What kind of innovations is this game bringing to the genre?
How do you know its real time?
Sony should trademark that. "Real time CG".
Let me watch these 5 second gifs and to count all the innovations in them.

it's cg in real time.
The fuck
How do you know its real time?
Ready at Dawn said:Our game models and our cinematic models are one and the same, and everything is rendered real time in the engine as you play the game. The trailer we presented is a great example of that. What you saw is running in-engine, in-game with no gimmicks. These visuals are what you can expect of the final game when you play it.
But people aren't going nuts over a GIF, they're going nuts over the promise of direct feed gameplay footage tomorrow after waiting months for it.
It's like....if Scarlett Johansson was releasing a 1080p porno tomorrow and a 3 second gif of her in some lingerie got leaked on the internet. I wouldn't exactly be complaining about her being dressed.
How do you know its real time?
You know it's single player right? You could still 'play together' of course, taking turns, so maybe you know.
single-player only.
Wish it did have co-op or multiplayer though.
Yes. I just feel like the majority of third person cover shooters just have no thought put behind the level design. It's basically 50 rectangular or square rooms with waist high cover thrown wherever the fuck cause it really doesn't matter.
It's been boring since the beginning of cover based shooters. What developers should be aiming for is making something similar to the multiplayer in the first gears of war. That shit was hot and hasn't been replicated since.
I meant, from what we know so far?
Because they've said time and time again that everything uses real-time assets, including cutscenes. There are no "cutscene graphics" and "gameplay graphics".
Well holy hell. They said it's the entire game, no gimmicks. I'm not sure how much wiggle room they have when they say that
Why do some pictures look blurry or some weird filter. I thought this was an exclusive?
Looks like any other linear corridor shooter
Yeah, I get that. It's a shame that it has some blemishes but this is a bit like inFamous to me, I wont be satisfied until I see it nice, crisp and 1080p on my television screen. I just found it odd there were so many posts about a bad row when the rest were gorgeous.Hmm... that was the wrong thing to say, and not exactly what I meant, now that I think of it. I guess it's just easier to notice the gross stuff when everything else looks so good.
It's probably a counter response to people going nuts with excitement over a gif that shows cover shooting and QTEs. It would be pretty sad if this 'NEXT GEN' game revolves around 2 pretty lame/boring/uninspired gameplay mechanics. It's like AAA developers have 2 options these days: make FPS, make 3rd person cover shooter.
A counter response to people getting excited. I don't even....
I bet RAD is so grateful to not be relegated to handheld dev.
Including you of course.

Guess people have different reactions to the hype train, you either dislike the unrelenting praise of an initial reveal or you hop straight on.

I don't even know what this post means.
The gif is shaking, what purpose? copyright protection?
The GIF can't handle its own hype.

Yeah, I'm not sure, either.
