We're soon into their vacation months. I believe they're off a lot in June and I think last July they worked two days?

When Shuli came in the studio to talk about how Ronnie made his girlfriend cry, and Fred said "she was squirting from her eyes!" I almost pissed my pants. This was after making fun of Ronnie again for the squirting stuff.

Lisa G's book comes out in 8 days. I can not wait for them to tear it apart and pick out the lies. God I hope she does an audio book too so Richard and Sal can create audio like for Dolly Parton and Rush Limbaugh, etc.

with the way the show is these days i'm afraid that they will barely mention it at all. in the past you know they would rip it apart page by page. sal and richard would definitely do some gay shit acting out parts of the book. fred would use audio drops from the audio book etc.

double guests all week. it's clear that this will be the focus of THSS from now on. With Howard attempting to clean up his image for more mass appeal, THSS will be very guest and interview centric. I guess it makes sense, without Artie, and without Robin in studio, the banter, once the highlight of the show has been terrible for 3 years now.

Monday: Wendy Williams, Seth Rogen
Tuesday: Russell Brand, Ozzy Osbourne
Wednesday: Steven Tyler, Farrah Abraham

Been listening to a lot of 2006 shows lately, and my god I really think they hit the sweet spot in those early days free of the FCC. They were fearless in any content they produced each day.

Yeah the early Sirius years were very good. I have to wonder if that was only because Howard was motivated by the potential of his $75 million subscriber bonuses. Once he stopped hitting the sub numbers, the show started to decline.

That is when THSS interviews are at it's best, dropping in inside jokes on oblivious guests. Totally saved a borefest guest, but who didn't see that happening.

I actually enjoyed the Scott Thoroson interview, whether or not he was full of shit. He sounded pretty convincing about all the Michael Jackson stuff.

I really disliked Ronnie segments for awhile but this sex skit shit is amazing. It's so fucking grotesque.

Just saw part of Howard's latest appearance on Jimmy Fallon. Holy hell, he is just unbearable at this point. As usual, he criticizes the band (The Roots, no less) for the stupidest reasons. He refuses to sit down. He makes fun of the Fallon show's ratings (because the Stern show is so relevant and popular).

And then he truly reveals what an old fart he is. He criticizes Fallon for showcasing video games on the show, claiming that games are "over" (how ironic), and basically implies that Fallon is too old for video games. He even refers to video games as "Atari". Not even "Nintendo". Atari. He's officially a soulless, senile shell of a man.

Yeah Howard thinks he's being cool or something by bagging on games but he doesn't realize that they're becoming bigger and more popular than TV at this point. He just looks out of touch. Coincidentally I just listened to a segment from the Zach Braff episode where he's making fun of Scott Depace and gamers in general and saying if you have time to play games you have too much time on your hands ... he's saying this after just discussing how he spent an hour or so listening to Hurt on repeat in a dark room (remember when he said the same thing about that Lou Reed / Metallica song?), searching for the right porn for 'a few hours', and watching tons of tv shows and movies.

It is true that this book is not well written, but some of the recipes are great! Two of my favorite recipes are as follows:

Zoo Za Zoo Berry cookies. I always said these cookies were gifted, but I could never figure out just how much, until I tried them! One bite, and you too will be shouting Zoo Za Zoo!

Ostrosky Oat Cookies: You will see from the pictures in the book, this is an unusual recipe! Lisa G has photos in the book which show how she shaped these cookies into a horse's face, your kids will love them! They are made from oats, carrots, sugar cubes, bits of red carpet frosting, and Marbles brand fudge. A treat for the whole family!

I can't recommend this book, as it reads as if it was written by a particularly slow 8 year old, but the recipes are worth trying out. You'll thank me later!

I love how Howard was so brave to go out to the movies for the first time in forever and then came back to report that SHOCKING NEWS there were 30 minutes of trailers in front of the movie!!!!!!!

Outrageous!! Anyone living since the year 2002 could have told you the same thing.

Just out of complete curiosity, I watched an episode of AGT. I fast-forwarded through most of it. A couple acts were kinda cool to watch but the vast majority of the episode was horrible. It's amazing how they quick-cut through so many things and then spend 10 minutes on a single act's backstory and reaction. It is so manufactured that I don't even feel any emotion. I just end up skipping through it because I know the fat lady with a sad story is going to sing well and I just don't care.

Howard is really embarrassing on it. The things he says and the movements he makes are all really lame. If I weren't such a fan of the show, I would never want to listen based on how he is on AGT.
