Wow, get that Adventure game now before the author gets sued by Atari for Copyright infringement. Copying the game exactly, and then not only releasing it on a service where Atari threatened people just for having similar names as their games, but claiming his own copyright on it?? The guy must be mad!

I played the demo and I really enjoyed it, immediately purchased.

anyone know why Gameloft removed Guitar Rock Tour from the app store? Maybe they got a cease and desist from Activision?

I'm glad I got it before they took it down.

AWESOME trailer for Hero of Sparta, Gameloft's upcoming "God of War"-style game.. only top-down.

Powerboat Challenge looks good, downloading the lite version now.

Also bought Fieldrunners a couple days ago. I'm actually disappointed in it. Good graphics, but it's pretty basic.

I think that was the case, yeah.

Not only I actually bought an iPod Touch with a few games because of this thread, but I also bought a Mac to replace my aging PC and now I'm on my way to learn how to develop for the iPhone. I have a couple of ideas and I think I can get them on the app store. Thanks GAF!

Nice. :) Can't wait to see what comes of your creativity!

I just got it tonight, and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite apps. It's so simple, yet so addicting and fun. I needed a really pick-up-and play game for stuff like waiting at the doctor's office or waiting on someone, and this seems to be it. Perfect. Also, this makes me want Audiosurf on the App Store, pronto. It'd be so perfect with Snail Mail controls.

BUY SNAIL MAIL!

How is the music in game? There's not much on the site about it, so I hope they haven't skimped on it. I guess there's no speech, right?
I'm not too far, but it's pretty good so far, if a little repetitive. No speech; you're correct.

Apple won't let devs access your music library, so Audiosurf wouldn't be anywhere near as good as it is on PC.

Shoot em up 2097 is free until until tomorrow lunchtime (roughly), worth grabbing before starts being a paid for app again (it's free for 48 hours to celebrate 500 sales).

Virtual Pool is a steal at 0.99. The aiming isn't 100% smooth, but the physics are absolutely top notch. It's pretty comparable to Virtual Pool on the PC.

Pathways is fucking incredible. Probably my favorite iPhone puzzle game yet.

I would've paid 5 bucks for it had I known it was so good.

So the only game I bought since launch is Motion X poker and loved it so much I got all their little achievements in the game but haven't gotten anything else since then. I just bought Yahtzee but does anyone have a website for reviews, top 5 lists of games?

This no demo stuff is killing me.

Not really gaming, but BeeJive IM app is 9.99 instead of 15.99$

There are some other apps cheaper, just have to digg through the store yourself.

Am I just blind or is there no download history to see what games you already bought on itunes?

Edit: :lol Apparently I am blind. Now I've got it.

Edit2: Well, now that I've figured that out what games are worth buying that are on sale? I'm assuming you were recommending the bolded?

Dammit. Keeps telling me 'this app is not comtabilble with this iPhone' bullshit. Running 2.0.1.

For what? I have no incentive to do so.

If these devs are in this to make $$, they shouldn't require the latest FW since not all iPhone owners are on it (<2.0 excluded, obviously).

And the numerous new features, security fixes, and massive stability improvements in going from 2.0.x to 2.1/2.2? How much more 'incentive' do you need?

All iPhone owners *should* be on 2.2. Apple sent all owners emails telling them to upgrade (to both 2.1 and 2.2), and AT&T sent them all text messages. If you didn't want a faster OS with more features that didn't crash as much, then oh well. Developers aren't going to decide to not use the snazzy new features they get by requiring new OS's when Apple and AT&T make it so easy to upgrade and tell everyone to do so. For example, as of OS 2.1 developers can detect if an iPod song is playing when their game starts up, so they can make their game not kill the iPod music without having to pop up a message asking about it. And OS 2.2 lets games recognize the mute switch, so the mute switch can kill game sounds as well as ringtones.

Oh, and the purchase screen for the app should list the OS requirements, so you can choose to skip those if you really want to live in the past.
