The best written film of all-time. Written.
Of course the acting and directing is no slouch either; Brad Pitt doesn't play himself like he does in nearly everything else. Bruce Willis' drugged out moment when he is in chains and heavily sedated is amazing. Time travel is one of, if not the most favorite topic of mine in movies. Perfection is close in this movie!
Scullibundo said:So who here is naming films that are indeed great but aren't necessarily their favourite? I found I was almost tempted to, but then thought what is the point? Then I saw a lot of other people's picks and I get the impression that it is the case with some.
Eg: I love love love On the Waterfront or The Conversation, but I wouldn't count either in my top 10 of favourite films.

I'm basically just using everything I have rated as a 10 imdb as a starting list of choices (there are only 15) because they are movies that I think truly show the potential of the medium or their genre, and also are personal favorites. I also am using some favorites from the 9's that I just think are great movies.Scullibundo said:So who here is naming films that are indeed great but aren't necessarily their favourite? I had to pick between the professional and the fifth element and it felt like i was carving out my own heart.Scullibundo said:So who here is naming films that are indeed great but aren't necessarily their favourite?
