Who gives a shit? I'm proud of being an Eagles fan. I think this is one of the few cities where the fans live and die by the team. Mostly die but I'm still proud to be a Eagles fan. Can we get off this point? Every other post finds some way of bitching about Eagles fans. Is the game about the Eagles or their fans? McNabb and his great season, probably one of the better seasons from an Eagles quarterback, looking at the quarterback rating. I remember when Steve Young was thought to be the shit just for finishing the season above 100.
 
I hate the cameras that hang low over the field enough as it is... why put something physical on the turf... for a 100 to 1 shot of getting an image. So retarded.

pfft, don't call out steve young. mcnabb isn't half the QB steve young was. young had better arm strength, more accuracy, had better pocket presence and was arguably a better runner. if steve young played this year with the bump rules he would easily eclipse mcnabbs rating. but whatever, go eagles in the superbowl!

The confusion began at the FedEx ground and air player of the year honors, where finalists Culpepper, Peyton Manning, Shaun Alexander and Curtis Martin were on stage for the announcement.

When the master of ceremonies opened the floor for questions, Jerry Townsend spoke up from his wheelchair in the front row.

"Hey Daunte, can I get some of that ice?" he said in a low voice, referring to the two sparkling necklaces hanging around Culpepper's neck.

The apparent gift prompted a mother to cry, a father to think about buying a safe to store it and Culpepper to find a way out of the mess.

"Where's that kid at? I've got to get my stuff back," Culpepper said.

"I'll get him something else," Culpepper said sheepishly.

Culpepper then walked over to the Townsends and asked them to write down their address so he could send them something else. Culpepper wasn't sure what it would be.

Man, that's just wrong. :D The kid probably would have thought it was really cool shit if Daunte just chuckled or made a joke about his request. The kid probably just wanted a reaction and to be able to tell his buddies that he talked to Daunte Culpepper. He would have been satisfied with that, I bet. But giving the kid your jewelry and then taking it back? That's lame, the kid was probably crushed.

What in the fuck has Freddie done? NOTHING. 22 catches during the year. WOO. One TD catch in the postseason, and a recovered fumble in the endzone, where all he did was be in the right place at the right time.
and correct me if i'm wrong(i'm seriously not completely sure), but wasn't it Freddie that fumbled at the goalline and turned a sure Philly TD into a touchback for the other team?

OMFG. Law isn't playing in the game, but he's guaranteeing a victory? No one on the Eagles has EVER done that, right? Especially in the NFC Championship game this year. Nope, nothing I can remember

The media didn't blast TO at all for what he said in the NFC play-offs, including guaranteeing the Eagles were joing to Jacksonville.

god people in the media are so stupid. Can they shutup with this "The patriots are doing this in an age of free agency that other teams didn't have to deal with" crap. Yet these fools can't give one example of other teams "raiding" the pats roster every year and nabbing free agents. As far as i can tell, the main core of this team (Brady, Seymore, Law, Bruschi, Vrable, Brown, ect...) have all been together for all 3 Super Bowl runs. Where exactly is the impact of free agency? If anything, they've been able to take advantage of free agency. 20 years ago Super Bowl winners couldn't upgrade and add a 1600 yard rusher to their roster like Corey Dillon. Its like one person says something and all these dumbass "analysts" and "experts" constantly regurgitate it over and over without stopping to think if its really true.

Patriots have benefited from players signing pretty modest contracts to stay rather than seeking money elsewhere. That might also say something about the team creating a nice atmosphere for the players to want to stay.

Media has always sucked... I gave up on pre-game BS around 1990. Injest anymore than the sports page once a day and you'll get sick.

one thing i dont understand is why the eagles defense isn't really mentioned that much. in the patriots playoff run, have they really ever faced a secondary that is as... unique as the eagles is? they blitz from everywhere and have (arguably) the best safety in the game. i think if they can get to brady early (not necessarily sacks... just get to him), he can be rattled.

i remember watching the pats vs. the bears 2 years ago (the year the pats were 9-7 and missed the playoffs). bears had a huge lead and they got it by knocking the shit out of brady early. of course once they got the big lead they backed off and he picked them apart. for all the "cool" talk people use when describing brady, i have seen him rattled and i think if any team in the nfl can do it, it's the eagles.
