-shoryukens do less damage and less hits. [anti air only does 50 damage]
-cant trade shoryuken into ultra.
-shoryuken trades with meaties more often.
-srk FADC ultra 2 does very little damage.
-cant cancel fireball with super anymore. [cant super someone who neutral jumps a fireball]

Delicious.

What changes were made to Ken?

In awesome Dee Jay news, Alioune (the French dude who's been posting the SSFIV vids, including the Gief Ultra II scooping everything out of the air) posted on SRK that Dee Jay's Ultra II connects with full animation after an anti-air cr.HK, anywhere on the screen.

aaaand Dee Jay's anti-air slide that I've always hated makes it's return as an even bigger pain in the ass.

Who has the best preorder bonus for this?

Amazon has a costume code that I'd like but I doubt I'd get it on release day. Which is what I'd want.

That's the only one that doesn't make a lick of sense. Everything else is fine. Seriously, he's one of the most balanced characters in the game.

it's so that he can't punish neutral jumps or focuses from fullscreen, which is fine. it was absolutely stupid in vanilla sfiv and a well-deserved change. how can people complain about seth's boom/ultra trap but not this?

Best Buy also has a costume code if you're a member of Reward Zone/Gamer's Club (which I'm pretty sure should be free?), and you can preorder with in-store pickup.

better lp shoryu, better fireball, hk overhead is faster (i think)

rumor is that hp shoryu got more invincibility frames and you can link full ultra 1 after fadc, but we haven't gotten video confirmation.

I'm gonna get my ass beat hard when SSF4 drops. I've been cold turkey on SF4 since friggin' September. Timing will be off, from what I've read my main Gen was gimped and my wannabe 2nd main, Makoto, struggles as well. Fun times coming indeed. T. Hawk will be my redemption. Hopefully.
Same. I'm gonna get my ass handed to me

Yeah, that may be the way to go. Thanks.

I do love me some puppets. :D

Now if it were a puppet like they did for Lunar years ago I'd go for that.

I doubt they removed super canceling, most likely just the fact that you can't do super after your fireball fully recovers (but is still on the screen), same property as his ultra.

not quite..its still unsafe on block..im a big fan of the character..and while that is awesome news..its still pretty irritating seeing them nerf something that really didnt need to be ..especially when its a staple of his gameplay..but whatever..rolling with the punches and what not

the way it was said was that you could not have a normal/ex fireball on the screen at the same time as ryu's super fireball.

WHAT??!!? But I had an ex fireball on teh screen at the same time as my super ALL the time in vanilla!!!! Why would they take that away from me@!!!!

From what I've seen so far, it seems like Dudley's gonna have a hard time with strong footsie characters. I already now he's going to struggle with Chun, Bison, and Rog. I'm calling Rog to possibly be Dudley's worst match up.

its actually possible though, which is why im inclined to believe someone mashed it out in training mode and thought to include something so random.

Yeah, I don't know where the "no super and fireball on the screen at the same time" comes from, but what we learned from Ken Bogard's report is exactly what you're saying: you can no longer cancel your fireball's recover with the super. Start-up cancel is still possible, though.

i said d-pad. but to answer your question, map light punch to l1. when doing s.mk into hands with gen, panio with triangle, l1 and r1. its cake.

in the meantime, here's me and TKDK's. anyone whose ever played me can confirm that my execution is terrible:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj6iWwkwux0

this is the first time I've actually tried to do a TKDK on purpose. its easy enough, chickwing is harder. :lol

all im saying is that if i can do it, its easy. because im terrible. AND WHY DOES CAMMY HAVE LIKE 8 IDLE ANIMATIONS, STAY STILL DAMN IT.

Yes.

No.

:D

Yes, any motion is doable with practice on whatever control scheme you play on, but relatively speaking, learning TKCS (especially repeated instant dive kicks) on a d-pad requires much more effort than on a stick, where it's almost trivial.

She's just trying to stay warm.

EDIT: Just watched your video... FYI, EX instant dive kick is easy since you can just kind of roll a half circle up from down and hit 2 kicks. It's the non-EX TKCS that's difficult on pad because you have to only hit up-forward, and not trigger up or up-back at all after the QCB.

i see and feel no noticable difference between the two, nor do i see any reason why an extra kick input would change the required motions for a move.

it does seem easier to do both normal and ex on stick tho.

EX Cannon Strike is doable from a forward, neutral, or back jump. Regular Cannon Strike is only doable from a forward jump.

So, with instant EX dive kick, you can do a QCF and hit any up direction. Normal instant dive kick requires more precision, because you have to do a QCF and then hit only up-forward or you'll just get a jump neutral or jump back normal instead of a dive kick.

yeah, player 2's theme plays when arranged music is selected

it's bizarre that it is always player two,
they should have made it for the Challenger's theme so it can switch form 1P to 2

ex... if player 1 is on a win streak, than if player 2 jumps in, then it should be player two's theme

when player 1 loses, when he re-challenges, then it should be his theme

this thing of keeping it stuck to player two really sucks.. I don't want to hear endless Ryu themes for hours on end

Blazblue does this also. Makes me really sick of Hakumen's theme now.

That's because it was an unfair advantage for you - just you - that's why they took it away. :D

Won't be surprised - his footsie game is pretty weak.

Even fireball characters won't have any trouble as long as they play smart with footsie and fireballs.

Of all the new cast, it seems only Hawk and Dee Jay has decent to good footsies.

Is it just me, or does it seem Cody will be raped ass raw by grapplers in Super?
He doesn't seem to have any get out moves besides EX-zonk which on block is like pointing a gun on your head and asking your opponent to pull the trigger.

Nope, I figure that he's gonna have to play annoying with rocks, but that will only get you so far with Focus Attacks absorbing them - and T. Hawk can close the distance like no one's business, especially since EX Condor Spire goes through projectiles...

He's be fine with everyone else though, I mean, he's gotta have some bad match-ups... :)

And those poster ads are cool as hell...
