Enemy Of Fate said:Probably not the right place to ask this but I can't find my answer anywhere despite searching all over the web so here goes! Recently for some reason my apps won't sync with my 2nd generation 32GB iPod touch, it says its syncing, but only for a few seconds and then it acts as though its done, despite not having transferred over the new apps. Now I have already been through all the other recommended stuff like enabling then disenabling restrictions, de-authorizing and re-authorizing the computer, re-installing itunes, making sure all the boxes are ticked and so on, and so far the only option left to me is to restore my ipod, which I really don't want to do as it would be a major pain in the ass, so can anyone here offer any support? Thanks.
Enemy Of Fate said:Don't think its the cable, I had an older one and tried to use it and it didn't make any difference. Will try to grab one from a friend tomo and see if its any good, but my hopes aren't hi.![]()
Enemy Of Fate said:Yeah i've tried 3 different cables now so i'm fairly sure they're not the problem. Can anyone else over any advice bout my problem? Please?I really can't deal with not having the new apps i've bought!!!
I don't think it's out yet. The mobile version got ok reviews, and it can't be any worse than payback.dream said:Anyone try Car Jack Streets? It looks semi Chinatown Warsish!

I've been waiting for that since Carmack mentioned it on his development document that was released alongside iWolf3D on id's website.Zeliard said:Probably old news here I'm sure, but Wolf3D is surprisingly amazing. :lol
The re-textured graphics are cool, and I love that it seems to be the entire game, but it's the controls that are surprising. They're incredibly responsive considering it's all touch-based, and there's never any point where I feel like I can't do what I want.
Really can't wait for the Doom port now.
Anyone here try Car Jack Street yet?
R Squared said:I really hope that the customizable controls that were implemented in Wolf3D 1.1 are available on Doom. Hopefully it's out in a timely-ish fashion.
id dev said:Wolf3D Lite will be out soon.
It's been "In Review" at the App Store since Tuesday. I can only hope it'll get through the review process soon.
The Lite version is free, and it contains Episode 1 levels 1-3.
Things are looking pretty good with Doom, though performance and multiplayer will take more time than Wolf did.
Stoney Mason said:I'd wait for a lite version. It controls a lot better than Payback where that game almost immediately was a turn off on that front but it's still got some annoying issues relative to pretty much all the old school GTA's. It feels too zoomed in. You wish you could just jump over stuff, etc. The on foot controls feel really good. The in car controls feel less good but are adequate.
Chinatown Wars fixed a lot of the annoying stuff that use to bug me about old school GTA games but most of them are still present in Car Jack Streets for me.
It's certainly not unplayable and its far more playable than Payback but I would say try before you buy in this case.
Playing it makes me wish ChinaTown wars was ported over.
Zeliard said:Yeah, Chinatown Wars would be ideal. The IPhone can easily handle it on a technical level, as far as graphics. The controls and UI are likely the only possible stumbling block.
I would love to see a GTA game on the IPhone. No reason it couldn't be done eventually. We've seen some fairly innovative and creative stuff so far done with the touch screen.

The Treasures of Montezuma is a damn good story based take off on Bejeweled. At only $2 it's also a great deal.

Thanks for the link but unfortunately i'm on XP.Am bit confused now though, is the problem my ipod or itunes itself?Gonna install itunes on a friends computer and see if that makes any difference.PhlivoSong said:This seems to fix a relatively common syncing issue. Why not give this a try? This fix only applies if you're on a mac though.

In the meantime, why not download your new apps right to your iPod over wifi? Even if you don't have wifi there are lots of places that have free wifi available while you sort out the problem.
This game is great, thanks for the heads up.Stoney Mason said:Another post another game pimping.

truth-lasers said:So I bought Lilt Line.
It's iCopter mixed with Tap Tap.
I've done seven (of 10 songs), and you control the line by tilting, which works surprisingly well, it's sensitive so there's no big movements involved. When a white line appears on the screen, you tap the screen when your line moves through, keeping rhythm to the beat.
The scoring system is quite interesting. You start out with the highest possible score, every mistake you make (like missing a tap or driving into the tunnel walls) removes points from your score. If your score reaches zero, it's game over.
The levels are very short, just a minute of game on each (or something like that). The music is top though, done by 16-bit:

The visuals are retro and simple, and I like them a lot, menus with bright pink and green colours and they don't distract once in game.
Worth $2,99?
I have no idea.
I'm going back to play the last three songs now, then start completing all songs with max points. Should be a challenge.

I'm looking for some music composition software. In particular I want to make cute melodies for video-games. Is there anything worth getting for this?

Any other titles I must have? Please not too expensive.. :lol
Yep, you bet I did. I really liked Payback and I really will want to try a lite version of CJS.. Any other good titles?Stoney Mason said:Hope you tried to lite version for Payback or indeed any lite version that exists for a game you want. I think Car Jack Streets (while flawed in its own ways) is the superior title.

I don't like Drop7 at all either. I really regret paying full price for that one. It's a good job you can't 'gift' your apps to other people, as there are plenty that I would gladly pass on to anyone that wants them. I'm glad you can't though (because I'm an iphone developer tooLaneDS said:Drop7 didn't really do it for me, and I feel like I've shamed this thread somehow. Maybe I just need more time with it.
