Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.53GHZ here and as soon as a map finishes loading it's at 100% usage. It's not really hurting gameplay... 60 frames most of the time and it obviously dips a bit when getting to the heavier stuff. No overheating either. Just a little worrying to see.
Medic said:I just loaded up the game and got 90-100% load as soon as gameplay began. This was with a stock E8400. The Source engine loves it some CPU, so I wouldn't worry about it.
All I can tell you is that it'll only award you the achievement if you completed a campaign on Expert from start to finish in one go. Which you probably did, I reckon.blahness said:Is there a bug on the 360 where you do not get credit for completing a campaign on expert? My wife and I went through Death Toll last night and we both did not get credit on our What are you trying to Prove achievement. Neither of us went idle at any point of the game.

mattso said:I just beat no mercy on expert and it didn't count towards my what are you trying to prove
grrrr
No I didn't so maybe you're right. I beat blood harvest on expert after with me having got into the truck and it added. So I guess I have to do no mercy again and then I can just play expert for fun.blahness said:Did your character actually make it into the helicopter? I have been reading that with the new patch, if your character does not survive, you will not get any credit for beating the campaign.

It would be terrible, because it has integrated graphics. You need something with a dedicated gpu to handle L4D. Of course, laptops with those cost more than the $580 for that one in your link.nyprimus2 said:How would this laptop handle L4D?
Mar_ said:So after over 6 hours of playing yesterday, restarting from the beginning a billion times over and over again, my friends and I completed a chapter / movie whatever it's called without getting hit by a special zombie. We all jumped into the plane and waited for our achievement to unlock. But it didn't.
Is there any known bugs with this achievement? The only thing I can think of was that we were changing the difficulty at the start to kill Louis (CPU controlled character) then changing it back to easy. I wouldn't think that would affect it though...

Try getting 3 other friends together and try it again. Me and Red Scarlet literally spent over 50 hours trying to get that shitty achievement. Also, Blood Harvest is by the far the easiest map to get it on.
Here are some general tips:
1) Don't set the tank on fire. With four capable players, it should be pretty easy just shooting him dead before he does any real damage; lighting him up will just make him more dangerous as Tanks engulfed in flames run faster
2) Blood Harvest 2 crescendo makes the map a cake walk. Once you open the door, just bolt out of the room and run for the safe room. Don't be afraid to throw a molotov at your feet in case you're getting slapped to shit by zombies while trying to run for it.
3) You have exactly one second to get hunters off your teammates before they do damage. That's all the time in the world assuming you all know how to stick together.
4) Best place to hold out during the BH finale is the second floor of the barn. It literally renders all special infected absolutely useless. Even the tank should die before getting up there if you all have autoshotguns.
Varna said:Valve still has some killer exploits to patch up.
This happened on the last map of Blood Harvest I believe. Right at the beginning after the survivors exit the train a smoker standing in the corner, left from the tracks can immediately pull a survivor. When the survivors shoot the smoker the captured survivor will automatically fall down the cliff, killing him obviously.
Metalic Sand said:Thats extremely easy to stop. Atleast when i play on the 360 version most know of it.
Really if you already know of it then its not really possible for the smoker to get you since you leave the safehouse and are instantly looking over there and shooting = Problem solved and never to be pulled ever again.
Same can be said for the end of No mercy and the roof pulls somewhat since that is more random and theres a few spots up there for it. Really depends on the tactics of the other infected.

I'd be willing to give it a goDaigoro said:i need 3 people to help me with this on the 360.
Nothing Special. come on! who wants to step up to the plate?
I could have sworn you can assign the button within the in-game button config list, but I could be mistaken. Failing that, try something like "bind x toggleconsole", with no quotes on anything.Acidote said:Bump!

I'm trying to get the developer console as I did with other Valve games.
First of all I went to the keys configurations and set the "Enable developer console" on Enabled. After that I opened the config.cfg in the L4D folder and added bind "F12" "toggleconsole". I've tryed with other keys too just in case F12 was giving problems. As with other Valve games, I can't use the ~ key as I have a spanish keyboard and it seems to be different.
I've also tryed adding -console to a shortcut and it ain't work either. Any suggestions?
Thanks and sorry for my english.

If this is true we'll have to find a worthy fourth player...
