The Official Howard Stern Show Thread

Yes, and they had a great booking with Joan Rivers lol.

A caller also got dumped out of the wrap up show for comparing Beth to Imus' wife who Howard talked about on the show today. He said at least her charity helps people not animals lol. Howard is such a pussy these days.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqlLXeQpTss

Stern also made fun of Imus for meeting his wife on a radio contest and how pathetic that is....while Fred is sitting right next to him and met his wife during a contest on the show.

I'm on GAF not SFN, right?

here's how you know this show is really not any good anymore and howard is just an old, out of touch man:
they spent like fucking 10 minutes talking about how beth hates that howard wrote a list of their friends names

ROBIN SHE HATES MY LIST. WHY DOES SHE HATE MY LIST

groooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooan

the grandpa stern show

This is exactly why I quit listening and will probably downgrade my sirius subscription. I had to cancel Sirius years ago before Artie left and was excited to get Stern back because it was almost always fucking awesome but holy shit it's has changed a lot. I didn't realize how fucking NECESSARY Artie was. Why did they not get someone else to fill his place? There had to be almost every big comedian in the world knocking on that door.

The only times the show is interesting is when there are good guests on... but even with Louis fucking C.K., it felt really bland and when there isn't a compelling guest on, it just sounds like Howard Stern is complaining about old grandpa celebrity problems. He had a whole rant on how he had to sit in a car with co-hosts on America's Got Talent and it just sounds like such up tight yuppy bullshit.

Stern is still cool, but he's old and needs an edgey comedian. Until then I'm out.

at least 3 different times i've heard him complain for multiple minutes about how cold it was in some theater he went to when he saw a play on broadway

It was the best with Artie. I even tried the Nick and Artie show, but it just didn't have that edge because it was pg-13 and simulcasted on cable. Censoring Artie is like asking Tiger Woods to play tennis.

I actually thought the show was new this morning during the Benji bit about him being late. I've heard other bits about Benji being late but not that one. Amazing how much Robin was really pushing Howard to fire him.

And this was a pitiful week of shows. The pro-israel crap I had to skip. I don't care for his Imus rants anymore. AGT. And, Joan Rivers. So freaking boring.

Was there any ETM? That's like the bright spot for me anymore. Him and JD.

Just saw on dawgs that the show will be live 4 days this month. Oh brother. I feel bad for the people that got lifetime subs for this shit.

It's over, Johnny. It's OVER!

Seriously, I never even listen to the current show anymore. It's just not the same show that got me hooked back in the early 90s. Nothing wrong with change, everything changes....but the PC celebrity interview show of today is tough to sit through waiting for a decent bit or a call from ETM or Hanzi.

And there are so many beautiful fan-made collections around. Like I just finished listening to a complete collection of appearances by Siobhan. It was amazing radio. Often funny, often poignant, sometimes just sad.

Howard is the greatest of all time and can never be surpassed, like Ty Cobb or Mozart. But even they got old and became mediocre. It's the circle of life.

A replay today

And I was excited because they started off the show with the theme song making me think it was new... Until I heard Artie speak. Sad to see what this show has become.

Last two days have been enjoyable shows - Jeff Bridges, Hanzi yesterday, today that damn pornstar who really, really had a tough life growing up and seems to be 'adjusting' well... couple of Eric bits too.. nanu-nanu - ha! The Gonzo thing was really funny too - had to laugh.

I don't think we're seeing any more live shows for awhile though with AGT tonight.

The Jeff Bridges interview was fantastic! He would seem like a great guy to hang around with. The GoT Baba Booey song is hilarious!

Howard droning one about the Israel stuff is very annoying. He wouldn't even let that one caller talk and he hung up on him. He acts like Sean Hannity when it comes to that stuff.

So, does anyone actually believes that bullshit Howard said about being moments away from asking for Robin Williams' number so he could apologize to him right before hearing he was dead? lol

Just heard Ronnie's hypnotism show.

Best radio this year.

I can't even fathom there were people listening to this fake shit and laughing.

I believe he regrets the interview. It's on youtube and it was pretty terrible. As for the other crap about getting that "feeling" and shit who knows. I bet Sal ate it all up though. lol

No way Ronnie way acting through that. It's just way too long for it to be fake. Plus the entire Ronnie being JD's girlfriend thing was terrible.

It was terribly fake. Ronnie and Sal are the only 2 who could keep a straight face during their "hypnosis." JD and Richard both broke "while under," and cracked up.

I just assumed that everyone realized that the hypnotism bits were fake but enjoyed laughing at the people on the show pretending they're actually being hypnotized. I am shocked that anyone believes it's real. I mean....come on now.

I always find it funny though. Ronnie is the best at it because he always breaks character at some point and starts cracking up. But he mostly stays in character.

I believe in the hypnotism bit. My stepfather did hypnotism and I saw people go under who definitely weren't faking.

Adriana Chechik sounds like a load of fun. In the good ol days she would have been on that sybian in a heartbeat.

On 101, during the Sternthology, I heard an ETM segment from his days of commentating American Idol on webcam. I used get on that site and give him shit in the comments. It was hilarious. That little fuck is such a dick, but people were so brutal in the comments. I got banned a few times myself.

I'm a pretty big skeptic but I really do think Ronnie's hypnotism was real.

I've been hypnotised myself once or twice. It's actually really easy to have happen, and I've learned a super basic way to do it myself - only to prove that it's possible to be 'influence' or 'suggested'.

It's also possible to 'break' - you can concentrate on waking up/snapping out of it.

Anyway - Ronnie's segment was too random, too odd. Playing naked monopoly? Owning Park Lane? I just don't think anyone could come up with that. Too good.

.

I don't really find it that hard to believe at all. Didn't think believing in hypnotism was that taboo.
