it's ke$ha's time
Igloo Australia hasn't got the skills, wit or rhymes to kill the rapgame.
Yeah, but dat ass.
Replace the her and she with him and he and you're talking about Drake. It just rubs me the wrong way when I see someone so detached from the culture do it. And the way her fame just skyrocketed once she picked up that fake accent.
I've never heard of her until that SC bit. Yeah, that's how much I'm into pop.

Rolex's don't tick-tock
But damn it baby, my time costs
And damn it baby, my time is money
So I need payback for all the time lost
I need payback for all the time lost
Said, I need payback for all the time lost
Damn it baby, my time costs
So I need payback for all the time lost

Here's something to think about...
What if I went into a mall wearing a marine's uniform, badges and everything. All the stores are giving me discounts and then afterwards I go into a bar and I'm getting free drinks and people start giving me nods of respect and then I start telling people about how I believe in fighting for my country and war is some serious stuff and how real it is over in Iraq............but then someone asks me how long I've been a marine for and I say "oh I'm not a marine, I just like rocking the uniform and acting like a marine."
What's wrong here is that I took an identity and a perspective that had to be earned and stole it to benefit from it.
This is what iggy is doing. She isn't a black girl from the south who has grown up in the culture. She's a white girl from australia, who stole an identity for profit.
Most rapper's music are just extensions of themselves. For the most part, they might not be gangstas but they atleast grew up around the shit. They stay authentic and talk about their identity, they just turn it up a little bit for the audience.
Eminem is a poor white boy from Detroit with a fucked up childhood, and that's what he raps about.
Mac Miller is a kid from Pittsburgh who likes weed and bitches, and that's what he raps about.
Macklemore is a suburban clown from Seattle and that's what he raps about.
None of them drastically change their accent.
Iggy is a white girl from australia but she doesn't rap about that. She raps about American culture, specifically black American culture and uses a black accent from the south.
The bitch came over here, stole an identity for profit and literally took millions and millions of dollars away from real artists who could've been given her spot in the music industry.
Think about that the next time you say some shit like "oh rappers just salty af because they not shinin like iggy"
Foh.
If it makes you feel any better all of her lyrics were probably written by some black guy from the south.QFT:

Most of PopGAF think Iggy is trash so don't worry about us boo.You have to be scraping the bottom of the fucking barrel to be stanning for Iggy Azalea.
Come on Popgaf, you're better than this.

I don't think anyone in popgaf stans her. A lot of us prefer the far superior Azealia Banks.
Jesus fucking Christ.....
Queen Iggy didn't steal any identity. She was influenced (like pretty much every artist in existence) by southern hip-hop/rappers. She has her own style and swagger.
And can y'all stop mentioning Azealia Stanks in the same sentence as the Queen? Thank you, kindly.

Read her lips.

Pretty much every artist in existence was influenced by southern blues musicians and pioneers of Deejay/Soundsystems/Producers coming out of Jamaica since the 1950s

Iggy is like The Order of the OT side
is she popgaf or hiphop gaf?
either way, it's getting to be a bit much. At least wrestling gaf makes up for their spamming with terrific gifs

Gurl stop.
Iggy's bordering-on-racist-caricature fake accent is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to problems with this artiste. Azealia is a terrible person too as evidenced by her homophobic and bigoted comments on Twitter and her Bill Cosby comments, but the difference is that she HAS talent AND an amazing album (BWET).
Igor has neither and will be joining Azealia in the irrelevance pile shortly, seeing how Trouble already flopped.
Naw, I'm good. It's not necessary because if you took the time or care to search for 5 minutes you'll find a great modern rap album. Whether it be through the GAF-Hop thread, the AOTY awards, reviewers, soundcloud, bandcamp, etc. It's not really difficult.
The Iggy hate would be rightfully labelled racist if she were a black woman trying to break out in a white subculture. I'm tired of the weak, transparent attempts at framing this outrage as anything but racially fuelled. It is, and I say that as a black person that doesn't give a fuck about race or gender when it comes to art and artistic expression.
I don't care if her music sucks, whether she can rap or not or whether she's a phony because she puts on an accent. Since when has quality ever been requisite for mainstream success? Since when has there been such an outrage against people not sounding the way they speak when they perform? It's all bullshit, paper thin justifications for what is essentially puerile, incessant whining.
I'm always here for the Ke$ha resurgence.

Nope, just transparent carpetbaggers. Mac Miller, Action Bronson, Yelawolf, Vinnie Paz, Ill Bill, those dudes get respect from their peers.Let's be blunt and honest.
The hate about white Hip Hop/rappers is strong.
Hahaha, you need to sign up for some musical education. Deluded
Also, fixed that for you:
