I'm not that excited for Crash Course. Maybe if it was 4 or 5 maps I would be, but 2 is just meh.

I'm sure it's disappointing for those looking forward to a new campaign for co-op or single player, but Crash Course is a direct result of feedback and requests for a shorter official campaign which is well suited for Versus. I'm really excited for it!

Sorry about jumping the gun...

I primarily play co-op and can't wait to play a campaign on expert that doesn't take hours to complete.

I get the feelings it more because they want to raise awareness for L4D2. So a month or two before it lands get everyone back into L4D with this content.

On a side note, it would be good in L4D2 if they put an option in there that allowed you to pick and choose which sections from any of the campaigns you wanted to play in versus and how many.

So you could set a game up that only had 3 sections, but from 3 different campaigns.

I play Versus only and I'm still disappointed :(

Do you have like unlimited time to play Versus or something? If that's the case, I can see that. I generally play with a group of friends, and we get people together for Versus on weekends. Because of the different time zones and stuff, we usually don't have a ton of hours to play together, so getting more matches in instead of spending 2 hours on a long campaign is pretty welcome imo.

Nah, I just make sure I have 2ish hours free before I play a VS game.

Depending on the random team distribution (it's pretty much always the same people playing), some of our versus games end REALLY quickly tho ;)
(and then we rebalance the teams and usually have a really fun and close versus game :lol )

I might be picking this up tomorrow are there still a lot of people playing on 360 or should i wait for L4D2?

Tons of people still play Left 4 Dead on 360. I think just this week it was ranked 7th in the top 10 most played games for last week.

New DLC after Crash Course apparently: (lol boycotters)

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/L4D2boycott/announcements/detail/90227168244139754

"Now for some good news: There is more DLC for Left 4 Dead coming after CrashCourse. We were given a rough idea of what it should be, however we were asked not to talk too much about it so it didn’t “influence the creative process”. I can tell you this: it’ll either be a new Special Infected, a new Campaign or new Weapon(s). It’s definitely one of the three, perhaps more. This is pretty much the only thing that we were asked not to talk about (remember, *asked* we didn’t sign anything). To that end, we’ll continue to bug Chet about this after Crash Course drops.
"
Would be cool if true and Valve releases it before apocalypse.

I thought for a minute this was going to be a Valve update and I was super impressed. Then I realized it was another fan campaign. :lol

To bad it looks like uninspired pieces of crap (bunch of assets thrown together, whole level parts copy pasted)

Has l4d implemented the revolutionary feature of dowloading maps inside the actual game yet, or does the game still ctrl-esc itself and let you donwload it manually?

Does anyone regularly do more than 2 versus games in a row, and if so, how the hell do you do it?!
We just did 3 in a row and we just got worse and worse, so that by the end, duckroll and myself agreed to just jump down the elevator shaft in no mercy to help us out of our misery...

We used to do like 4 to 5 in a row constantly when the game first came out :lol

We'd end up staying up till like 8 AM :lol

Anybody have any idea why I'm encountering this problem?

I have 2 friends on my list whom whenever they try to invite me into a L4D game it keeps saying cannot join session?

And for some reason if they ever start a game it says session not joinable, they are creating a friends only game for the original campaign levels. I have the GOTY edition if that makes any difference. They have the original version that came out last year

I just played L4D this afternoon with some other buddies and had no issues

Haven't had this problem with playing with these 2 friends in any other game.
