Yeah, it's kinda crazy but if it wasn't for Halo 3 I doubt I'd have a 360 or a HDTV before xmas. :D

I have it pre-ordered on Amazon with one day shipping, and it says 26th. :(

Let's hope they change it soon!

So getting Normal Edition and Collector's Edition aaand currently trying to scrape enough money to buy Legendary Edition.

Yeah, I hope so but I doubt it.

Damn thats a lot of money to spend on Halo. I just went with the $50 Liongames Halo 3 collectors edition deal.

Getting the CE for less than the regular is sweet, sweet goodness.
 
Also somewhat ironically, a bunch of people I know (mostly at work) bought 360s over the Labor Day weekend with the deal CC had (free 2nd controller + Table Tennis) specifically for Halo 3, since that's what most people were holding out for. My best friend calls me this morning and says out of the box his doesn't work; it gives weird errors I've never heard of on Xbox 1 games that ARE BC. And then 360 games don't work half the time, it tells him to put a disc in the system if he would like to play a game, despite it being in there. I feel kinda bad because I was previously telling everyone to wait because of all the RROD issues :lol

At least he should be able to return it okay and just swap it out in-store.

Yeah that CC deal used old 360's, likely to clear out stock.
 
I just looked in the "Ask Off for Work" book, every single guy has taken the day off.. it is going to be a Halo 3 Jamboree.

Yeah, I was hoping they would do release day shipping too. I per-ordered at Amazon awhile ago hoping they would eventually change it. However, today I broke down and canceled my order and got a pre-order at Best Buy for the legendary edition. I really like dealing with Amazon (awesome customer service), so it pains me to go to Best Buy.

Liongames is pretty popular with the CAG crowd. Also, it's awesome how that guy from Liongames post at CAG.

No real reason, just seemed like a nice day to do it.....

I believe some armor permutations are unlocked by playing through the Campaign. Just when I thought I pretty much had my armor set picked out, I stumble upon this. I already see myself spending a great deal of time messing with the different armor types and emblems.

Oops, thanks. I kinda wish all the options were there from the start, though. I get the whole "check out my armor I got from beating the game on Legendary" bragging rights idea, but I still think it is kinda pointless to lock them. I'm getting flashbacks or the poorly and pointlessly implemented unlockable map for Halo 2.
