Revenge porn is a literal criminal offense in a growing number of countries, and rightly so. Imprisonment, of one form or another, for that crime isn't the ridiculously outlandish idea that you are trying to paint it as.

I agree with the general point, that people chasing bans could better spend their time elsewhere.

I've lurked for years, OT especially, and I just recently got my account up and running.

I love this place, love the discussions, the debates, gaming side news and while I do agree at times OT was a circle jerk depending on the topic, I found it absolutely valuable. I learned a lot about certain political issues and social issues and shit. I cherished all of the information OT provided both hobbyist and political and the opinions people had about the situations.

I honestly believe OT helped me grow as a person and I'm sure many others would agree that OT helped them in more ways than one. It was a real sense of community and I'm echoing the statement that it was an internet home for me. A daily routine.

The gutting of OT is just stupid, absolutely stupid, and it only serves to keep the talk about EL dirty deeds hidden. It's so blatently self serving.

I didn't know about the ass grabbing, the revenge porn and the objectification of women posts. I knew about the mod paedo stuff but I didn't know about how hard EL and the mods were trying to scrub that shit clean. He [EL] has a clear history of shady behaviour.

The way this situation was handled, the two different responses he had to the situation, one about a threesome jealousy and then the other just shooting the victim down for mental health issues is downright disgusting.

Fucking.Christ.

Show some accountability.

What's worse, the masks are dropping within the community with people revealing their selves. We got people outright defending or ignoring the the past things EL has done which shows a clear pattern of behaviour....just so they can talk about their games.

I have no issue with the people that are asking for their perma's in a sign of protests and I have the up most respect for those that refuse to stay after what has happened recently and what was discovered about the past.
