Score: 70/100
10 years. damn.
That is a genre man, cinematic more story driven games. It's one of my favorite genres and I really enjoyed this game as well.It isn't another genre, though. It's a third-person shooter. A very short, linear, story-driven, QTE-filled third-person shooter.
Everyone feels so bad at those kotaku pizza stories. But in reality it seems like everyone really likes the idea of game companies failing and closing, no second chances. Just goodbye.
Really cruel in that sense.
Does Sony own The Order IP?
Let me ask you this....is the game out yet? If the game is not out yet, just how reliable are these "impressions"?
Gaming sites shouldn't really count, plenty of conflict of interests with them . I do see your point for the most part though.
Wait for real?
Wow Sony is not happy with the negativity this game is getting if true.
Good choice, both are fantastic.Thats it... Buying mh4 and majoras for 3ds. Thanks for this post.
I just wonder why Sony didn't use all that time and resources to release a game like The Last Guardian that will have more impact in the community.
Yes, because as I said within the same post about the way scales are viewed nowadays, with anything below a 70 being worthless to many, it does seem sensational.
The gameplay?
Most reviews seem to agree that the presentation in terms of both graphics and audio are amazing.
It's almost everything else that most of them didn't like
All these reviews pretty much confirming my worries. I feel like this will be like the time I got super duper hyped up about the Bouncer for PS2
Gameplay? It's playable no?
Is it broken? No.
David cage games are not good on this point but reviews are not that bad.
Even ryse reviews weren't that bad.
I Cleary don't get it.
Literally no game has ever looked this good. It’s strange to even write that, but The Order: 1886 raises the bar so far above its contemporaries that it stands in a class by itself. Joined by a soundtrack that perfects the mood, The Order is a cinematic masterpiece. If you want to show off your PlayStation 4 to your friends, this is the title to showcase.
Made another GIF to sum up the reviews.

No glitches were encountered and its polished to the point that its lost most of its character.
Lol is this a real sentence?
This brings up an interesting point: if the game dropped the TPS all-together and focused on a more branching story a la TellTale would it have gotten a better reception?
I checked it 10 minutes ago and it said it was suspended. I don't know much about how the inner workings of Twitter goes, but maybe the account owner deactivated themselves or maybe I typed in the wrong username.
I can't speak for other people, but I am happy that The Order got bad reviews because I don't wanna see a game like this ever being made again. A game should be about gameplay. It seems like RAD are more interested in making a CG movie than a game. I read one of the interviews in which they would go for days making environments without adding any gameplay and sometimes forget they were making a game instead of a movie. In the same interview, they also said the studio was all about making a movie or similar things. As far as I am concerned, RAD deserves all the criticisms that's coming at them.

It's based on all kinds of false premises. A) That the money would have been used on games B) That the games would have been good C) That the games would have been worthwhile ventures financially, etc.

There’s not a single time where the sun peeks itself out or a beautiful backdrop is witnessed.

yes I am making my decisions based on other's impressions, it's a very common thing to do.
It'd be more interesting that 1886 for sure.
Lol?worked for mgs4
But you have not played the game. Would you be equally upset if the scores were all 90's or are you just upset that the review scores aren't validating your interest in the game?
A 2.4:1 aspect ratio is common in film, and it does make movies feel more cinematic. It is part of that mediums common artistic language.
But the 2.4:1 aspect is not common to games. We dont go to movie theaters to play the latest Metal Gear Solid. We use 16:9 televisions, and developers have delivered perfectly filmic experiences with that before.
Instead, whats likely happening here is that the PS4 couldnt handle The Orders eye-shattering visuals running at a full 1,920 by 1,080 pixels while maintaining a reasonable framerate. Cutting off nearly a quarter of the image helps with that. - Venturebeat
Lol.
That's becuase the ways in which Uncharted is cinematic is very different from the ways in which The Order is. Uncharted is cinematic because it looks like you're playing a movie, The Order is cinematic because half the time you are watching a movie.
I don't get this. There's a ton of games from the PS2 era that shits on everything that comes out today. They should found another way to make their point.
