I just saw a scan on N4G of a leaked Famistu scan of Capcon vs SNK 3. April fool's joke?

Edit: it's a joke. -_-

Yeah its joke. Arcana hearts vs. BB was another one floating around. I trust nothing until the week is over. :lol

i hate that they were too lazy to include new character artwork for the game.

sloppy.
especially since they redid everyones art in the pencil style, why not use that.

Kinda glad they didn't change Sagats art, to be honest. His character select art is awesome. Ryu and Sagats character select art are slightly different from the arcade version if you look closely.

Quite a few are different from the arcade version, including Ken's and Viper's (both fugly on the cab).

Sagat's is indeed badass. Really liking the new ones too.

So the last time I played Street Fighter was years ago (Alpha 3, I think). Is this going to be easy to get into, because I dont understand half of this thread? Also should I play the normal Street Fighter 4?

I had a dream last night they retconned Street Fighter 3 Third Strike so that it fits with the storyline after SF IV and the released it on PSN/XBLA... It was in HD and it looked awesome while playing it online as it used GPPO...

Super is out in less than a month, so unless you're seriously itching to play, I would just suggest that you wait. Maybe look up some basic tutorials on youtube.

For 40 bucks in 26 days you can't really go wrong. If you play it online with buddies on the team mode I'm sure you can find yourself having fun with it even if you are far from a pro. If you have the itch to get crazy good or something, then you'll need a lot of time, a lot of practice, and will need to buy an arcade stick.

Honestly though just pick up Super later this month and spend a good while with it to see where you want to go with it. Just keep in mind you ARE going to get beat silly when you first get the game more often then you win. You might go 1 win to 10 losses for a good while, but as long as you are practicing and learning what the other guy is doing to kick your butt so much you'll get better.

Even if you never go above casual on it you should still be able to have fun with it playing friends online or locally. :)

Is Super definitely NOT coming for PC? Please, does someone know?

Capcom has made no announcements for it. If it DOES it will be many months from now. Heck they haven't even announced an arcade version, but people THINK they will at the SF4 tournament in 3 days. If you planned to play Super then why not just get it now for a console you own and if a PC version comes a few months from now get that too. Since it is 40 bucks then I think the PC version will be either 40 itself or less so that's a pretty solid deal.

In awesome Dee Jay news, Alioune (the French dude who's been posting the SSFIV vids, including the Gief Ultra II scooping everything out of the air) posted on SRK that Dee Jay's Ultra II connects with full animation after an anti-air cr.HK, anywhere on the screen.

I have a feeling that I read this weeks ago somewhere, but glad to see it right now - looks like it's even more viable aside from how cool it looks... :)

Niiiiiiice! Although setting it up could be challenging....

I don't think it would be that hard, throw a sonic boom, if they jump over it, anti-air cr.HK, ultra 2.

There was mention of a PC port of SSF4 in a 'leak' thread that was recently deleted in the fighting game forum of Shoryuken.com. The leaker (Henaki/kensk) said that it's coming but that it won't be announced 'for a while'. Apparently, this person was previously banned from the site for leaking information about SS4. Just a heads up for those of you who are considering blowing a few hundred bucks on a console just for SSF4. I'd hate to see anyone throw their money away without at least waiting a couple months for an announcement.

yup, then it trades cause cr.hk is a sliding sweep with a most likely crappy hitbox. Having said that I am sure a lot of people will fall for any random setups when the game first gets released.

If you're allowed to say it has a bad hitbox then I'm allowed to say "maybe it combos off a trade" =P.

Not really surprised. This has been happening for a while (leaks getting deleted or punished, basically confirming their reality). Happened with Hakan and The Leaker.

Oh, sweet! Will it be the same as vanilla?
no, I think there are eight contestants that play at one set time and the brackets are handled in-game like a realtime online tourney

i'll need to verify that though.

It's one of the few things keeping me sane until I can play this god-damned game.
Seeing the countdown every time makes me sad, since I live in Europe.

Just came back from the Gen thread on SRK. Apparently they raped him so bad I'll be the only one left playing him :lol

I am officially double dipping for both PS3 and 360, two different groupd of friends on two different consoles ...... fuuuuuuuckkkk

-The PS3 is going to be my main hub of unlocking, trophy whoring and local vs play
-The 360 will be mostly used just for Live online (not caring about unlocks in this one)

How many extra days do you have to wait? 3?

@gutter_trash: I'm right there with you man. Double-dipping for different friends haha
and nice tag, too LOL

I wonder why instead of changing his damage, buffing his health, or changing priority of some of his moves, Capcom decides to totally remake Gen.

Super Gen seems to play so much differently than vanilla Gen - definitely much more turtley now that his short hops are gone.
And just because of losing that short hop, the way he was played before cannot be replicated whatsoever for the super incarnation.

Gen had such a cool playstyle in vanilla - why oh why did Capcom decide to change that awesome playstyle?

You could do that in HDR. After about two weeks people didn't use it much anymore.

The lobbies were a good idea, but all these extra online modes are going to end up rarely used gimmicks after a couple weeks to a month.

You'll end up with ranked matches and lobbies being the only things used.

SF4 PC got play. The problem was most of the play wasn't American- though surprisingly the netcode was less laggy on the PC then consoles even given the distance.

he was a bit of a one trick pony. it was awesome to watch Gen in the beginning but, nowadays its just boring.

i have'nt seen that must gen action from the SSf4 preview vids so far so i cant say if he's more varied now.

Lobbies are a god send for this game...finally I can play SF4 with all my SF friends and my brother in one 'room' where we can all get enjoyment from the game at the same time.
