just buy motionx poker. it's very similar in design to a blackjack game, and it's really badass.

Sega and Other Ocean announced an upcoming patch to sort out controls and allow for "centering". No date given.
 
Has anyone tried 5dice, the yahtzee clone?
How do you roll the dice? How do you lock in the dice?

I'm dying for some Yahtzee. Preferably a MotionX-type version.

Do these Apps have the same re-downloading policy as Music on iTunes?

Ie, download once. If you lose/accidently delete it, you have to pay again?

Fortunately they don't follow the same policy and you can re-download purchased apps. More info HERE

Nope, in the browser hit the bookmark button, click Add to Home Page (or something very close along those lines)
 
Is it true that Aurora Feint got pulled? One of my coworkers said it has a security hole but I can't find shit about this.

Well, depends on what you consider FMV :) Technically it is a video playing, but it's the old SegaCD/Turbografx style cutscenes without a lot of motion. Definitely has voice acting, though. Maybe you accidentally skipped it? To re-see it, just go to the in-game menu and choose "Restart". Starts with some explosions, then you see a fireball hurtling through space, until a robot armor is revealed...

Vay seems pretty cool so far, but why did they have to relocalize it? I'm sure Working Designs did a great job when they did it for Sega. But this...WAY WAY WAY too many references to modern events, catchphrases, and the like. From terrorist activity to weapons of mass destruction to profiling to high gas prices to Live Free or Die Hard to Princess Bride...and that's only in the first two towns, one dungeon and a boss encounter!

Ah thanks. Do the 'original battle sprites' not work for you either?

I'm liking it a lot as well, and I'll agree, I don't care for all the modern references.

Right, no original battle sprites for me. Must be a bug. I also once had a turn in combat where the menu icons were all missing so I couldn't do anything. Luckily, the game saves its state, so all I had to do was hit the Home button and restart the game and it continued where it left off in the fight, this time with the menu up.

yeah I just didn't notice my 9 home pages where full and it wasn't letting me add more, time to throw out more useless apps. 9 screens doesn't really seem so much anymore now that there are tons of apps.

The game was buggy as hell anyway, they are releasing a updated version soon
 
I bought smb 2 days ago , i thought the game unplayable before i bought it because of the review on the app store ,but i like the game and the control is good ,now im at level 90 (world 5 hard first level) , i still didnot stuck in any level, even the level that some people said its hard i finished it in maybe 5 tries .

If you want good game try cube run (its free) ,the game come with one level in different
difficulties but you can download custom levels

to add a level go to (select level pack) then to add level pack ,write the url for the level.
the bad thing is you only can add 1 level every time.

Couldn't agree more. Some of the puzzles are close to unplayable, but free mode is fun!

How is that? I like Mario Kart type games but I don't really know if I need that kind of experience on my phone.

Have you guys checked out that Brain Challenge game? My friend bought it and it's pretty fun surprisingly. A bit steep at $10 but there seems to be a lot of content packed into it.

It's actually really fun. BUT, the game handles the acceleration for you so you just have to worry about turning/drifting/jumping/powerups. That might be a negative for you, I personally think it works fine. The graphics are somewhere in between the DS and PSP.

Crash is pretty good, though I beat story/cup in like an hour I wish it had multiplayer for some replay value.
 
macman the best pacman game on the iphone and its free
its just like pacman ce but endless mode
the control is ok (available on cydia if you jailbreak your iphone)

I agree. I love this version of the MonkeyBall. Uses completely different gaming muscles. In fact, I'd do so far to say that this is almost athletic type gaming. Highly rewarding when you put the time in. I finished it last week and since then I've been going for all 110 Crowns (collect ten bananas in each level) and I'm currently at 74 crowns.

I bought radius last night: concept is kinda cool. execution is leaving me frustrated. you spin and drag the sphere on its center to see all around it and on the surface, these alarm points spawn and you have to tap them before they explode, damaging you health. when the game gets going, it's a rapid fire mixture of spinning and then quick tapping on the enemies.

BUT, the problem I have is that the dragging motion on the sphere is totally screwed up compared to other iphone apps. normally, when you flick on an item, it continues to spin as you let go of your finger. and when you drag an item and then let go, the item stays where you picked up your finger.

But in this game, you can drag the sphere a set distance, stop, then lift your finger and the sphere will start spinning really fast as if you just flicked it really hard. it makes it very frustrating to tap on the spawn points when you can't center the sphere as you want to. I guess they want you to keep flicking the sphere and tap the points as the sphere is moving but then they shouldn't have allowed the drag motion to work at all.

still, very cool looking game. I'm hoping they rework the drag controls in an update. If you're super co-ordinated, you might be able to play it using only flicking for moving the sphere and then hitting the spawn points as the sphere continues to rotate.

i heard that the reason aurora feint got pulled and updated was not for technical reasons........it was that it was dialing home with the information in the contacts of your phone. i hope that's false, cause that sounds waaay too shady.

oh, it's true. they sent all your contacts info, UNENCRYPTED, to their servers if you signed up to their community features (find your friends online). this has, apparently, been fixed.

I never said yes for the "find friends playing" feature so I was not affected.

btw, you asked in another thread about a dictionary app and now one has been released. more polish that weDict...

Is it possible to view international app stores? I want to view some outside of the US. Why don't they just let you view them all through tabs?
