Basically xbox.com lite.

I don't think the iphone's accellerometer is up to the task TBH, it's more like the Sixaxis than the Wiimote. I've tried other games like Cube Runner and Spinner (Which feature the most responsive controls on the system) and they aren't nearly as responsive as the Wiimote, despite only having to detect rotational movements (Which is what the accellerometer was designed to detect and is best at detecting)
Yes, please do!centracore said:I've been working on an iPhone game for a little while now and it's starting to come together nicely... I'll have to post some details and screenshots here (if that's allowed) before it goes up on the App Store.

Be really interested to know what you think of developing for the device, too.
Kung Fu Jedi said:There are several apps that due this already, although they are not all created equal. I've been using both 1337pwn and iLive and they both work pretty well, although neither is completely perfect. Updates are coming soon that are going to expand their abilities however, but if I were recommending one right now, definitely go with 1337pwn. The one linked above.
There is nothing like that, not even on Windows or anything.Dirtbag 504 said:I want something that has a login to my existing gamertag and gives me my friendslist (none of this manual entry shit), ability to approve/decline friend requests, read/delete/reply to messages, compare gamerscores. And I'd really like it to look as official as possible, and not so '1337'. These are things you can all do from xbox.com with a simple login of your live id.
Thanks for looking out though fellahs
AAMOF i had not even seen that announcement. what's funny is that for some time i mistakenly thought i had the update, even though i actually didn't (too many updates, not paying attention which is which), but did not bother to try it.PhlivoSong said:It feels the same to me. Did you actually notice a difference or just expect it to play differently because they announced they were working on some fixes?
Dirtbag 504 said:Sweet! Thanks guys. I never knew.
EDIT:Ok so having just installed it and spent a minute fooling around on it, I can say this is nothing like what I was talking about.

New PSP improves it GREATLY.memecomplex said:Hmm... my interest in handheld gaming was reinvigorated after playing games on the iPhone, so I picked up my slim & lite PSP, spent some time charging it, updated the firmware and was completely shocked at the screen being so low-res - a screen that I thought at one point was the most beautiful screen in a gaming portable. But 480 x 272 just doesn't cut it anymore; coupled with the archaic non-touch screen, non-motion sensitive interface the PSP simply feels ancient. Time is not kind to bleeding-edge tech gadgets.

In August, we noted that the popular PhoneSaber application for the iPhone had been pulled at the request of Lucasfilm. PhoneSaber was a light saber "simulator" complete with sound effects.
As promised, the developer announced that an official version is on the way and it should be available soon in the App Store:
The app will have a new name and a whole new look. The new version, Lightsaber Unleashed, will have a strong link to the new multi-platform title Star Wars ®: The Force Unleashed, which is out soon. Lightsaber Unleashed will feature exciting characters from this new game as well as vastly improved graphics, sound effects and optional dueling music (which was a popular request).
The new version of the App will still be free.

kaiserbus said:I agree, the game is surprisingly good. My three main issues are:
-Sometimes I'm so focused on the action that my fingers miss the soft buttons/d-pad.
-Double taps and diagonals don't always register.
-Because I have to hold the iPhone sideways, my fingers cover up the speakers, cutting out most of the sound.
Still, really impressive.

I'd imagine it'd be 1.99 or 99 cents like many of the other "non-officially licensed' apps on that store.DoctorWho said:It should be free. It's pretty much useless.
