Pete’s Dragon.Have there been any of these live action remakes that haven't been soulless cash grab attempts?
Physical media still exists, invest in it and it will always be there.Until it gets removed for being a 'product of a different time'
Actually slightly surprised myself. Possibly the most fun I have had with one of the live action remakes so far. Though to be fair the other ones were just straight garbo.Just watched it.
It was a charming movie. Cynthia Erivo is in ONE scene... She actually sings the wish upon a star song. Beautiful voice!
Y'all are some joyless mofos! I guess it's because it's been decades since I saw the original but I quite enjoyed this!
It is deliberate. You can attempt to avoid criticism or pass off poor quality by blaming the audience. Just how people who disliked Ghostbusters are apparently all sexist.I swear they're doing the whole "make the totally white, blond haired fairy into a bald black woman" thing with the sole purpose of pissing people off.
This was a really weird movie, I was bored for half the run time, it was too long. The Fabiana character is one of the reasons for the extended run time and she was a completely pointless addition.
There are weird changes like Monstro being a Kraken like monster and the coachman working with smoke creatures to kidnap the kids. Weird.
The film made me laugh though when Pinocchio explains his adventure to Gipetto and he's like "YOU DID ALL THAT IN ONE DAY? THATS MORE THAN I'VE DONE IN MY ENTIRE LIFETIME!".
The CGI was all over the place, especially the water during the Monstro scenes.
In all honesty, the original film isn't that much better and can also be boring. I rarely touch my blu ray of the original and I can't see myself rewatching this either.

I liked the Fabiana character... The actress portrayed sweetness and she's absolutely beautiful!
I watched it with my kids Friday and agree on pretty much everything. Fabiana was completely pointless, added nothing to the story. The voice of Jiminy was weird too, at points he sounds just like the original and at others he sounds different. His voice just wasn't consistent. I also didn't like that they never showed Pinocchio turn in to a real boy. I did like the Pleasure Island sequence, best part of the movie. Pinocchio underwater looking for Gipetto was beautiful in the animated movie, the live action missed an opportunity to make a striking scene.
The original is a classic for me, one of Disney's best animated movies. The movie is really short, don't know how you could find it boring. There's just so many iconic scenes and songs from the original. I mean When you wish upon a star is at the beginning of every Disney movie!
