafuq is that third pic??Okay I have to say something. It's just so FUCKING annoying.
People didn't give two shits when Whitney Houston was the fairy god mother decades ago. People are misattributing it to race when it isn't the issue.
It's that they make absolutely atrocious and ridiculous looking characters and then are deliberately being antagonistic and gaslighting people. These producers are trolling audiences and are setting them up to complain. These characters are the new minstrel they looking fucking stupid and ridiculous. Then we all have to pretend how no they're so brave and beautiful, no they are clown shows and they need to be laughed at.
You hate people that aren't white being in movies?
No, but you have to respect the source of inspiration.
In fact, I have no problem with other films including characters from other cultures, but not making those forced inclusions.
It’s from the Cinderella remake on AmazonDafuq is that third pic??
Oh yeah, i remember an orange pumpkin being transformed into a coach, it must be him. It’s from the Cinderella remake on Amazon
