The Order: 1886 screenshots

As much as I think the game looks incredible, these poligonal edges are really distracting and ugly

Whilst this may be nitpicking of a high order, I'm a slight perfectionist, more so given the dawn of this new generation. So yes, RAD, please fix this lol.

I hope they work on fixing the gameplay rather than worrying about a minuscule sharp edge on his jacket. Good god.

Dammit. The game IS delayed. But it's got tonnes of interesting or downright crazy, awesome stuff we've yet to see, is shaping up fantastically well, and the delay should aid towards improving the game even more, so it's not all bad.

Early 2015 is the word at the moment, so not much of a delay either way.

My source is Shinobi before you ask.

They only have to fix it if there is something wrong with it. There is not enough gameplay footage to conclude anything.

People are abusing the word "generic" to mean "bland", when it simply means "characteristic of a group of things".

A generic TPS has the properties of the genre, such as a third-person over-the-shoulder camera view, and an focus on shooting things.

He is still with us in spirit, using us mortals as conduits of his word.

Good to know! Two weeks till E3 blowout!

There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that Fall 2014 was just placeholder. I tend to remain highly skeptical until we've received an actual release date, which as far as I know, was never given.

What's Shinobi's track record on this kind of thing? With the likes of Dualshockers making a story out of every gaming-related Twitter post in existence at this point, it's hard to tell who's legitimate, who used to be legitimate but let low level forum fame go to their head, and who never knew a damn thing.

Fucking hell...... ah well... polish it up RAD. I'm sure they can make the game look even better.

That is going to be so disappointing to hear when it's finally confirmed. I sure hope Sony's got one big surprise game coming this fall.

His track record is pretty solid imo, otherwise I wouldn't care to post the info.

Anyway, as long as it gets extra polish, a short delay is all good by me.

Hopefully we get a high-bitrate video, look at all the hq screencaps:

We need a 1gb+ size video.

I can't believe the game manages to look better than this lol. Completely bonkers

Really worried/depressed about this year's exclusive lineup if The Order is indeed delayed. It already was pretty barren.

I agree. The issue is not the delay of the Order itself, but that Sony seemingly doesn't have much else lined up exclusives wise for Fall, at least that we know about anyway, aside from Deep Down.

Perhaps they're relying on comfortable third party multiplatform shoulders a bit too much? Makes me think a huge focus of their E3 presser in a few weeks will just be games like Destiny and Assassin's Creed Unity.

Look at how many solid titles they release last year, first party production have cool downs time!
It not like they cancel all those project and release them on PS4 instead. Who would do something like that?

SMH.

Excluding third party titles the only thing that's left is DriveClub.

Horrific.

And why should PS4 owners care that the PS3 had a lot of exclusive games last year? When you sell people a new console their first concern is going to be exclusive games for that new platform.

IF Driveclub is their only first party release this fall they're going to get a lot shit, and rightfully so. The Wii U will have more exclusives than that this fall.

I wonder what Sony would have if Driveclub didn't get delayed a whole year, too.

Even more disappointing is that a new IP released in the first holiday of a console's lifespan usually becomes a huge franchise. Look at Gears and Uncharted.

Sony would be foolish to miss out on that.

I do think yosp has done a poor job. He seems to lack the management skills required to perform. I also think whoever is in the marketing team within Sony needs to be told to buck up or leave. It is atrocious how they can allow these random 10 second poor quality videos of Drive club and order etc get released like this.

That's not true...PS4 will be in high demand this fall regardless of their first party titles.

Hey, it sucks, but that just means 2015 is poised to be awesome.

Shu kind of fucked up by releasing so many late gen PS3 titles.

I'll be honest, I'm not too fussed about whether the exclusive is first or third party, that shouldn't make a difference, just that there are some exclusives. I mean, I'm sure Xbox fans don't care that Sunset Overdrive isn't a Microsoft first party game.

Anyway, will be interesting to see if there is anything yet to be announced exclusives wise for the rest of the year. Right now it's looking like Last of Us Remastered, DriveClub, Deep Down and a bunch of indies (Galak-Z, Witness, Hohokum etc etc). On the major games front, not a lot exclusives wise.

Who was it the other day on Twitter that said the biggest theme of E3 was delays? I get the feeling Quantum Break will miss release, and maybe even Forza Horizon 2 as well. Maybe even a third party game or two. I guess we'll see.

There's also Singstar PS4 that's releasing at year end, though we don't know if its a late fall or early Winter release.

It is also entirely possible that the Driveclub delay to Fall is due to them needing to buffer up the empty space left by The Order. Obviously tales from the ass,but definitely they would had known in the past 2 months if the game was going to ship this year or the next.

About the marketing, you're not the only one who feels that way.. This twitch video, what the hell. I honestly think at times Sony would do better to just hire one of us to call the marketing moves. We live and breath this world. Sometimes it feels like Sony's marketing team instead live in some alternative dimension.

Anyway, I need to sleep lol. GAF keeping me up!

Yep, that's it. Absolutely nothing else coming out for the PS4 this year.

It's not like the competition has that much more.

Surpsingly similar actually. Halo Remake and Sunset Overdrive being the big ones. Be interesting to see if Quantum Break and Forza Horizon 2 make the cut for this year.

It's wishful thinking that the market would react to a lack of first party content. A new Assassin's Creed, CoD, FIFA, Madden will come out this fall and console sales will be boosted.

in terms on perception, fanboys and overall allot of gamer that follow sites like ign, basically associate their console of your to the first party games you have, even if they dont buy those exact games.

Where's this delay rumor coming from? Source? It's like people are just throwing it out there to see if it'll stick.
