I'd lol if Bandai US licensed X and it somehow became as big as Wing was worldwide. That's never gonna happen this day and age, but still...
I'm surprised they never picked it up with G, despite its failure in Japan. It pretty much could have solidified Gundam's success overseas since it is a very similar show in tone to Wing. Sometimes, Japan can be so myopic.
Hell, if Turn A somehow got relatively popular in its own right, that would be great. I'm hoping for some kind of critical acclaim for the show and maybe a return to weird Gundam in Japan because of it. Though that's probably not gonna happen since Crossbone is almost a lock for the next TV series.
Someone post James Cameron the Turn A DVD boxset and if he likes it, quote him so they can put it on the box of a special edition.

Not that I wouldn't be extremely interested in a Crossbone series, but personally I hadn't heard anything about that.
edit - found it! :lol And it's from 2ch apparently. Interesting, especially since I remember someone asking Tomino at some panel a year ago (at the most) about whether or not Crossbone would ever be animated, and he said he'd like to do it if he could get some investors for the project.

Regarding the original Gundam re-release, I'd think that, if the project were to have any substantial success in the West (outside of the tiny group of Gundam fans who might not even buy it anyway), they'd have to remake it from scratch. They tried something like that with SEED, but that turned into something totally different (and not as good) by the second half. And then came Destiny, which finished that particular sub-franchise off.
If it were me, I'd do three movies based on the original scripts, with all new animation and VAs (hell, maybe even live-action/CG, BayFormers-style), and a mix of old and new soundtracks. Seems like the surest thing to me.

There is no chance though that they would do a Gundam project like a remake of 0079 just to get the west interested at this point, it would still be a Japancentric project.

Anyway, my life has been rather devoid of Gundam as of late and I find that... different, to say the least. I was thinking of rewatching Zeta for the hell of it, but now Bandai has licensed Turn A. I watched the first 10 episodes and while those episodes were good in their own right, good God was it a slow burn. Hopefully I'll be in the right frame of mind by the time they release it so that I'll be able to finish it.
