The eagle has landed! Just transferring data over. It looks like someone went up to my OG, and squashed it. Slim, discrete and solid. Though still want black plates. Think I preferred the OG's led strip position. But yeah decent well built bit of kit.

Dunno why I just bought this,. I have never put a PS5 game disc in my launch PS5 Disc edition, and 3 years since I've put a Blu-Ray or PS4 game disc in.

Doesn't come out till the 21th.
Mine was delivered, the setup was nice and easy, attached the disk drive no problem then ran into trouble re attaching the bloody cover, booted up logged in and paired my Edge controller, Portal and pulse explore buds, the Edge does carry over your custom profiles too which is a added bonus, unplugged put the M.2 from base PS5 in, struggled to re attach the cover again 
, after nearly losing my rag when I finally did everything was there no issues at all.
First game booted up Astro Bot a game not enhanced as wanted to get this weeks speed run planet out of the way
, then onto F1, it's a game I play continuously and has had lots of praise over the pro enhancement and wow the difference was night and day instantly in both quality and performance mode, am now moving onto Roft Apart Ratchet is one of my favourite game franchises and during the until release my grandfather was ill and eventually died, I have not touched it since so am jumping in fresh with shiny with the new pro enhancements.

I'm thinking of giving it a week to prevent hardware damage so I can get that first post launch patch before running the machine.
Did the same with PS5 actually.
I'm an IT guy. I baby my favorite machines which is a sharp contrast for how I treat everything else. If you baby your machine you will be able to tell much quicker when an issue arises and have confidence in the cause. That is how I stay in the game.
If you are the guy who buys my launch PS5, you are lucky, you got a mint one that was only used in a cool, dry, dark open space with infinite air flow and only the best games and only after their first post launch patch.
