I don't care about the graphics so I guess I will pick it up. As long as it plays fine!it's playable, the DC ports Acclaim did like crazy taxi and 18 wheeler are just quick ports and got slammed in reviews for not looking better on better hardware.
1.35M versus what? A couple hundred thousand units? It blows me away that RE: CV fetches a higher price than REmake.

What numbers are respective to what? IDK, but CV released on 3 consoles. The PS2 alone probably makes it a more common game than REmake. Plus REmake is the better game by miles. You'd think collectors today would make demand for it go nuts with the more limited supply and send the price through the roof... collectore are a weird unpredictable bunch.

Score!! Got it Entertainmart in Addison, TX. Never see Twin Snakes in the wild not behind glass for less than $30. Missing the manual though...
Thats funny because i recently found one at a Goodwill for about $5. It was the only GCN game they had and totally a random one to boot. The disc is scratched, but seems totally playable. That same day i found a stack of NES games at another Goodwill down the street on a half off Saturday sale. It was pretty common stuff except for the Contra and Mario 3 but still rad. I never find stuff out in the wild so that day was a really weird day for me. Also i'm a huge Metal Gear fan.
I SO wish PSO supported widescreen.
Complete Gamecube with the box and all? That's a really good deal.
Yeah I got both and both are equally scratched. I own this game all ready but it's the yellow stripe players choice version. This one was the original I found recently. It's a 2-disc game fyi. Did you get both discs?
So I got my new Gamecube collection from my co-worker today.

There's some really fun stuff in here.

I never find stuff at goodwill, but that day was a major score. Keep going guys, eventually you'll see something worthwhile besides a Mary Kate and Ashley game lol.
Also to the guy above me. Jesus Christ man, nice snag!
You will notice that there was a Mary Kate and Ashley game in there.
This particular co-worker's a gem; I've set up a couple of Nvidia Shields for him (for both home and on the go usage) and he's super happy that this stuff could end up in someone's collection. It's just taking up space, he said.
So here's the big question. I've only got composite for this system, and it looks like I could get a D-Terminal cable for around $75 from Japan. I've heard that the component on Cube is much better than component for Cube games on Wii.

This shows the Wii as being massively inferior. I basically want to run this through my XRGB Mini, and Japanese RGB 21 is also an option. What's the best route here?
Fuck. Why don't I have coworkers like yours? Fantastic haul!
Honestly that image is false. I've seen actual comparison shots. The theory is that the Wii in that picture was set to 480i. Yes the Gamecube is better, but only very marginally. If you want the best quality for your gameboy player or have some 480p LAN fests planned, than yes absolutely go for it. Otherwise... It's up to you whether a small jump is worth it.
you never know until you ask. I got a box of n64 stuff from a coworker after it came up in conversation.
OMG you have all the Star Wars games on Gamecube...that's awesome as I played all of those on that system.=pSo I got my new Gamecube collection from my co-worker today.

That's exactly how it came up here. We'd talked a lot about older gaming stuff, and he mentioned that he always gives his collections to good homes once it's been a while since they've been discontinued. Another co-worker got his TG-16 + Turbo Express library a few years ago. The man is a Saint.
That's really nice of him.

I remember when all four got expensive as shit originally and Capcom had to reprint them. Maybe CV didn't get as big a run or something.
Collectors don't care for the game itself but for the specific release which, as I said, it was scarcely printed out. What numbers are respective to what? IDK, but CV released on 3 consoles. I've done my own tests on a GameCube vs Wii Component cable output, and found much different outcomes. I swear that comparison image set that keeps going around must not have been using first party Wii Component cables, because there was NOT such a difference in my testing.
Is the second image, the lower one, is that the Wii? The screens have some severe interlacing issues... is that part of the game?
Is your result here that the Wii is better or worse?
OMG you have all the Star Wars games on Gamecube...that's awesome as I played all of those on that system.=p
Not all... I don't see "The Clone Wars" there anywhere. Shame really, as I thought it was a reasonably fun game.
Unfortunately, he's posting 480i pics. He's using PAL games (still through component) so it's not a super fair comparison, but granted the difference isn't that huge.
How did I forget that when I played it on there as well???XDNot all... I don't see "The Clone Wars" there anywhere. Shame really, as I thought it was a reasonably fun game.
Good.=pLooks like I can remedy that for about $10.
Nice price. Pretty close to what it originally retailed for, right? I hope everything works out.
Aren't the Mega Man Collections 240p though? Not ideal on a lot of newer TVs but ideal for the 240p games included. So I've been deciding that for PAL only and non 480p games that I might just use the RGB on my PAL wii instead of using an action replay to change region every time I boot up a PAL game. Question, though. I know there's a difference between Wii and Gamecube component, but on PAL systems, I'd kind of assume Gamecube and Wii RGB are the same? Can someone deny/confirm?
On top of that, I'd like to make a list of non-480p games, for reference.
- Skies of Arcadia: Legends
- REmake, RE:Zero, RE:2, RE:3, RE:CVX
- Tales of Symphonia
- Super Monkey Ball
- Mega Man X Collection
- Mega Man Anniversary Collection
- Mega Man Network Transmission (Capcom really blew it when it came to 480p)
What significant games am I missing?
I just stopped by J&L Games in their new location on 6th Ave in Manhattan; holy crap have Gamecube games shot up in price. I know that these guys aren't selling things at eBay prices, but WOW. Anything Nintendo made? $65+.
Yup, same here. Every local store around the Cleveland area is the same. Anything Mario or Zelda is at a premium.
Hey, if you guys want a fair price on some GameCube games, I am mainly buying at this point for trading purposes. I got copies of:
Mario Sunshine
Paper Mario
Wind Waker
Twilight Princess
Pikmin
Rouge Squadran
Prices in Dallas are still fairly reasonable:

It hardly qualifies as a "major release", but Gotcha Force is a true hidden gem for the system.Could you recommend any major games i'm missing out on?
Amazon yo!Man I would love to find Gotcha Force some day.
Man I would love to find Gotcha Force some day. One of the few Gamecube games I still want to play to this day.
It's pretty much that.=pIt looks really kind of fun in gameplay videos though. Vaguely Virtual-On-ish?
