What they are is anyone's guess
Eh it's ok. My problem was that the input window seemed pretty big and it has segments were bunches of hits come in and you can just mash away to get past it. I forget if they matched the music all that well either. It's more of a funky experience than a good music game. Get Pac-Man CE instead!toythatkills said:Ninja Honda Karate is down to 59p, any good for that price?

You can connect to other countries' Stores without changing proxy settings.Psy-Phi said:I would think you'd have to get a proxy running and connected to japan. I am not sure if you can connect to other region stores...but emphasis on the I am not sure part. Haven't thought of doing it. Otherwise, wouldn't the Edge game controversy not be so bad (since it almost always seems available in one region or another).
You just have to create an account on the japanese Store and try to login in the iTunes. When it starts opening the German Store, it'll say something along the lines of "this account is only available for purchases on the Japanese Store" and then it'll take you there.Mailenstein said:I have a question:
I'm located in Germany using the german itunes store. Is there a way to buy stuff from the japanese itunes store? I'm interested in Power Prokun Yakyu Touch and some others. What do I need to do? Just buy a japanese itunes card or anything else? Thanks in advance!
So my iphone can handle the content of both stores? And I guess I'm right when I said I need to get japanese itunes cards, right?Brazil said:You can connect to other countries' Stores without changing proxy settings.

My friend recently graduated in game design, and he made a game for the iPhone for his master's degree. It's a free application, and I just wanted to get some honest opinions for him.
The game is a puzzle game, matching colours and all that, with fireworks. It's pretty easy to understand (I hope), and it even has a tutorial.
I really do mean honest opinions, so do your thing GAF. I'll just edit the really soulcrushing stuff.
BTW, the title means fireworks in Luxembourgish.

Same here. Glad I caught hybrid cuz of this thread. I almost missed out on imp oaf as well.anachronous_one said:Wow. MiniSquadron is today's Appvent Calendar free game! gogogogogo!
edit: also, has anyone else had problems with BargainBin not picking up on price drops? Luckily I caught Hybrid because of this thread, but BargainBin never alerted me of the price drop and has never changed the "current price" listing for that game. It just makes me wonder how many other app deals are slipping through the cracks.
Dacvak said:Well, I'm trying give you a decent writeup, but it keeps freezing and crashing my iPhone. =P
I guess I'll try restarting.
Edit: Yeah, it freezes every time the second firework comes up from the bottom. I have an iPhone 3GS.
So, given the fact that you want me to critique it, I'll do the best I can: (From what I can tell) It seems like a pretty cool concept, and I love fireworks. The menus are bland and kinda boring to look at. I dig the intro song. The sound quality is pretty low, for some reason, though. Oh, and the game doesn't work on my iPhone.
1.5/10.
(I still rated it 5/5 on the AppStore for your friend, though.)
I think iblast moki is great too. The others have been misses pretty much. Though the favorite free game I've gotten recently is minim. It's an odd game about combining numbers/molecules, but I find it super addictive.Dacvak said:MiniSquadron is AWESOME. Get it now while you can, or wait a day and support the developer. I'm going to see if I can donate a couple bucks to him, because I love this game. It's the first Appvent game I've enjoyed.
You didn't like Samurai? Polyhedra? Or iBlast Moki? What's wrong with you? Blimp and Imp vs Oaf are two high quality titles as well.Dacvak said:MiniSquadron is AWESOME. Undercroft for old school RPG goodness. Dungeon Hunter for Diablo clone-age.The_Inquisitor said:Hey GAF. I am about to go on a 15 hour flight and need some new games. Already gotten LUX free because I love RISK and I downloaded Mini-Squadron cause it was a lot of fun.
I really like RPGs, but I am open to almost everything. Single player is preferred. Any recommendations? Thanks!
Just downloaded it. Will check out and give an opinion later.alu said:Hey guys,

so is undercroft a great game? it seems pretty deep and very polished from the demo, and i love eye of the beholder/lands of lore.Aaron said:Undercroft for old school RPG goodness. Dungeon Hunter for Diablo clone-age.

If you were into those sort of games, I'd say it's a must have. Plays great and there's a good amount of depth to it. Dialogue is occasionally iffy, but doesn't hurt my enjoyment of it. I've only put in a few hours, but I really dig it.mattiewheels said:so is undercroft a great game? it seems pretty deep and very polished from the demo, and i love eye of the beholder/lands of lore.
Thirded, by the way. Beautiful art, shit gameplay.whatevermort said:This. As a game it is absolutely useless. There is next-to no actual gameplay involved (I played for fifteen minutes by moving constantly right and pretty slash or shoot sporadically), but it looks pretty. So, you know.
Psy-Phi said:The Deep (Pinball) was updated -- and added a save and load feature finally. But the best news is that there's another table from the team and I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. Jungle Style. It's a great table too, at least so far. Like The Deep was to Wild West. Loving these pinball tables more than the other pinball tables that have multiple games in them from the amiga era. I wish those were better, but these will do nicely.
Just a heads up for anyone else who enjoys pinball on the iphone.
Nah, it's fun. Once you get the air scythe and start mixing up shooting and slicing it gets a lot less repetitive.Masklinn said:Thirded, by the way. Beautiful art, shit gameplay.
It's basically Zombieville USA, which I love, and many others do as well -- so I'm not sure where these people who think it's a poor game are coming from. It's a simple survival game. See how far you can go.Jocchan said:Nah, it's fun. Once you get the air scythe and start mixing up shooting and slicing it gets a lot less repetitive.
It's grown on my since I've gotten the flamethrower. It makes the zombies pop up quicker, and easier to mow down.Jocchan said:Nah, it's fun. Once you get the air scythe and start mixing up shooting and slicing it gets a lot less repetitive.
Well, actually no. It has a set number of days (the pause menu says 31, I'm on 11). Oh, and I tried Zombieville USA Lite and didn't like it :OPsy-Phi said:It's basically Zombieville USA, which I love, and many others do as well -- so I'm not sure where these people who think it's a poor game are coming from. I got the holy gun early and loved it. Then proceeded to max out the scythe, and now zombies are starting to get tougher so even a maxed out scythe won't be enough.Aaron said:It's grown on my since I've gotten the flamethrower. It makes the zombies pop up quicker, and easier to mow down.
