The Pit of WoW

I should know; I play a clothwearer who quests in Shattered Hand's Ashenvale in the mornings. >_<

:lol

I loooooooove cloth wearers, especially since I'm undead so warlocks and priests have no fear over me ;)

To me a combat rogue was a lot better during the middle levels 30-50.

But now at lvl 55 with assassination rogue, I get 4 bubbles from a single ambush, and 3 from a sinister strike..... coupled with cold blood and preparation when I get to 60... it'll be damn evil.

Cheapshot, Hemorage, Sinister strike, 5 points cold blood eviscerate, Blind. Vanish, Cheapshot, gouge, wait for energy, sinister strike, 5 points eviscerate, preparation and do the whole thing over again. Permanent stun lock, there's no better in PvP ;)

In this case, I am the Undead, but NE Rogues rove in packs at that time of day. Fights inevitably involve me being the crux of their offensive strategy, my focus healing myself and fearing them away until by groupmates can kill one, then another, then finish off the dotted third. Fun shit, but an half hour quest turns into 2 hours in the time of day I'm supposed to be leveling for the raiding during prime time! :lol

Ferrio, is that a screen of The Dark Portal? If so where exactly is it located?

Horde rocks. Alliance is for roleplay fruits, NE swishes, and everything else that's unmanly in videogaming.

This man speaks the truth.

Just did Zul'Farrak tonight, man what a rush. There is one event in there where you literally have to mow down over 100 mobs and 3 bosses. It was absolutely insane.

Extra props for the giant boss lizard Gahz'rilla.

Blasted Lands. It's pretty easy to see if you can survive through the zone... My guess is Ferrio went in as a ghost because there's like no way you could get that close alive.

Its all about vanish, and dagger abilities muhaha, and initiative. 2 combo points 75% of the time with ambush, backstab, garote. oh yes yum

Says you, I stealthed by.

Ambush followed by a sinister strike, wait, gouge, followed by backstab is the GOAT. If you've got points in initiative, then by that time, chances are you've got 5 combo points and can lay out a nice Eviscerate -- BAM. More damage given, less taken.

This is not true for most of the exp gaining game. Outside of the early first 25ish levels. After that you should respec combat rogue until you can get into some good instance/guild groups for the 1337 daggers. Then respec back to Opp/imp bs/ambu, lethality

so you stealthed by level 60+ elites all around the area? or did they take those out? it used to be so packed with enemies and even had a 62 elite infernal standing right in front of the portal that could see ghosts.

The skeleton rock concert in RFD is awesome.

I particulary love (if you has cosmos you'll see) that there are two bosses in RFD labeled Boss (like faction leaders are in major cities) with a level over 500. But they they are not level 500. Either blizzard doesn't want you to know their level when you attack them or they were playing a prank on poeple with cosmos and other UI enchancements.

Nope they're still there, and I stealthed by them. As for the infernal, didn't see one at the porta.

FINALLY completed that stupid Tarren Mill Wanted Quest for the Cowl and Bow. With Drinky's help and another shaman we managed to kill the 4 people. What a dumb trial. But now I look more thiefy. Oh, and god bless the Vanish

New chest plate too. Better, but obviously covers less :p.

I guess they took that out, then. heh, it used to be a screenshot of the day, somebody's ghost staring at that infernal blocking the dark portal.

My god there's a ton of undead. D:

I just got the game around Christmas so I'm still only at lvl 23, but I'm a Paladin. : )

You know, if Pallys still could use Sense Undead on actual players like they could in the Beta, you fuckers would be slaughtered. >: )

I'm a Dwarven Priest spec'd in Holy on the Elune server. If anyone plays on that sever give me a tell and I'll be more than happy to help out.

I look silly not being color coordinated but damn are Dwarves badass. My next character is definitely being a Tauren of some sort. A Tauren with a cowboy hat and a blunderbuss.

Nothing is in there, it's just a texture you walk right through it.

Too bad.

Sounds like your Rogue build is similiar to mine, Ferrio. Main things I'm going for are seal of fate (which I have) and preparation (at 60).

Ps. Rogues are too much fun. ^w^

Pps. Blasted lands isn't too bad to run around with a horse. Just watch for those charging boars ... they are FAST.

Going to see if this works... I went on a raid with the guild I'm in into elf territory after a bunch of alliance people kept attacking razor hill, and we (6 people) killed the ancient of war in darnassus twice.

I disabled the UI for the pic so it would be clearer, but I'm level 46 (and was at the time of the screenshot) so really what I did (along with the other people who weren't 60, which would be all but 2 of us) was keep an eye out for anyone who tried to pick us off while we were occupied with killing the ancient of war.

Incidentally, have any beta players noticed a big performance bump in the final? I used to play in 1024 just to get it running properly and still get framerates at 30-45 (with glow), depending on the current patch. Now I play 1600 and get pretty much solid 60 all the time.

STAY AWAY FROM OUR ANCIENT!
haha, it was really sad seeing the "defense" the alliance put up. sure, we did get some people who were comparable levels to come in and fight us (like a half hour after trashing darnassus and the night elf level 6-10 town), but for the most part it was 4-5 alliance around our level hiding behind the insane spawnage of level 55 guards (which is ridiculously beyond what the horde gets, even in their capital cities), and some people level 7-15ish helping out the higher levels. They wound up hiding in town behind the insane spawn of guards (there were at times literally 10 or more level 55 guards on us at once) because, instead of organizing and facing us as a group, they'd try to sneak out and pick us off individually... which didn't work out well, they'd just get isolated and pasted.

This was all done in retaliation for a massive zerging of one alliance guild on razor hill, btw, so it wasn't unprovoked. Though once I get my infernal spell, I'll be casting it near goldshire npcs to make up for the constant attacking they do on crossroads, splintertree post, tarren mill, and razor hill.

meanwhile, the alliance had to get 15ish people to try and attack tarren mill a few hours later, because they just don't seem to bother with any kind of organization or tactics. we didn't do anything spectacular; we just coordinated our efforts and stayed together. if we'd had 20 people at level 60, we literally could have destroyed the night elf newbie town. I simply do not understand why the alliance never seems to actually coordinate their attacks on any of the servers I play on.

I should have taken screenshots of jaina proudmoore fireballing me a few weeks ago too... that was fun. all the special heroes of each race are beyond uber, and jaina hit me with 2 fireballs for 1500ish and 1800ish damage, respectively (naturally, I died after the second one). I remember in closed beta, a bunch of alliance tried to get to Thrall in orgrimmar after we organized a very large raid on stormwind (which would have worked except for the absolute bullshit the archbishop does, aka summoning literally 30 guards at once in the middle of the cathedral) and only one person managed to do so by corpse flopping (for those who don't know, that means they kept dying and rezzing at max range, then rushing in further with each death), only to get in Thrall's face and get one-hit-killed for something like 1600 melee damage.

Nice to hear that the NPCs have been buffed up. Maybe they should actively take part in battles, if say, more than 10 players of their level stay for more than ten minutes in the area.

Then again it would ruin the game even more for newbies who need those characters to talk to.

I just got the game last night, level 2 Orc Hunter. If I play as much as I want to play, I will be level 30 by tomorrow morning. I am on the server with Tre, MAF, and Drinky. MrBob joined me.

Okay, that's it. Making my... hm, what do you guys need in a group? It CK is a Hunter, you have two rogues and a priest. I'm thinking Shaman, Mage or Warlock. Even a Tauren druid might be good.

to be fair, the spawnage in XR is insane... seriously... in no time you'll see a horde (no pun intended) of like 20 guards spawn up and run into the alliance scum.... add into that the 40-80 horde PCs in the area and the alliance on bloodhoof has NEVER taken over XR... hammerfall on the other hand... whoa... not good... that thing goes down quicker than boxer with asthma....

I'm getting the game today after lunch. I'm gonna be either a Tauren warrior or Tauren Shaman. To the plains of central Kalimdor, here I come!

wow, it's actually the exact opposite on mine with XR and hammerfall. the main thing I find, though, is that horde NPCs call for guards once... alliance NPCs repeatedly spam to call for guards, which leads to the massive swarms.

they actually just made a post on their boards... don't expect anymore copies for at least a week or two... they want to try and stablize the servers more first. on the plus side, there is a HUGE maintenance going on Thursday for 16 hours (0400-2000PST).. I would assume that some serious patches and/or hardware will be going in then that would take care of the server issues.

Crossroads is shit.I tap dance through that place all the time.Guards are pathetic. It is fun though once some higher lvls show up.Although the horde picks on astranaar too much, which even though it is the same lvl as crossroads,it's way to much of a pain to get out there to protect it.

oh yeah Son,using his essence is funny, but there is a quest to rescue him.Unfortunately, the quest doesn't seem to be finished, because once you turn in his essence and go to the next guy, there's no continuation quest.
