April 10.
Sale price: $4.99 (North America), £2.99 (England), €3.99 (Europe)
Normal price: $8.99, £5.49, €6.99

I think I saw or heard somewhere the sale is 3 days? Then the demo comes out afterwards.

ahh awesome :O thx man gonna pick this up tomorrow :)

I've already picked up a few games that are on sale. I have a feeling I could easily buy 30 games right now. After PSN prices...I don't care about pricing on iTunes. Seriously, $3, $5, $10, I don't care.

I'm still going to hold out for the next generation iPod Touch, though.

Did you pick up Let's Golf? I figured that would be right up your alley.

I bought The Simpsons Arcade game, and it's not too bad. It draws HEAVILLY on the original arcade game. Down to the loading screens, though. Pretty good for $1.
I enjoyed it too; was fun for a playthrough. Didn't really notice it drew heavily from the Arcade game though but it's been over a decade since I played through that. Graphics are probably the best part. Would have been cool if they could have included more sound and video clips but still a fun game.

Not yet. I'm interested in what Tiger Woods 11 will looks like.

Still though, Let's Golf looks like the closest thing to Hot Shots Golf on the iPhone/Touch at this point. I'll definitely give it a shot.

You realize you'll have to hold out for around 6 months if it comes out at it's usual time of year right?

Some reviews:

Sword and Poker : Art is a little limp, but its just a tremendous core game. I hope Puzzle Quest 3 uses something like this. Depending on price, buy it.

Enviro-Bear 2000 : No excuse. Buy it.

Meteor Blitz : Critics of the iPhone's potential for hardcore twitch action eat a massive bowl of shut up. Buy.

Hook Champ : Truly heroic concept, if a little tough at first. Timing is key. Buy.

Space Invaders Infinity Gene : Space Invaders in a post-Rez world. Mesmerising gameplay, simple levels and weirdly uncompromising. Buy.

Canabalt : Supreme greatness. Its not just the simple concept, its the excellence of execution. Buy it twice.

Street Fighter IV: Oh no, the controls must be terrible! Uhhh yeah but its SF4 on a phone and you can multiplayer. If cheap, buy.

Call of Duty Zombies: Unconvinced by this. Feels limp and unplanned.

Ghosts and Goblins Gold Knights: It almost works, but it really could have been properly redesigned better. Plus in-app purchased powerups = no. Still, if you have to have it, it is what it says on the box.

Flight Control : Oh. My. God. Just. Stick. It. In.

Zen Bound : One of the best art directions I've seen in a game for years. Superb on that basis alone. Buy.

Civilisation Revolution : Has lots of people convinced, but there's a free demo which I'm checking out before I commit.

Overall, I have stopped playing DS and PSP since I got an iPhone and I don't know how I can justify spending 30-40 bucks on games for one of those when I can spend a fraction of that and not feel ripped off half the time.

But-but-but... there's no dpad, it's all fart apps and line drawing, it's NOT A PROPER GAMES MACHINE DAMMIT! Besides, no-one uses an iphone for gaming...

Actually, my DS and PSP don't see a lot of use these days either. I completely agree with your post :D

What sale are you talking about?

Has anyone here bought Hudson's RPG/RTS Knights of the Phantom Castle? Impressions?

In this game, build your army of knights during the [Camp] phase; decide on the army's deployment, equipment and strategies during the [Combat Deployment] phase; and, during the [Stage Battle] phase, take advantage of every control techniques, terrain and stage devices to clear the stage objectives and move on.

Whats a good place to go for iPhone game reviews? I like screenshots and all
A lot of the review sites have full video reviews on Youtube if you enjoy moving images with sound too.

Edit:

Did Toki Tori Deluxe get canned? In fact, has any dev released a 3gs only game?

Yeah, Espgaluda 2 only works on 3GS and later iPod touches, earlier models are a no go, too weak.

No reviews but a bunch of recommendations here. I guess I should add a youtube link or something to auto search for video reviews...

I remember Ridge Racer suggesting 3rd gen hardware only, but I think they still let it run on old hardware which ran like shit. Katamari *should* be 3rd gen cause it runs like shit on old hardware...but the 3rd gen wasn't out when Katamari came out.

It's so damn easy to spend money on games for this thing. A total of like 10 seconds when you got your iTunes account linked (just bought Espgaluda 2 and Sword & Poker lol)

Luckily the games are cheap as dirt, but the fact that there are so many good games kind of negates that...

Anybody else has Titan Wars? Somethings are annoying, how you can't buy Energy with money. I am Level 6 and I have 0 Honor points, no clue how to get them. I just lost a boss battle, got my ass kicked :lol

If yes, add me - amesre

Sorry for the noob question but I am really new to the iPod Touch gaming scene. My 30GB iPod classic has zero battery life so my wife picked me up a 64GB iPod touch as a surprise. I have ignored iPhone and iPad gaming from the start so I am starting from square one.

I am want to pick up a few good games to take with me on vacation in a couple of weeks. GTA China Town Wars and Plants vs. Zombies are the 2 that I will buy for sure but what other games are "Must Own" on the iPod touch? I am not that interested in puzzle and/or casual games and prefer games with a little bit more depth.

Any suggestions?
