Will this sit around as long as 8bit Adventure time? Looks horrible and I liked SvsS as a kid.

Yeah, it's still available. I kinda like it and I have a perfect spot for it at home.
Is there a reason why 8bit Adventure time is $85? Because it doesn't look very good and I don't know why anyone would buy that at that price.
I think the premium price is because it's a set.
Exactly why it's still sitting there no one is going to pay that. Maybe for $20.

So to store my prints, I got some of those giant cardboard folders from the art store, and laid the prints in them between two sheets of Kraft paper (matte side in?). Secured it with six bulldog clips. Does this sound good?

kraft paper nor the cardboard are acid free.
so while that will help protect them in the short term, you need to move to acid free foam board and glassine interleaving paper sooner rather than later

Yeah I'm surprised we haven't heard about it either. I'm guessing they didn't include any in the first main shipment. The only other person that apparently got one also got theirs yesterday.
I hope "soon" doesn't take forever.

I'd laugh if that honestly happens. I have weird luck usually so who knows.
Since the ikea frame I used for my previous print was so cheap, I was going to grab another for this print... And if I got the notice, I'd probably buy a print for it too.
