Two new Interviews apparently. First one talks about Guile a lot (apparently changes have been made). Still reading through.

Also currently working on a painting of Ryu for art class. Will show GAF if you guys care to see once I'm done. There will be a painting of Ken in conjunction as well.

There's so much more to the game, of course, including new online modes (team battle, winner stays on, and replay support) as well as 24 brand new challenge trials for each character. The animes have been redone, but in truth they're still crap.

Bummer about the animes, but as long as they get all the rest, couldnt care less... sf is about the fighting, animes are kind of an afterthought...

It boggles the mind why they didn't just go with in-game scripted events just like the rival segments... I preferred those rival segments over the lame endings by a mile

is this something you say a lot or is it a saying from a street fighter game?

Obviously its a budgeting issue. Do you take the animators time away from improving the game/ polish/ bug fixing to make IGC's or do you outsource the cinematics so that your in-house people can focus on what they need to get done? Its an easy decision to make, really.
 
That Videogamer.com article has a number of things that are factually incorrect, just giving you guys a heads up before you get too excited about certain aspects of what they wrote.

Makes alot of sense, and i wonder if the guy just doesn't like Anime style in general or is someone else doing the in game anime whereas gonzo is doing the anime ova and the animation looked great to me.

I don't like the anime style because it clashes with the CG and the in game models of the characters

remember El Fuerte's small head on HUGE body in the anime ending of vanilla?

Yeah SFIV vanilla anime was pretty horrible, but the gonzo stuff looks good. :lol

I wish companies realized this. One thing I've noticed this gen is that most of the releases have seemed to go real heavy on the single-player fluff , almost like they're ashamed to be fighting games.

SF4 with its forced survival/time grinds was horrible- I hope they don't do that in Super.

Not really forced, but essential to unlock basic things like colours. I mean thank god now you just have to play a character a lot to unlock their colours.

Still waiting on confirmation of which alternate costume set is included in the game.

Anyways, I'm not ashamed or anything. It's just a fact that I'm not good enough to play well against you guys but I also didn't put in the time to get good... you know, 40 hours instead of 300 hours. I actually enjoy playing as Blanka but I'm going to try to actually get "good good" instead of just "good" this time. It will be fun!

Wait, what? Are they forcefully leaving stuff locked in the disk even AFTER revealing them? Are you serious Capcom? This is some Kotick level douchbagger. Nvm sorry for derail, didn't know that they are gonna charge extra for the costumes again for a re-release.

The fact that he was giddy about being able to link Guile's new ultra after his super made me question the attitude.
 
If OP could get a little update that would be cool :D . Just checked out some of the links from the last few pages and am kinda good with paying 40 bucks for the game. Thats awesome. Is the netcode that much improved?

Sagat does so little damage it makes me cry. Just look at how little he does to Guy and I'm jsut going to assume Guy has normal health? Imagine vs Zangief and others...yeesh..

Looks like his Level 3 FA does more damage than an uppercut. :lol

Sagat's and Guy's alt is in there too. Seth's stage is awesome btw, if I haven't said it four times already. Digging Sagat's headband.

Edit: Hell it's a lost cause but I might as well ask since GAF has lots of press people. If anyone in NYC area has a press copy of the game and would like a tournament level player or two to showcase/figure stuff out about the game for you (on whatever your terms are). I'm available :lol

Hes already an offensive powerhouse with ton of tools and hes supposed to have 1050 hp.S tier automatically and he might be as strong or stronger than Sagat in vanilla. :lol

Adon,despite being ultra buff is under average at 950 hp.Sagat will still be top 10 because of his solid tools,but he might be around 8-10 instead of top 5.If Adon is at 950,I think Ibuki is at 850 just like Akuma.

Notes from SRK:

Dudley is a beast, his DP is the most damaging (not more than Ken's ex) he has 1050 stamina, adon has 950, ibuki stun is 950, her stamina doesn't reach 1000
Juri: another beast, specially feng shui engine, 40% of lifebar ensured to go down if she catches you
Makoto not looking to good but crazy comebacks, looks mid-tier
SSF4 has no survival or time attack (at least in their version) it's more focused into online playing
New tittles are earned by playing online, and arcade, colors are gray, gold, (just like the old) blue for completing arcade on normal without continues, red for completing arcade on hardest
24 challenges(trials) per character, some are repeat, most are new, you can do bonus stages in challenge mode
Chun li ultra II is free, bla bla
Dee Jay, quite useless, but nice damage
IN-DES-TRUC-TI-BLE has DIED, dissappeared, gone! :(
some intros are just static images with the voice of the character speaking
timing for comboing ultras seems more strict

Chun-Li ex kicks + ultra 400
Not seeming to come to Arcades
Ryu srk fadc into ultra II hits, but not for the full animation and for less dmg than metsu hadoken


Hakan slide special attack (the 2 hits version, that one with you hitting the guy in the ground with a splash) does about 200 damage, and 220 if oiled up
More of hakan: if both opponents are on air, and hakan hits with his medium punch, he can land in the ground and do ultra 2, and the opponent will fall on him
shortcuts are still there
Akuma's 3rd alt looks like Nobunaga from Dynasty Warriors (lol)

It took 13-14 seconds since confirming the stage to start of fight.
I find it funny and sad at the same time. 10 years ago 3+ seconds was a crime, next gen fighters find it unreachable.

I don't play Sagat, but I was hoping that he'd get a more Thai-like alt, nice...

Man, I still really hate Ryu's new alt, moreso after seeing it in motion...

I like Fei's more after seeing it in motion on the contrary though, and Gouken's hat is really distracting like I thought it would be... :lol

Hakan's is still cool, Juri's looks even better, and Chun's is showing the thighs so I don't hate it as much anymore...

And it's weird that that really is the final menu screen with Ryu & Ken from the other video - especially with the art being so different, oh well...

Umm, did you see the damage on the uppercut? This isn't even about being a Sagat player, it's a fucking uppercut, it should punish jumper-jumpers hard for making dumb decisions. Its one thing to tone down damage like they did with Ryu, making it a two hit uppercut, FADCable only on first hit to scale back ultra damage, but Sagats damage is just embarrassing now. He's a slow characters with no footsies (less now) and now he cant even punish players for making stupid mistakes? Tell me how that makes sense..

And yeah they said his normals and links are better but why? Not like they have any frame data or anything. People will believe what they want to see when they are this excited about a game.

'Went back and watched the Sagat fight. That really is some shitty ass damage now. Does the 'scar' move take up ex stock?

Zangief and Sagat HP nerfs havent been confirmed,but I wouldnt be surprised if Sagat end up with 1050 hp and Gief 1150.It make no sense whatsoever for Dudley to have more hp than the king. :lol

You need frame data to tell easier links from harder ones? Guy clearly writes cr mp is easier to link. I know, you think it's placebo effect. I don't. We'll see later.

Damage on TU was pretty low, but the fucker deserved it. Then again, I remember it being higher in other vids, so it's possible that those dudes playing just set up a handicap.

It's funny how capcom seems to rank those things in terms of muscle mass. :lol

It's like they find in fine to be realistic in that regard: "Oh she's just a a teen girl, then she must have low health. Good!"

I think he's doubting it because it's written BY said guy. The dude opens up the article by saying capcom strayed from the temptation to nerf the top characters :lol :lol :lol I'm sure his word is good :lol :lol

SRK Damage changes:

Ryu - From 160-140-130 to 150-130-100 (Don't forget that the larger two are 2 hits too).

Cammy - 150-140-120 to 100 for all three (who even used medium or light anyway :p).

Sagat - 170-150-140 to 100 for all three (uhh...enjoy Angry Scar for 180 damage I guess? Sucks for him.)

Ken - no exact numbers, but LP DP is 120 now and his others will be 140-160.

Fei - the same, apparently

Akuma - 190-160-120 to 150-130-100

Edit: and Dudley's - 160-140-120. Oh snap.

If Google is translating correctly, Ibuki's DP does 160 as well.
