So why couldn't Gary just be honest and say when asked on the wrap up show "Artie reached out to me about coming on and we wouldn't feel comfortable with him being here again." We would understand (well at least us rational fans). But instead he has to lie and pretend he didn't know Artie wanted to come back. Lying to the fans seems to be a huge part of what the show is these days and its a bummer because part of what made me a fan in the first place is that the show was so open and seemed so honest.

I was actually 100% on Benjy's side. Fred is probably my favorite person on the show (besides artie), and Benjy is well Benjy, but I was with him on this one. The show has tiers, Howard, Robin, and Fred are right no matter what (especially when they are often wrong, robin) they are god tier, followed by Gary then everyone else, and then Benjy on the bottom. Benjy is wrong no matter what the issue is. Benjy's girlfriend was attacked, and while Robin did the right thing in apologizing and admitting it was all her doing and Benjy didn't have to do anything, which was right, it still seemed like Howard and even more Fred like wanted Benjy to apologize for not accepting Robin's apology immediately, which he was under no obligation to do so.

Don't get me wrong, Benjy is still a weirdo, and the Benjy vortex is very much a real thing. But sometimes because of the front Benjy puts up or used to, and his weird little nuances and stunts he isn't taken seriously when I believe he was being serious. The rest of the staff and then wide audience takes the queue from Howard in treating Benjy like an asshole. Sure a lot of it can be attributed to Benjy's long time behavior, you can't tell if he's being serious or not at times. Case in point the wrap up show after Rob Corddry's appearance. Benjy took offense to Corddry attacking him, and no one knew if Benjy was being serious or not at first, then it got awkward when they realized he was. But it goes back to the issue that why shouldn't have Benjy been offended? People seem to think that just because Howard, Fred, Robin are "allowed" to attack and shit on Benjy without repercussion then anyone can. Corddry wouldn't have dared attack any other staff member calling into question his work ethic, etc.

Anyways as much as I love Fred, he sometimes can get really mean and angry, and in this instance Benjy was in the right, but sadly I am one of the few who will defend him because Benjy hate is the norm in the Howard Stern universe.

Fred turns into a child when he's either in an argument or being made fun of. I'm guessing everyone has known someone like that who take what otherwise would be a light conversation and instead sour it up with years of resentment and anger.

As for today's show, this is the shit I've missed. I love when they do staff events like today's most popular staff member and ppl flip out about the results. These are the shows that are a blast to listen to, with the back office fighting. Felt like the good ole days where these bits were the norm. Lol I love ppl hating on Jason.

Good show today. John Goodman was a fun interview, true celebrity superfan. and Angel the BJ teacher was fucking hilarious. Having Sal and Richard learn the techniques felt like the good ole days again.

I actually liked the last time Lady Gaga was on the show, but this time was such a bore. I just couldn't stand listening to her drone on and on like some freshman humanities student. God that was annoying, and it went on for 2+ hours.

First off, lmao at the repeated laugh at the end of the first video. But more importantly, I had assumed Robin wasn't in the studio anymore but I don't think we had proof until now.

So basically, Robin went back to work for 2 days to promote a shitty book that sold 113 copies? And they hyped it up as Robin being cured and back to work? That's so shitty. These people are so ridiculous now.

Yes they are in studio this week. He talked about it yesterday. They were trying to get the son on the line but it was too early where he lives. They ended up talking to the hooker.

I have to wonder about the secrecy behind Robin not being in the studio again. We were told before that it was kept quiet for her privacy with her health concerns. Well, then she came back in and discussed all these concerns publicly and promoted a book which detailed them explicitly. We were led to believe she was going to be back in the studio from now on because she was "cured."

So what would the secrecy be about now?

it was painfully contrived. sal on wrap-up show is such a gold mine lately that howard is trying to make up bits for him to add content to his show. unfortunately the real fans see right through it, sal is at his best when it's organic and genuine.

I saw on dawgs that early in the show Howard told Robin he's having a tough time getting her Christmas gift to her and asked when would be the next time she's in the city .. so clearly she's not in the studio .. and then later they had song parody guys in and the one guy said to Robin how beautiful she was looking and how he bets she wishes she was blind so she couldnt see how ugly the other song parody guy was. I wonder if that dude was trying to be a team player or if the guests are now being told to say stuff to make it seem like Robin is there after the whole Dr. Debbie Magids thing from last week.

It's so confusing. Why are they doing all this pretending? I'm seriously starting to believe the people who say that she only signed back on for a new contract with the stipulation that she could do the show from home. We all know that everyone had to take a pay cut in the new contract, so maybe the 34 decided to flex her...well...whatever exists on her body where most humans would have muscles.

I figure its gotta be that. Unless she was just conning people about being cured. Which I have to imagine is too devious to be true.

I think they're coming back the same way Back Office Radio is coming back (almost gone a year now).
