So yeah, LAST EPISODE??? JOKES????
I was about to bust out a few choked-back tears during those thanks yous, but I figured that might be pushing it.Scotch said:I'll be honest, for a moment there during Phil's thank yous I wasn't sure if you guys were joking anymore.![]()
Congratulations on 250 episodes and Phil's baby!
Man, I love cereal. I could have spent the entire episode reminiscing about old cereals that I used to eat.jyoung188 said:Congrats Phil!
And fuck yeah, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Fruity Pebbles are the two best cereals.
Another great episode.
We knew that the Wii Virtual Console features import games. What we were trying to remember was if any of them were published by Nintendo. Of course, I have no excuse for why none of use could remember SMB2J or Sin and Punishment (especially since I own both of them on VC).nckillthegrimace said:Nice to hear the old and superior intro music again. I have a correction because I'm a huge nerd: the Wii's virtual console does indeed have import games like Super Mario Bros. 2 (JP version), Sin and Punishment, and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood.
Oh yeah, good job with the baby and the 250 episodes or whatever.

Also, Congrats Phil!

And I admit, you guys did have me uneasy about the 'final'. I didn't think you would do a final episode without a retrospective, but the way the episode went, it left me thinking.
And then I thought one day, this WILL have to be over. And that honestly saddened me a bit and I had to go lie down. Seriously, you guys are my favourite podcast, and it will be a loss to me when you guys do end it.
It's a testament that I listen to it and I don't even play console games.

Don't feel too embarrassed. If you tossed your SF2 review text in an old EGM template, I wouldn't have second guessed that it was authentic. Although were are actually more restrained in handing out exclamation points than EGM was.SuperPac said:Oh yeah, very embarrassing now for sure. But then, the examples of gaming journalism that I held in high esteem at the time weren't exactly the new york review of books.
And I was only 13 or 14 at the time.![]()
