The Top 20 Guns Sold (by one dealer) in the US in 2012

This comes from a sales email I got from Budsgunshops.com which is one of the biggest gun dealers in the country. Now the list and positions most likely vary with different retailers and if Wal-Mart and other big box stores were added I think ARs, shotguns, and hunting rifles might be higher...but it's better than nothing. Certain things like the used Smith and Wessons can be discounted as they only appear online mostly

nagants are good and cheap. Surprised to see so many Rugers, where is GLOCK? they seem to be more popular
I don't know especially since buds does sell Glocks. Just as surprised to see no XDs. I suspect the sales are driven by what they get in. However they have had trade ins for LE Glocks so I'm surprised.

Hipoints lol Surprised more Kel Tecs aren't there.

Ruger makes good quality and cheap guns. So I'm not surprised.

Either I made up lies about the Boston Bomber or I fell for someone else's crap. Either way, I have absolutely no credibility and you should never pay any attention to anything I say, no matter what the context. Perm me if I claim to be an insider
Hi Point, still making Saturday Night Specials I see.

The Soviet farmers in the 50s and 60s out in the wilderness would often go out hunting with Nagants and then just leave them in the forest since they weren't worth carrying back lol. They also used them for fence posts.

The thread title is misleading, as is those stats I would imagine.

I find it really hard to believe the 10/22 isn't on there, among other things.

Nagants are getting quite ancient at this point in history, but it seems like they're real cheap. I wonder how many Red Dawn fans bought them this year—maybe a lot of people like the idea of owning old Russian rifles.

They are pretty old but god damn the Soviets cranked out like 35 billion of them.

That's like a bunch of pawn shop crap.

Although I'm kinda interested in that M10. But after looking at one at Sportsmans Warehouse it kinda looks like a fancy WASR. Maybe I'll just keep saving for that Arsenal.

smh @ two Hi-Points in the top 20...

I guess we can be happy it was Phoenix Arms or Locrin! I sold my CZ-82 to a guy who CCW's a HiPoint. lol

A Nagant isn't an easily concealed weapon, also it's bolt action.

It's not exactly the weapon of choice for psycho's when it comes to doing something awful.

Don't tell him about the Nagant Revolver then. Shhh.

The 199 Tokarevs and P64's would really make him start cracking....heaven forbid he learns of the CZ-82!

Aimsurplus.com is pretty popular for the C&R stuff.

Yeah, just make sure you get a C&R first. No reason to pay a transfer on it!

I thought it would be this:

Yeah I know nothing about guns...

The 10/22 comes in so many variations and models, that I assume is why it's not on the list. The list is pretty particular with stuff such as the exact Mossberg 500 version.

The one good thing about Nagants is they can digest the poorest quality of ammo. And, yes, they do make nice fence posts. ^.^
