I got through on the Apple site... No conf. email yet but I have an order number, I'm pissed off that white won't be available until late summer. About fucking time I upgraded from 3G, though, so I ordered black. Can't wait can't wait can't wait.
 
Hey stupid question, but I have no where to ask since OT is closed. I am trying to do my iPhone pre-order, and I can't edit the shipping options. I want to pay for the overnight shipping, but Apple is only offering it's standard free shipping...

....is that overnight?

If you preorder from apple, you will get your phone on the 24th with their standard shipping

Mine says this too (as does everyone I know that went for in-store), i'm guessing because they were unable to confirm eligibility since AT&T's servers were down all goddamn day.
 
I got through and have a 32GB iPhone 4 reserved, but I'm on a family plan and my father is the primary account holder.

Am I going to be "screwed" on this? It says you need to provide an I.D./SSN when you pick it up. I couldn't use the last four digits of my own SSN because it's not on the account. I have my own iPhone and of course will be the one paying for the new one. Are they going to give me any trouble over this? It seems kind of silly that I'd have to bring my father with me to buy something at 29. :lol

Yup, the free shipping is supposedly guaranteed for release date. Don't worry about it.
 
Damn. Guess I got lucky with my 6AM EST ATT.com preorder.
I was going to wait until I got into the office and settled... roughly 9:30AM EST.

Mine does as well. My brother reserved later in the afternoon and his email doesn't have a price at all, I'm assuming they fixed the glitch by then.

I reserved using the App at ~11:30 and the email doesn't have a price. I'm sure once you get to the store on the 24th they'll be able to look your information up and charge you whatever they need to.
 
Btw looks like the apple online store is now saying ships July 2 for new orders. Even with all the problems today they sold out that quick. Wow.

all they need to verify is the last four digits of the holder's SSN. just ask him what they are and write it down so you'll remember or something.
 
Looks like I got my confirmation email. Everything is correct. Hopefully I'll get it delivered on the 24th as advertised...
 
Well, I tried again this evening and scored a pre-order for delivery on the 24th. Received my email confirmation a couple of hours later. :D

I'm still curious about the in-store reservations. Nothing in the email I received for that inspired much confidence.

Very frustrating process. Tried the first time on Apple's site at 8 this morning. Tried throughout the day. FINALLY got the order completed at 10 pm tonight. Says it's shipping for the 24th thank Jebus since I'm going overseas in early July. Curious as to how many were sold today.
 
I changed my mind (actually forced by Apple) and got the black 32gb. Pre-order went through on AT&T website around 2:30 EST.

I am a survivor of the iPhone 4 Pre-order Day.

Just reserved my Iphone 4 yesterday for the in-store pickup..got to be there at 7am next week thurs..where there will most likely be a friggin line of people waiting haha. Anyone else picking theirs up at the Apple store in Soho? (New York City).

Tried it last night. Everytime I was killed it was by something hidden under one of my thumbs. Plays well on iPad but the iPhone interace hinders your view of the game space.
 
This cute looking game came out. There was an Xbox Indies game by the same dudes.
