Piece of crap! It's true. I just tested out checking out by paypal. From Japan it takes 10 extra seconds for paypal to load as opposed to someone who lives in america. I never stood a chance for any of Moss' nor JC Richard's poster drops.

They were all:

Dammit! This means I don't stand a chance at the ansins tomorrow either =(

That's interesting. Though makes sense as I'd assume paypal would be hosted in the states.

Yeah, I was wondering how people were able to check out so fast when they posted their transaction times on EB.

I posted this on EB, but this is how I tested it out:

My sis lives in la. We both timed checking out via paypal at some other sites. Tried two different sites. Timing starts once the add to cart button is pressed. Timing stops once you can click the pay now button after logging in to paypal.

Result 1: For Dan McCarthy's site:

Sis' check out time (Los angeles): 15 secs +/- 1 sec for margin of error.
My check out time: 24 secs +/- 1 sec for margin of error.

Result 2: For posters and toys:

Sis' check out time (los angeles): 20 secs +/- 1 sec for margin of error
My check out time: 32 secs +/- 1 sec for margin of error.

It takes an extra 10 seconds to load paypal from Japan. Keeping in mind my ping/upload/download speed is better than my lil sis'. No way in hell I get Olly's tweets 10 secs before people in the awesome country that is america. Once again, america is too damn awesome. I never stood a fair chance at any of Moss' drops -- nor JC's too.

This time does not even include the extra time it would take for payment to process once I press pay now. Drymount it all.

anyways, good luck on the ansins today.

Looks like I won't be bothering with the popular drops anymore as I stand no chance. I would much rather a lottery system but can't see it happening.

You're not in the U.S.? and yeah, I wouldn't mind if we were all competing on even ground -- but we're not. We never even stood a chance at the Jurassic Park, Fortress of Solitude, Totoro, or Mario drops. What is even worse off is I didn't know I had 0% chance of getting it. These things drop in the middle of the am for me here in Japan. I have to wake up/stay up for 'em. It was all a waste of time. None of it is anyone's fault though. I'm not blaming Moss nor am I blaming JC Richard or Paypal. It's just how it works. Lottery would be better odds for us but it would be undesirable for the majority of people. The only way it can really work is for it to be sold on Mondo -- which is not possible. There's really nothing we can do about it and that's what really sucks when it all comes down to it =(

i completely agree Mr Bird. The only time i ever have luck is through mondo and that seems to be it. I'm not trying to be whiny like all those mondoFB people but i never stood a chance at JC's APs, Moss's APs etc. I just have to remember the prints I want now and become rich later.

Nah Australia. Woke up at 3am the other day to try my luck at the moss print. Missed out, and went back to bed. No big loss, just won't bother again.

That single horizontal piece is going to look amazing framed.

I just realized that it's only 16x36. That seems sort of odd. Not too sure if I actually want it now...

its a run out of 420 i think, so it shouldnt be hard to get but usually a day or two after the mondo drop, phantom city will just drop the APs on their site.
