3 was really good, easily the best one as far as gameplay and overall quality goes.
That said it still wasn't as good as Original Mode in GM 1 if your looking for just pure cross-over fanservice.
However the suit and character selection is extremely limited compared to three with the only AU stuff being Wing Gundam Zero, Epyon, God, Master and Turn A.

I got 100% completion in 1 and 3, 100 hours into 2 and 3, and I've had Shin Gundam Musou (Rebirth) since its release in Japan. The third is the best, I think. I found the newest entry to be weak because a lot of the changes they made. It's also just too grindy for me.

Just finished Prologue 2 of Beltorchika's Children the manga.
I'm really enjoying this so far. Who is the artist on this project? They do a great job of mimicking the art style of the movie. Not a whole lot of differences here, mostly just set up for the Battle of Fifth Luna and a retelling of the duel between Amuro and Gyunei (named Glarv in this). We also get an introduction to the Red Lobster itself.
Really excited to see where this is going.

DWG3, I would say. Reborn has some more suits, but they half-assed it and didn't even dub the dialogue this time. Plus they went back to the original graphic style of the earlier DWG games. I think the cel-shaded visuals of DWG3 was much better-looking for a Gundam game.

No, you sit and watch ZZ like the rest of us.
It's an interesting show in terms of pacing, but it's worth it to get to CCA and the beauty that is Unicorn. The show will shift from one tone to another as the series goes, but it does it in a good way.
Also the ZZ Gundam doesn't appear until half way through the series, so I hope you like the Zeta.
ZZ has a horrible first half (or quarter?) but the second half is fine.
Definitely better than CCA.

Depends. Do you want to watch Unicorn and miss out on all the ZZ references? Bear in mind that ZZ is the most heavily referenced series in the entire run of Gundam UC and that a major character, and other details are from that show.
Actually i think the ZZ shows up earlier, but the Zeta remains the whole show.
But yeah, watch ZZ. Bear with the early stuff to get to the good.

3 is the one I played. It adds enough for it to stand out of other warriors games.
Similar note is DW:GR worth getting? if so should I wait for a discount or full price?

I have three rather large kits to be built, the MG EX-S Gundam, the HMM Gojulas and the Kotobukiya Specineff. I could probably build them quickly but I'm so tempted to paint them but I's so scared of messing it up and so they're just sitting in their boxes. I really want to buy the MG Turn X and the MG Tallgeese right now but until I build what I have now they'll have to wait.

Amazon US has the G Gundam and Gundam Wing boxset's brand new for a reasonable price and with the exception of the first collection of Wing, cheaper than retail ($50). If there's anyone who haven't completed their "collection" so to speak best get them now.
Edit: same sort of situation with Gurren Lagann, Gundam SEED, SEED Destiny, 00, Cowboy Bebop and a few other Bandai titles.

I hadn't watched anything Gundam since Wing, just finished watching Unicorn and started Build Fighters. Unicorn was amazing, some of the best mobile suit designs I've seen with great action and the epitome of Gundam condensed into seven long episodes.
Definitely makes me want to get back into Gunpla, even though I haven't built one since I was a kid and back then I didn't even paint them or anything. I do play tabletop wargames like Warhammer and Warmachine though so I have quite a bit of modeling and painting experience now.
Recommendations for where to go next as far as Gundam anime to watch as well as model kits to start on?

Depends if your going to want to see UC right away. If you do, start with the original MSG. If not, go for Gundam SEED. Avoid it's sequel SEED Destiny as well as Age. They are both terrible.
As for Model kits, my recommendation is to start small with the 1/144. You'll likely be able to get back into it faster and it's cheaper so if you're not into it you didn't blow as much money.

So, Gundam GAF which do you prefer: Human Touch (English - Warren Weibe) or Human Touch (Japanese - re-kiss)?
Warren Weibe is a tragic story. Mental health issues and committed suicide in the late 90s.

No way, Gundam Seed destiny is amazing. It is like porn for people that loved gundam seed staring Jesus Yamato, yeah the story is questionable, but you are not there for the story.
It's bad in a completely different way from AGE.
AGE is so bad it's unwatchable. DESTINY is a nonstop train wreck with no brakes applied for 50 episodes.

First two generations of AGE are good. It goes off the rails in the third generation when you realized they didn't have any good ideas on how to end the series and just did some really generic bullshit.
I refuse.
And the box of this 1/60 Shining is taking up an entire carry on on my flight back home :lol dem Gunpla transportation blues.
But if you skip out on Destiny you don't get to see all of these good things:

And Kira straight up taking Shinn's show. Destiny is worth it just for that. Best show hijack since Dragon Ball Z decided "screw Gohan, the beast is back."
I read that because, but I wasn't sure. It sounded pretty damn believable. I edited that version out and put in a different picture since my original picture apparently died.
I could make a list of things i really did like, but i've seen Destiny twice and like it.
