So, as it seems the info went a little unoticed the first time, i'm giving extra time to the FZero print, for those interested :

One week more, until Wednesday the 10th of July.

I would REALLY like a MGS print, but would be open to other things. I feel like Nintendo is really well represented anyway so I wouldn't mind going beyond them unless it was something niche like Earthbound.

I think a Gabz MGS would be pretty stunning -- imagine something along the lines of his Pacific Rim piece, but with REX instead -- but I suppose that's moot if he doesn't want to do it. Did we find out if Ortiz would be open to MGS?

I don't think he has replied yet although Listerfeend is on vacation this week I think? He was waiting on a response from Mr Ortiz. After seeing Gabz Predator print I'm convinced he could do a MGS print hands down but he just have never played it. You never know he may check it out over the next month or two and change his mind.

Ok another update on the commission Joshua Budich got back to me he is interested and loves MGS. He said he actually has been thinking about doing a piece on it so this might be good. He is tied up till about October with other work but should have time toward the end of the year. I have asked him about cost and printing because most artists have companies they work with frequently so we may not have to do that part. I'll post that when I have a answer along with the other guys so we have everything in one place. Here is some art he has done and his site.

Well I'm asking you guys so if that's the majority response then that's fine I'm just asking as many artists as possible and reporting back. I personally would like to use Gabz.

Can I ask what's wrong with Budich? His Scorsese piece is fantastic and that Life Aquatic looks nice. Do you guys just not like his style?

Aside from the obvious Stout comparison, his facial recreations are super hit and miss. The shading on a lot of his stuff is pretty off putting too. The faces in the pieces posted look fine, but look at some of his recent stuff, like the Blade Runner piece where most everyone looks like they either have a mental illness or their face is 20% too small for their head.

Also, dat composition with one big object in the middle, two larger heads on the sides behind it with a bunch of tiny people up front.

lol well no Budich then no problem. I'd be more than happy to take suggestions unless you guys want to wait for Ortiz, Gabz or Florey? Stout and Moss are probably safe to say are out I don't think either has the time and Stout never replied. Anyone?

I'd recommend New Flesh or Zac Gorman. I think everyone knows Gorman and New Flesh hasn't completely blown up yet, but he may be busy because I know a lot of people were asking for commissions earlier this year from him.

I mean I'd like to do it at some point, time-willing. I don't think I'd want to do a commission though. Because that's a lot of expectation. I'd rather just do it for free. But it's a time thing, and a "whether-or-not-I-have-a-good-idea" thing.

Thanks for the update Olly! And https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfVadGoyBz8

Hopefully one day we'll get to see this awesome MGS print from you!

I'm sure your ideas would be fantastic when you decide to do it you have all of our money.

That Rosso print is awesome no print buying for me for a few weeks but if it's available then I'll grab it. Some great stuff from this show.

I've been on vacation this whole week, but Ortiz replied to my email a couple days ago.

Man I loved MGS, especially the first for PS1. I remember going through the game to get either the ammo bandana or the stealth suit. Shit was so fun.
I don't think it's a good fit for me stylistically, though. I'm not really into drawing mechs and guns. I'm more suited for gory shit like Resident Evil or Silent Hill. I'd totally be down for either of those, or something similar. What do you think?

I definitely agree that MGS doesn't suit his style that well, anyone really into RE? I'd imagine he'd slay something like that...

Otherwise I'd vote for Gabz or NE.

If Olly eventually wants to do a MGS one day (non commissioned), should we choose another subject then? Just a thought.

I like Ortiz stuff but I'm not sure I'd hang it on my wall. I guess it depends on how gory it gets I don't want to give my daughter nightmares. But if the majority are down for that I'd say we can go for it and see how it turns out I can always keep it off the wall in storage.

Ortiz does some great stuff, and he would be awesome for a RE print, but I'm with you. I'd rather have something more tame to hang up.

That's crazy they didn't flat out say no. Didn't even think Tyler did commissions.

Well I guess we'll just have to get Ashley Wood to make us an MGS print :p

I think he's moved on from MGS, though if you want some MGS porn maybe he could help you out.

Ortiz Silent Hill or RE would be amazing, but as many have noted, probably not too family friendly. N.E. would be cool as well.

So New Flesh got back to us here is what he said.

New Flesh said:
Hi Nathan,
Thanks for your interest man! While I love doing commissions for all sorts of projects, I am not the best choice for this one. I am a total noob when it comes to video games. I know that it is terrible, I don't even have a console.
Fortunately, there are tons of artist out there that are gamers that will hit this out of the park for you. Good luck!

Best,
NE

Sounds like we could do a movie and he might consider it. You guys want to switch gears and do a favorite 80's movie or something? That's just a example we would have to narrow things down if we did movies.

I really like the idea of a Gabz MGS.
My other choice of artist for a MGS would be 4 poster Stout set (like starwars) for MGS1-4 but I am a 100% sure that's not happening XD

Just thinking this morning after watching the GTAV new trailer, how about a GTA print? We could pick a game or try and do the whole series. Vice City would be a great one to do but all of them have memorable characters.
