Got my Stout Shaun of the Dead today, my wife took one look and said nope your not hanging that up. She thinks it's creepy and doesn't want my daughter to see it. lol I can't say I disagree I guess don't want the little one freaking out later on. That's what I'm hoping for.
Got my blindbox a little while ago. Ico, Link, Starfox, Snake in a Box (yay!), Snake(yay!), and Master Chief. Aerith was too much to hope for. Oh well. I really have zero interest in Master Chief but I'd like to have 6 to frame so if anyone is interested in trading for the Master Chief I'm really hoping to get an Ellie & Joel. Please PM me if you have one you're not interested in keeping.
It won't get better in the upcoming months either in terms of new movie releases.
For October we'll probably see a flux of horror movies and if we're lucky, Gravity.
For November we can expect Ender's Game and Thor: Dark World.
By then we'll all be scrapping up money for our PS4's and XB1's... plan ahead. The only thing Mondo is doing is giving your wallet a break..

How are the metallics? I heard some reports that they aren't really there. Makes me super worried. Also that shipping info also makes me worried. Did you get a tracking number from Alex?

You wish! The prints I have now (minus a couple I'd like to get rid of) are all ones I don't plan on ever selling. All in all with a rough estimate, my collection is worth about $4500 all together right now. Seems like a lot, but then you look at someone like listerfeend who has every print Stout has ever done, including an original sketch he did when he was in the 2nd grade of a penis, It's not really that much.

I feel like I'm starting to get tired of Stouts stuff. Unless its an abnormal composition from him it really won't catch my interest. His Reservoir Dogs for example was great. SotD looked like the normal collage.
What really sold me on the Shaun was the perspective shift with the beer glasses on the title. A cool idea that turned out really well, in my opinion.

I decided to have my wife open them and describe them to me. She knows nothing about any of these series so it was humourous.
Here's what she described :
- A pirate smoking a cigarette... He could be a military guy
- A woman cop eating a Hoogie
- A fox with a partridge, and frog
- Another smoking pirate one
- Another fox... oh look a bunny too
- A girl with a bucket... ya your selling this one. I don't like it. She looks like a judgemental bitch.
Ha ha. She was glad to hear 'girl with a bucket' is highly trade-able.
So I ended up with:
Snake Standing x2 - 1 traded, 1 available
Fox x2 - keeping 1, traded 1
Jill - keeping
Aerith - traded
Planning to keep a Fox and Jill.
I'm looking for Link, Dhalsim (traded for), Chop Chop Master Onion or Snake in a Box.
Also any of those 5x5 Pokemon prints by Olly would be awesome!!

What does everyone use for flat storage for unframed prints? I was thinking of some sort of archival storage box, but I haven't really found anything locally at the right size. Those 24x36 zip up binder portfolios are very expensive.

Picturesque portfolio. Although, I really need a flat file. I might be able to score one from work.... but then I have no place to put one. :|

Until I found a flat file, I just used 2 pieces of foamcore (30x40) and layered glassine sheets between the prints and used binder clips around the outside to hold everything together. You can probably get 10+ prints between 2 pieces before you'd want to get another set.
Or just get a flat file, they're great.
kitty there are plenty of Stouts I don't have yet, like 'Akira' for example, you wanna help me out? I'll trade you this sketch of a penis I just made...
